The check-in and check-out was very easy and straight forward. The owner is super easy to contact and gave 5 star customer service the whole way. The cabin and property were gorgeous, clean and everything was well stocked and comfortable. We had one of the best family vacations we've ever had here.

Unplug and get away! This property is the place to be. Beautifully furnished and designed cabin out in the country provides quiet, peaceful views. The kitchen utensils, pots, etc were clean and well kept. Coffee for the Keurig and a variety of seasonings were avaliable. Bathrroms included travel soaps, shampoo, etc. The backyard pond offered fishing including a 3.6 lb bass amongany 1.5 - 3 lb catches. Huge deer, exotic animals, etc. Graze and play nearby. We enjoyed trips into Dulphur Springs and to newrby lake parks.At night, turn off the lights, sit by the pond and soak in the infinite number of visible stars. You can clearly see the Milky Way.

Excellent all the way around

My wife and I went for a long weekend and we will definitely be back.The cabin was wondering and we took advantage of the jacuzzi and pool table and love them both.We enjoyed the wildlife on the ranch.Owner communicated well and was very fast to respond to questions.We will definitely go back with our sons and we will ask take another long weekend!!

Best kept secret

The Cabin,property and animals were amazing and there is nothing bad to say about the whole experience. My kids caught lots of fish, did a lot of hiking, saw deer and red stag that are amazing trophies. Plenty of firewood for the fireplace. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and all of the other luxuries that the cabin had to offer. We will definitely be going back.

Amazing Property!

This is a 5 star operation all around, the house is new and extremely clean and the grounds are well maintained. The house had all the supplies you would need and plenty of fishing gear for the beautiful fish filled lake right behind the house. With amazing exotic antelope frolicking about right outside the window and a super friendly and helpful caretaker who will offer to take you on a tour of the ranch to see all the different animals, to the owner whom came to meet us and make sure our stay was perfect, not to mention you are right inside the dark sky map so the night sky was amazing! I can't say enough good things about our stay, thank you Marty and Clause!

Visit was great and just what we wanted. The animals kept close to the house the first 2 days and my kids loved the zebra. Fishing was good but be sure to bring strongnline as we had a number of potential catches breakbthe line due to their size. The main gate gave a little trouble opening on exit but just had to move the car around a bit. Likely due to recent stroms. Would visit again

Big Fish in a stocked pond

Requirements for the best men's weekend ever: - Big TV with Stars Playoff Hockey - Beds for 4 guys (7 if you are willing to double up kn each bed - Monster Bass and Catfish in a stockee pond with an automatic feeder...They are big, you are going to need to bring a net to haul them in. - 3 binoculars provided to watch all the live game + a ZEBRA! - Firewood for huge fires + cooking grate that swings over the fire to sizzle some steaks. - Big Fridge that holds 4 cases of beer - Nice Pool Table upstairs - 5 burner propane grill - Plenty of games We had an amazing time. I caught a 20lb catfish and tossed it back in, so you can try and catch it! Took 8 minutes to bring it in! It was a highlight reel weekend of 20+ fish caught. 8 of them over 2lbs. Book with confidence.

Beautiful Escape to a Serene Location

This was a beautiful property that we had the opportunity to stay at during the 2024 Solar Eclipse. Everything went very smoothly from booking to check in, to having the items we needed to grill on the firepit. Martin was very responsive and accommodating. The cabin was very clean and well appointed. The ranch boss was even kind enough to show us around the back acreage of the property and we even caught a good amount of fish during our stay! Would highly recommend A+++

Great trip away from DFW

Family had a great time in the outdoors, being close to farm animals and wildlife, seeing the stars at night, and catching lots of fish. Wonderful cabin and amenities. Second time visiting here and would visit again.

Rejuvenation and Tranquility

We loved this property so much!!! The cabin was perfectly laid out for our family. The pond and orientation with the house and firepit was dreamy!! Every one of us loved that we could enjoy the animals. We forgot to pack our binoculars and were so excited to find that there were some there to enjoy. The attention to detail and overall experience was something we treasured. Lots of memories were made and we are already planning a return trip <3

Beautiful house..... but thats it

The house is absolutely beautiful but when we arrived it looked as is no one near been there in a very long time. Spider webs every where (inside and out). Dirt dobber and wasps nests everywhere. The house was super hot. There was molded food left in the oven from the previous renters (i assume). The hot tub was filthy and even had dirt dobber nests inside of it. We left the house cleaner than when we arrived. For as much a this place cost us for the weekend and for the cleaning fee we are charged i would have expected the house to be cooled off and at least dusted for the webs and the hot tub to be clean before or arrival. Was just very disappointed in the upkeep and state of the house for arriving guests.

A great retreat!

My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway for a long weekend. This cabin was the perfect place! It was probably the quietest place we’ve stayed. We really enjoyed the tour of the property with the land manager and got a great look at the animals. Fun fishing in the pond (bass and catfish) and lots of great bird watching, too. It was nice to be in the country, but also have Sulphur Springs close by with a cute downtown and anything you might need.
