This charming, colonial style home in a quiet, neighborhood is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of life. The moment you walk in, it feels like home.
Great for weekend, weekly, or seasonal rentals. (Seasonal rate negotiable; perfect for two families to share.) Home offers privacy and quiet for those who need it - and plenty of rooms/space for larger gatherings. Open eat-in kitchen/dining area perfect for sharing meals and fun.

Property features large front and back yards (plenty of room for kids to play), firepit; large, eat-in, fully equipped kitchen/dining area, 4 bedrooms (sleeps up to 12), 2 full baths, living room, den, 'retro' game room, attached one-car garage with ample driveway parking.

Only 2 miles from the Loon Mountain Ski Resort, we are a 5 minute walk from the downtown area featuring restaurants, movie theater, retail shops, grocery stores, mini golf, and more. Just up the road are plenty of places to swim, hike, and explore the woods on bike or foot. A five minute drive from this home brings you to the neighboring town of North Woodstock which also offers dining, shopping, and live entertainment most weekends.

HISTORY: This home is privately owned and managed by the eight children of a local couple who raised their family here. We return here every year as a family. Over 60 years ago, we purchased the home from Lincoln's town physician - who lived in the main part of the home and whose office and visiting area were located in the current attached apartment (currently occupied).

AIR CONDITIONING/FANS: Window air conditioning in 3 of 4 bedrooms during August and September; fans available for use in other rooms when needed; 3 of 4 bedrooms and the living room also have ceiling fans.

NOISE: Because we live in a family neighborhood and have a full-time renter in the attached separate apartment, we do not allow large parties and ask that you keep noise to a minimum outside after 9:00 p.m.

PETS: Most dogs allowed but must be approved by owner before reservation confirmed. One dog allowed and $20/night pet fee applies. Lincoln has a leash law so dogs cannot roam or be in yard unattended. Dog tie-out is in the back yard for your use. Should dog be left unattended in our home, must be crated or restricted to the kitchen/dining area (doors close off this large space).

FIREPLACE: Non-working at this time

HOLIDAY WEEKENDS: 3-night minimum stay

SEASONAL/LONG-TERM RENTERS: All utility costs (heat, electric, WIFI) are in addition to the negotiated seasonal/long-term rate. Owner bills tenant monthly for the utilities and tenant reimburses owner within 15 days of receipt of invoice. Utilities vary month-to-month based on tenant usage and current rates.

GRILL: located in garage and to be used outside of garage

RECYCLING: Recycling bins are provided in the garage. Please use them throughout your stay.

MINIMUM AGE to Rent Our Home: 26

COVID/OTHER ILLNESS CANCELLATION POLICY: Should there be a COVID or OTHER ILLNESS -related shutdown (town, county, state, or federal) of local ski resorts and major ski areas*, e.g., Loon Mountain, Cannon Mountain, etc, which prevents the use of our property by the tenant(s), landlord will issue a 50% refund for any unused room nights after tenant(s) have vacated the premises.

It may not be a house for everyone, for example, if your style is ultra modern, but this house is lovely and plenty big, with a nice yard, functional kitchen/dining space for family dinners, and large bedrooms. Kids will especially love the third floor bedroom with 4 twins.

The ideal seasonal rental

We were two families who shared this rental for the winter/ski season and thoroughly enjoyed our time in the house. The location was ideal with a short drive to Loon and right in town for restaurants and shopping. The house had ample space for our two families and the well equipped kitchen with large dining room served us well for family dinners. The owners were very responsive and helpful throughout the rental period. We feel extremely lucky to have found such a great rental for the season!

All weekend I kept saying to our group how I wanted to move into this house. It was perfect. Cozy, immaculate, well stocked with towels and toiletries AND had toys!!! My 2 year old was in heaven. So Relaxing and Welcoming For All of Us!!

As soon as you arrive, you can tell that this home has been well taken care of. As soon as you walk IN - well, you can feel the love that was shared here!! Awesome retro family photos contrast with the newly updated and spacious kitchen. The deck that seats many is a great spot to chill and have a cold drink in the afternoon sun (sigh)- we were lucky to be there on a beautiful May day. So many locations to walk to - coffee shops, great restaurants, shopping or to Alpine Adventures to try your skill at Zip-lining (it rocks!) Highly recommend this place - the owners are very accommodating !

Yearly family get together

The pictures are very accurate and very very homey feeling as soon as you walk in. Well, it didn't hurt that there was cookies and wine on the island, 🍷 But what the pictures don't show is a Mom and Dad and their 8 children that grew up in this house and you can almost feel what it might have been like? Nice house with no scary noises at night. My wife and I slept very sound in the king room. Two blocks to the main st RT 112 and the grocery store amongst every other store in Lincoln.

