Apt. T1 Offers A Spacious Terrace of 12m2.facing South With Sea View.

Casita Das Andainas as been given a official licence from Tavira for tourisme rental. It is on the 2nd floor with the terrace on the 3th. Floor facing south with BBQ, 2 long chairs, table, four chairs, sink and a fridge for cold drinks. You will want to enjoy the evenings with a nice glass of wine watching the sunset and observe the fisherman coming back from the sea with their fresh catch or watch the locals play the very popular game of petanque on the square a small distance away.

The apt is divided into 1 sleeping room, furnished with a comfortable double bed and 1 bathroom with bath and bidet. The living room-kitchen is at the other end of the corridor with bay-windows overlooking the quiet street Das Andainas with her palms and other mature trees on a well kept lawn. The kitchen is well equipped for easy meals or for elaborate dinners. The owner put a special touch on the lighting to create a warm and cosy atmosphere. Casita Das Andainas is also equipped with flat-screen tv dvd/cd and books and games. And if you feel lazy you can always grab a bite across the street. You have a choice of several restaurants and snack-bars that offer the fresh catch of the day at a modest price.

Michelle and Willem been married for 31 years.She is from Canada, Montreal. Speaks French, English, Dutch and Portuguese. Her husband is from Holland has a captain´s licence and speaks Dutch, English, German, Arabic,, French, Hivrit and Portuguese. They have been living in Portugal for the last 16 years with their daughter Suzanne. Casita das Andainas is their second apt here in the Algarve for holiday rental. With their experience they aim to answer all your expectations and wishes.

Why Michelle (owner) chose Santa Luzia

Years ago we discovered Santa-Luzia and found it to be an authentic, friendly small fishing village.

Walking along the boulevard on the river bank we feel that time slows down here to a peaceful rhythm.

It´s easy to enjoy simple things like a nice coffee in the morning on one of the plenty sunny terraces watching the fisherman going out to sea. Or sipping a nice wine on a peaceful evening while the aquatic birds fly once more over the lagoon to find their resting ground for the night.

This particular region of the east Algarve is known as the Polvo coast, the coast of the octopus, for most of

the octopus caught in the Algarve comes from Santa-Lucia.The restaurants along the boulevard all have their own recipes for delicious octopus dishes.

The overall genuine atmosphere of the place made us decide to buy an apartment for tourist rental and,eventually, our own old age.

What makes this apartment unique

The main features of this apt is the lovely well maintained street with it's mature trees and palms and the proximity of the RiaFormosa Nature Reserve with the Ilha Estreita beach.The apt. itself has a comfortable feeling to it because of the quality of the wood finish and glazed doors. The terrace with its breath-taking sea-view has the perfect size for sun bathing, family barbecue or just lazy days. Its a quiet street even in the high season, you are just far enough to be away from it all and close enough to join in, a small walk away.

Excellent apartment in a lovely fishing village.

The apartment had everything we wanted and needed. This is our second time staying in the apartment and we will certainly be going again. This lovely apartment is just off the front at Santa Luzia which is a lovely walk at night after a meal. The nearest shop is a 3 minute walk.

Great apartment with stunning views from the roof terrace

The apartment is lovely and very well equipped for a self catering holiday, although there are plenty of bars and restaurants close by if you don't want to cook. Sunny roof terrace with stunning views of the Ria Formosa. Michelle and William are a lovely couple, really helpful, with good correspondence from the start of our booking. We would definitely recommend this apartment and Santa Luzia.

PERFECT STAY AT SANTA LUZIA, ALGARVE

We had the absolute pleasure to stay in Michelle's great apartment in Santa Luzia for a month when we visited the Algarve in March & April, it felt so much like a home from home from the moment we walked through the door, we settled straight away. It is a lovely spacious one bed apartment on the top floor of a building on one of the first streets you turn into arriving in Santa Luzia from Tavira. There is stairs to climb to the second floor but its good excercise and the common areas are immaculate. This building has the great benefit of being very close to the sea front so an early morning walk is wonderful, past the fishing nets and along the seafront. There is a wonderful independent roof terrace, accessed one further flight up from Michelles apartment where you can breakfast or lounge or have a wonderful bbq in the early evening, great views.

