Spacious, bright and very accessible cottage, in the center of the Hesdin countryside, all trade village (bakeries 1 minute walk, supermarket open on Sunday morning, ...) Classified 3 ears Gîtes de France, and 4 star in the national ranking, 10 minutes the walled city of Montreuil sur mer (elected second at the favorite village of the French 2016), 10 minutes from Hesdin, and 20 minutes from the beaches of Le Touquet / Berck, 30 minutes from the bay of sum, 45 minutes from the site of the two caps. Many activities around.

A great Gite and a great base to explore the area. Very friendly welcome from Thibaut who gave us lots of ideas for trips out, especially L’Estaminet L’Andouiller which was tremendous. The home made jam and eggs was a lovely touch and much appreciated and the chickens and pony were good fun. Highly recommended.

An excellent week’s break

This is a lovely place to relax with useful local (walkable) shops and well placed for trips out to the coast and villages. Immaculately presented, comfortably furnished, plenty of space and a very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed plenty of eggs from the owner’s hens and some delicious home-made jam! Remember to book linens and towels if you need them and, despite the confusing information on VRBO, there is definitely free Wi-fi readily available. Highly recommended 🙂

Excellent Gîte in a good area.

The gîte was perfect for us with lots of room. What was particularly appreciated was that it was warm and cosy, despite the unexpectedly cold weather for late November. As another reviewer mentioned the wifi connection is 'dated' but for general email, Google searching, social media and news it's fine. The enclosed garden is perfect for an accompanying dog. Good restaurant and well stocked supermarket just 10 minutes walk away. Highly recommended.

Ideal location in small village, 30 minutes from le Touquet.

The gite was spacious and clean, the owner who lived next door spoke good English and was pleasant and helpful. The only downside was the lack of a smart TV and Dated wi-fi that dropped out. This led to limited evening entertainment. Otherwise great.

Ideal location and high quality accommodation

Property is a modern barn conversion, nicely done and the house is well equipped and has a private, enclosed back garden. Well-stocked with kitchen appliances and crockery/cutlery. Only down-marked online description as I failed to note bed linen and towels not included (it is stated but I missed it!) so we had to hire. Thibaut (the owner) was very helpful and ran through how to operate the various pieces of equipment and recommended places to go, etc. There is also an on-site pony who loves carrots. Highly recommended property and will go back.

Family holiday

We had a lovely break, nice and relaxing, unfortunately the weather for the duration of our trip was awful ! Not that we can do a thing about it ! The gite was just right for us, the only issues we had was the wifi wasn’t great, highlighted by the poor weather meant it was under more strain ! And there was very few English tv channels, plenty of German or French, again this was only really noticed as the weather meant less time out and about. The area is fairly rich in history with some great places to visit, and the nausicaa aquarium isn’t far away and is a must see !

Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal in diesem Ferienhaus zu Gast und waren wieder begeistert. Das Ferienhaus ist großzügig bemessen mit 2 Bädern und die Ausstattung enthält alles, was man brauchen könnte. Die Gastgeber waren freundlich und hilfsbereit, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Das Auto konnten wir direkt vor der Tür auf dem großzügigen Grundstück parken. Darüber hinaus gab es glückliche Hühner und ein niedliches Pony.

Das Ferienhaus, eine umgebaute Scheune, ist sehr groß und hat eine schöne Aufteilung und große Fenster. Die Inneneirichtung könnte gemütlicher und wohnlicher sein. Das Doppelbett im Hauptschlafzimmer ist mit 140 cm sehr eng, wenn man zu Hause an ein 180 cm breites Bett gewöhnt ist. In der Küche ist so ziemlich alles da, was man zum Kochen braucht. Der Garten ist mit einer Mauer und einem Holzzaun komplett umzäunt und war für unsere beiden Hunde super zum Spielen und Toben. Die Hühner und das kleine Ponny direkt nebenan, waren für ein bißchen Salat und trockenes Brot oder eine Möhre immer zu haben, so süß...Das Parken war direkt am Haus möglich. Der Bäcker in 100 m Entfernung macht super Baguettes, ganz ganz lecker...Um ans Meer zu fahren, muss man schon 20 bis 25 Minuten einplanen. Die Besitzer des Ferienhauses sind freundlich und sehr zurückhaltend. Alles in allem hatten wir eine schöne Woche mit viel Sonnenschein. Die Unterkunft können wir empfehlen..

Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen. Das Haus ist perfekt eingerichtet und unsere Enkelkinder (22 Monate und 5 Jahre) hatten viel Spaß. Es gab viele Spiele und natürlich die Hühner, das Pony und die Katzen.Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und haben uns mit Eiern, Marmelade und Zucchini verwöhnt.Wir würden das Haus wieder buchen.

Die Beschreibung des Hauses ist super.Der Empfang durch den Vermieter war sehr freundlich und die Kommunikation kann auch in Englisch erfolgen.Alles ist zu Fuss sehr gut zu erreichen - Bäcker, Carrefour Compact, ...Wie in Frankreich üblich haben Bäcker und Geschäfte auch Sonntags (Carrefour 09:00 - 13:00) geöffnet.Die Strecke zum Meer ist problemlos mit dem Auto zu bewältigen.

Schöne Unterkunft mit Hund

Wir hatten eine schöne und entspannte Zeit über Weihnachten und Silvester. Das Haus ist sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet und die Vermieter freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank für die Bereitstellung des Raclettegrills!Ein Bäcker (sehr leckeres Baguette) und ein Supermarkt sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Es gibt viele Wanderwege zu entdecken und der Weg ans Meer ist nicht weit.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein perfekter Urlaub

Wir hatten einen netten Empfang, bekamen alles erklärt und auch gute Ausflugstips. Wir fühlten uns von Anfang an sehr wohl. Das Haus ist sehr schön und der kleine Garten ein besonderes Highlight. Wir haben uns auch über die glücklichen Hühner und das hübsche Pony gefreut. Im Haus war alles sehr sauber und das Grundstück gepflegt. Die Gegend ist wunderschön und abwechslungsreich. Vielen Dank für die netten Geschenke, die Konfitüre, die Eier und die Kürbisse. Wir möchten unbedingt wiederkommen.
