Poorly maintained

House desperately needs TLC. Pictures don’t tell the story. Mice still an issue. Kitchen lacks many necessities. Make sure you pack kitchen towels or use the bathroom ones we did. Poor support from local Vacasa team. Thankful it was beautiful this week, temps were great and Shaver is a special place. First time we have ever cut our trip short.

Lots of Room with two living area levels. Location in Granite Creek provides for large lots in the woods and a isolated jogging/hiking trail surrounding the subdivision

Great Shaver Lake Place

We used the house for a ski trip to China Peak. It was about a 35 minute drive to the resort from the house. The house was clean but there were a few things that show a little wear. It appears that some of the flatware has gone missing over time, so plan for that. The house was spacious and had more TVs than we used. Really quiet neighborhood We would definitely stay here again.

The house is very spacious and comfortable. It had comfortable bedrooms with ceiling fans in every room. The carpet needs some TLC but overall the house was nice. I would book this place again.

This home is a beautiful place to stay with family or friends.

The residence is very spacious. Clean, and comfortable. Took my wife and kids and they loved it! Had a great time with them all. Definitely will recommend to my family and friends. And I will definitely come back to this place if we plan to come around that area.

Relaxing and Comfortable

This home was relaxing, comfortable, and we would definitely consider staying again. However, we’re giving it four stars instead of five because we felt a few essentials were missing. It would have been helpful to have basic items like trash bags, kitchen towels, updated pots and pans, food storage containers, mixing bowls, ample silverware, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and refilled hand soap and body wash. Some areas of the home could also benefit from a refresh, such as the bathroom and kitchen rugs, as well as the carpet. While these weren’t dealbreakers, they are worth noting. Having cable TV throughout the home would have been a nice added touch as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but believe a few thoughtful updates could take this home from good to great.

Great first time experience.

It was our first time ever renting a vacation home, to a town we have never been. I don’t think we will ever stay in a hotel/motel again. This was a beautiful home, very spacious. Great views (we even got to see 🦌 deer) right outside. Large bathtub with jets was awesome & the shower with two shower heads was awesome too. Great water pressure as well. Def would recommend and hope to rent again when it’s surrounded by snow, it would be beautiful. Very easy to book/arrive/ checkout. So thank you for a great weekend!

Snowy weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. The home was roomy and comfortable for us and our young kids. The home does need a little tlc. Also would recommend getting a new front door key pad as we couldn’t get in when we arrived. Vacasa was very helpful and gave us the code for the back up keys. Overall we really enjoyed the cabin and would definitely book again.

Great house and location..just needs better pest control and cleaning.

Saw a mouse the first night we got there..that was after 20 minutes of standing at the front door in 35 degrees im the dark unable to gain access due to either an incorrect code or faulty deadbolt locking mechanism. The beds were comfortable. Linens were great...kitchen was well stocked. Loved the neighborhood!

Nice comfortable place

Took my family up for a snowy holiday weekend. The place was well stocked and nice floor plan. Really nice wilderness location and we had tons of snow. The only negatives were mice droppings all over the kitchen (I emailed Vacasa with pictures but never heard back) and the wifi needs updating - it was very slow. The night I arrived the door lockbox code didn’t work but I was able to contact Vacasa support and get a new, working code to let me inside. If the mice issue were fixed I would definitely recommend this place.

Not impressed

This home needs a lot of upgrades. Not sure why they can’t fix the AC but if you stay here make sure you bring your own fans because you can’t even turn on the fan upstairs because it looks and sounds like it’s going to fall off, bring your own pots and pans to cook because the ones here are very old and dirty and kitchen cabinets have rat droppings. Carpet is filthy and well as the patio outside. Don’t be fooled by the pictures online, I will not be renting this home ever again.

Reviews tell the true story.

I read the reviews prior to booking this listing and assumed (my mistake) the property management team would address issues like mice and lack of common kitchen necessities. They did not. Warn/stained carpets and throw rugs, no kitchen towels, holes in screens still an issue.The directions and codes were helpful however the lock box for the key is difficult to open and access the key. Front door needs force to open. Temps in upper 60’s when we arrived, beautiful and opened the windows to air out the house. Slider screen was shut but saw a mouse run across the living room and into laundry room. Shut door to keep mouse in there. Discovered the bottom of the screen is not intact, it must have slid in from there. (We hope) Notified Vacasa via text and was told they had alerted the local management team and they would handle the situation. 3 days later we contacted Vacasa again, still no word from local team. Do to the proximity of the laundry room to the bedroom we would hear it while we are trying to sleep. Squirrels entering under eave, running around in the crawl space above our heads nightly.Day 2 started BBQ and before we could get the meat on, we were out of propane. Sunday, finally got a text sticky traps and propane were on the way. Unfortunately we had already packed up and left a day early. The score of 1 is simply for the great weather and Shaver activities. First time less than satisfied with Vacasa. More attention to detail between guests solves these issues.

Expected more.

Other reviews said it needs tlc and they were right. The downstairs carpet is long overdue for cleaning. The outdoor furniture could use some updating, the grill was dirty when we arrived. It did have plenty of linens, the WiFi was better than expected. The hardest part of our stay is dealing with the call center for Vacasa. We come to shaver lake twice a year and we try to avoid the bigger companies due to lack of customer service. We rented this place because our family was in a rental directly behind us (the Pinnacle) however due to construction they canceled that reservation 2 days prior to our arrival. Not for an emergency but because construction wasn't complete which I think they should've known earlier than 48 hrs prior. Thankfully they found another rental through another company. Would love to rent this house again just not through Vacasa.

Our Happy Place

Our third visit to this property. We love it! We love the duel head showers, jacuzzi tub, large stocked kitchen, huge back patio, fireplace, and location (minutes to town and the lake). Always clean and inviting.

Work Trip

Some of our crew members stayed here for a project we were completing in the area. They stayed here twice because they enjoyed the place so much. We spent almost a full month at this location in total. No complaints, highly recommend

Love This Property

Second time renting this property. Very clean and inviting. Beautiful home in a quaint neighborhood tucked amongst the forrest and mountains of Shaver Lake. Kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils and gadgets you would need to make a tasty snack or meal. We love cooking in this kitchen. Jacuzzi tub is great, especially after a long day of hiking and fishing (Shaver Lake is about 10 miles utensils away). Living room is spacious and inviting complete with gas fireplace and bar. Bedrooms are also spacious and comfortable. Back patio has a grill and seating for 12. Great for barbecuing and hosting family or friend get togethers. We will defined be back again and again and again.

Beautiful Propery

Property was just as described. Super clean. Excellent communication with property owners and they were quick to respond to any questions we had. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and dinnerware which was great because we love to cook and did so every night. The house floor plan is perfect for small or large groups. It was just us two for the weekend and everything from the jacuzzi tub to the bar off of the living room made us feel like we were at a resort property. Flat screens in all rooms and bathrooms well stocked with TP, soap, shampoo etc. The fireplace was a definite highlight during the chilly nights and added to the already beautiful/relaxing atmosphere of the spacious living room. We also took advantage of the huge back patio, we grilled and played board games surrounded by woods and the sounds of nature. We can't say enough good things about this property. We are already planning our next visit.
