Beautiful place, great hosts, great dogs!
It's a very cool house with lots of nice art, some done by Gayle, and lots of nice wood features. I was there on business, but felt like I was coming home at end of day. Gayle and Ray made me feel very welcome, as did Seymour and Doby. Very comfy bedroom and bed. One of the best home host places I've stayed at! Exceptionally clean. Great spot to explore from--don't forget to stop at Florissant Fossil Beds.
Thank you, Peter. We enjoyed having you visit our home. It was easy, you felt like family! Best wishes as you continue to travel and explore new places.
LGBTQ and Animal Friendly Mountain Getaway
This was our first stay in a home rental type property. We were unsure of what to think upon arriving and finding our room was on the same floor as the other rooms (our bad for not reading thoroughly!). The price and location were exactly what we were looking for, tho. Ray was SUPER great, it turns out! He was welcoming and very informative upon arrival (Gayle was out of town). We stayed a little less than a week (trip cut short by one day) and in that week we were extremely thankful for Ray's hospitality. Their animals and our animals got along famously. During the trip, we lost our brakes! We texted Ray about shops close that were trustworthy and he set out brake fluid just in case it was an easy fix, and pointed us toward a great garage. The same day we got our brakes fixed, we thought the transmission was going out, and Ray, again, was so knowledgeable and helpful to us. #vacuumlock. The house had everything we needed in handy spots. The fenced in back yard was fantastic for our two Irishdoodles to run around in. One concern we had while looking was making sure the owners were LGBTQ friendly, as we are a lesbian couple. I asked the tough question and we were accepted like it's no big deal (as it should be!). We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks Gayle and Ray!
Thank you for being so kind and understanding with my being out of town. Ray is such a super host and I never have to worry when I travel for work. He said time and time again how much he enjoyed having you and your dogs in the house. He mentioned you called him "answer man" because he was able to help with the car questions. He was proud to offer any help he could. We do hope you'll return. I still have to meet everyone and it will be the highlight of my day!
Clean and comfortable
This was our first time doing a shared house and it worked out great! The hosts, Gayle & Ray, were so nice and make you feel very comfortable. The house is large enough to hold several groups plus there are 3 outdoor areas which we took advantage of as the weather was so nice.
Thank you - it was so nice to meet you both. We appreciate your visit and also the package you sent! One day we hope to visit with you in Florida. Take care. : )
Home away from home
My stay was short, however, it felt like I arrived home and crawled into my own bed and off for a wonderful long sleep. The Hosts were wonderful, especially to open their home and to offer free range while staying there. I had a big weekend planned so I was up and back out on my adventure just past sunrise. I loved the area in general and will plan to return in the future and guess where I want to stay - HERE!!
Thank you, Robin. We enjoyed you being with us. We are happy you left a bit of your heart too! Always wishing you love and happiness on your journeys.
Hosts were friendly, inviting, and informative. Quiet setting, beautiful land, over all great place to stay.
Thank you. We really enjoyed meeting you. You were gracious, friendly and interesting to talk with. We wish you much success as you journey this new venture. We are happy you're now a part of the Colorado landscape. Leaving your mark for others to enjoy. Best wishes.
Warm hearted hospitality
Gayle and Ray open their home to share with travelers. They accommodate every need you might have, and make you feel very welcome. We were passing through Woodland Park, and spent two nights in their “Pikes Peak” room. We made use of the kitchen, living room, game rooms downstairs (pool table) and hot tub. We weren’t sure how we would like staying in someone’s personal space, but it worked well, and we didn’t feel awkward. It’s a great set up?
Thank you for providing a review of our home. We are grateful you had a wonderful time. Our only regret is that we didn't get to meet your daughter. We are sure she is as lovely as her parents. It was our honor to host your family and we look forward to meeting other travelers like yourselves.