Feels like Home

We have been coming to Loon Mtn for the past 5 or 6 years attending the Highland Games. This by far has been the best home we have stayed in. All the rooms including the bedrooms are very spacious. With our group of 10 adults, we had plenty of room to relax. The kitchen opens into the dining room which makes it easy to cook and entertain. Within a short walk (5min), you are in the center of town where there is plenty of shops and restaurants, and don't forget to try the ice cream. We all had a wonderful weekend. Its nice that people open there homes for others to enjoy.

The house was great, very nostalgic and plenty of space. We had 10 Adults sleeping comfortably. The owners were dog friendly as one of the couples were allowed to bring their fur baby on the trip. The house was clean and the owners were nice enough to leave us a bottle of wine and cookies as a welcome. The location of this house is on point. It is off the main road, but is literally down the road from Loon Ski Mountain and minutes away from the highway. The house itself is great but the location is the best thing, especially if you plan on a ski weekend at Loon. Great house overall, would definitely consider renting again in the future.

Home away from home in the White Mountains

Our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 elementary-school-aged children) rented this house for 4+ months in the Covid winter of 2020-2021. It was the perfect home away from home. We were able to host out-of-town family & friends (after appropriate quarantine periods & testing, of course) during longer vacation periods. Everyone who visited loved both the house and their time in New Hampshire. The owners are very communicative and extremely helpful. The location is perfect for walking to town and to the plethora of outdoor activities in the White Mountains. We skied at 4 different mountains during our stay. The house was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything you need and there are tons of recreational items available for your use as well. We grilled, even in the dead of winter, and used the fire pit a few times. We hope to visit again in the near future.

Fun in New England!

Great house with great history in a great location

The home is large and well maintained and in a great location. It is older and clearly more regulary "lived in" than homes which are exclusively used for VRBO rentals, but I think this added greatly to the charm. You could almost feel the memories of that house full of children in what looks like a tremendous and loving family! We love Lincoln and will not hesitate to stay here again next time we are in town!

Roomy home with lots of charm

The house is within walking distances to shops, restaurants and activities. There is plenty of room and the house has lots of charm with a third floor bedroom, a rec room in the basement and a large backyard. It is clean, neat and well taken care of. The kitchen has everything you’ll need for cooking with plenty of seating. The host is very responsive and got back to us right away every time I messaged her before our stay. The house is located in the center of Lincoln, it's very convenient to shop and eat. If you like to hike and ski, this place is very close to some of the best trails in the area. We had a great time hiking in the fall, and will definitely come back for more.

The House is a truly a perfect place for a vacation. Location in Lincoln is perfect for a guest(s) who seeks tranquility and access to the white mountains. 10 minutes drive from Echo Lake and Franconia Notch. The house is full of small touches that make the stay special. Charming, cozy and very functional. Kitchen is large and well equipped. Laundry room in the basement with all that is needed for the comfortable stay. Garage allows to keep all sport equipment outside and its well connected to the house. Communication with the host is very fluid. Host is very helpful to answer any questions during the stay. Overall, I would give the highest rating possible to this property and look forward to visit again.

I reside in southern NH with my husband, and we have two grown children. I grew up in this home, and I am the 4th child in a family of 8. Upon our parents' retirement, they decided to move to the southwest to be near a few of my sisters and to enjoy a warmer year-round climate. We are grateful that they also decided to turn this home over to us so we could continue to enjoy and build memories with our own families.

Why they chose this property

A bit of history:

Prior to our parents' purchase of this home around 1960, the local physician lived here and operated his practice out of the section of the home which is now a separate apartment. He became friends with my father (and his ever expanding family) and sold it to my dad for a very low price. It was a busy, active, and noisy home with 4 boys and 4 girls...and 2 dedicated, hard working parents.

Because of all the great memories we had being raised here, we wanted to keep it in the family so that our children could experience some of what made our growing up years in Lincoln, and in this home, so memorable and special.

My siblings and I still use our home and look forward to reuniting here with our families at least once/year.

What makes this property unique

Feels like a home and not just a rental property. Lots of backyard space for kids to enjoy...and toys for inside play. Walking distance to everything. Feeling of safety in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Close to all the White Mountain attractions, including great restaurants, theater, local swimming holes, mini-golf, skiing, night life at the Woodstock Station, and lots more. Perfect home for families and friends to share.