The apartment is immaculate. quiet and well equipped with everything you would need for a stay, you could live here on a permanent basis in fact, as it has everything. The WiFi works really well and Michelle is on the end of a phone or email if you need to ask any questions. We get great recommendations for places to go and things to do in the area. Michelle is an incredibly friendly person, her communications are great, she speaks several languages and has lived in the Algarve fro 23 yeas so knows all about the local area, it was a great pleasure to meet with her.

Highly recommended space to rent for a great getaway.

Thanks again Michellle, we'll be back.

Lovely clean compact apartment with fantastic roof terrace

The owners Michelle and William were very welcoming.

The apartment is in a quiet location but only a short stroll from the harbour and restaurants . Views from the roof terrace are wonderful

Santa Luzia is a lovely relaxed fishing village with great fish restaurants. The nearby town of Tavira is easily accessible by public transport

We had an lovely week helped by constant sunshine

Thank you Michelle and William for such an enjoyable holiday

We will certain return to Santa Luzia

Comfortable apartment ideally situated. Perfect base for a chilling holiday.

The apartment is ideally situated towards the end of the village and provides you with everything you could need on holiday. The star of the show is the rooftop terrace where you can relax and get the sun all day whilst watching the small boats sail in and out. It's only a short walk along the waterfront to the ferry which will take you to the amazing beach and back for 2 euros. The owners couldn't have been more helpful during our stay without being intrusive. William picked us up from the airport and took us back for a very reasonable charge. If we return to Santa Luzia we would definitely book here again.

Why we choose Santa-Luzia? First of all for it's beautiful 12km uncrowded,clean and safe beaches. The beach at Terra Estreita is only 5min by ferry boat away and Barril beach at 1.5km easy walk.along the Ria Formosa. Than across the river by narrow-gauge train.

The village itself offers all year around good restaurants, bars with live-music at weekend nights and of course a welcome feeling from the uncomplicated local people of the east Algarve.

Santa.Lucia is only 3km from the historical roman town of Tavira-The Venice of the Algarve: Tavira is located 3km east, is a picturesque town nicknamed 'Venice of the Algarve' witch date back to 2000 BC an illustration of medieval,renaissance and baroque art, crammed with historic church, a castle, an ancient Roman bridge and various museum (the area is renowned for its fishing history / particulary for tuna) frequent art exhibitions are also in display. Maps and orientation are provided on what to see.

From Tavira by train you can reach all the coast of the Algarve and maybe make a trip to Ayamonte, Spain, 20 min by train and ferry, to enjoy tapas and Spanish hospitality.

Also 10 min by train to the small village of Fuzeta where you will find the school of kite surfing, dolphin siting tours or leasure trips on the Ria Formosa and deep see fishing. If you are more of the sporty type, the ecovia of the Algarve will bring you trough the beautiful scenery of the salt pans where a multitude of birds can be watched such as, flamingo, stork and a various other aquatics birds.

Further in the west Algarve you will find Zoo marine, 40min on the motorway where you can swim with dolphins. Or water shoot park Loulé, 35 min. Excellent markets: Tavira, Fuzeta,Moncarapacho, Ayamont, Cacela Nova and many more. Michelle and William ,the owners, have official schedule of all the markets in the apt and google maps of all destination worth visiting

.Algarve as the best golfing climate in europe and Santa-Luzia is only at 8 km from the Benamor top range golf course and facilities. to the west you have the Vale de Lobo.Quinta de Lago. To the east Quinta a cima, Quinta da Ria within 15 min drive.

During winter rentals, electricity is charge at 17 cents per kwh with the meter being read on arrival and departure.
We have a AAA low cost energy air-conditioning/heater. We highly recommend this apt. for the winter due to its comfort and low cost heating system. We provide pick-up at the airport if you prefer not to rent a car at 30 euros per trip and 10 euro extra for night time.
