Open French doors from a bedroom decorated in passionate fuchsia and step onto a balcony overlooking Villa Colibri MX's infamous Orchid tree. This fully detached two-storey guesthouse boasts handmade art and vintage collectibles which give each room a distinct local flavor. Dip into a saltwater pool, relish the courtyard gardens or relax at the bar overlooking the Bay. Housekeeping included. Breakfast, lunch &/or dinner available for an extra cost.

Colibrí MX (Spanish for hummingbird) is a 7,500 sf Villa divided into 4 apartments each with a living, dining and kitchen area. Contact us for details on how to rent the entire Villa or any number of the other apartments from VRBO.

Our staff speaks both English and Spanish and works Monday through Saturday (excluding national holidays).

THE VILLA
Villa Colibri is a luxurious six bedroom retreat within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shopping the Gay Village and the iconic Los Muertos beach. This 7,500 square foot staffed Villa is divided into four sophisticated apartments each with their own kitchen, living and dining area. This unique design offers up to 12 guests that extra bit of privacy for that perfect getaway within a getaway.

Lush tropical gardens throughout the Villa provide the ideal surrounding to view the dozens of hummingbirds which visit daily. It’s only fitting that each residence has been named after these magical creatures. A mix of private and shared terraces offer spectacular views of the Town, Banderas Bay, Sierra Madre Mountains and the majestic Crown of Our Lady Guadalupe. A heated rooftop salt water pool, lounge areas and bar provide the perfect day or night setting for rest and relaxation. With an emphasis on outdoor living, the inner courtyard is just one of many areas where groups can gather for business and/or pleasure. Whether it be for a wedding, or a romantic dinner for two Colibri has you covered. Colibri is uniquely suited to host large and small gatherings such as weddings, reunions, birthdays and corporate and not-for-profit events.

What an awesome spot to stay, a short walk to the coolest part of PV!Zach and Justin have the great taste and its shows in every detail with these beautiful condos. The walk up is not for the faint of heart but the rewards at the top of the hill, the condo itself, the roof top pool and the out door rooftop bar areas are all well worth the trek!!!!We will be back and we will tell all our Canadians friends, this is the spot to stay in PV!

My family and I just stayed at Villa Colibri and were very pleased with our stay. The guesthouse was very clean and well decorated. The whole place was really pretty and unique. The views from the roof were mesmerizing. It's a little bit of a hike up a steep hill from town, but we liked that. It felt very close to town/the beach, but was also very private and comfortable. Abe, the caretaker, made us feel welcome and was available to assist us with whatever we needed. Darrin and Reg were also very responsive. Would definitely recommend this property!

This place is magical!!! What a great days we spend in the patios ! Having coffee… just enjoying the beautiful weather and once in while a colibrí dancing around the flowers !! The view!!! The Pool ! The Mexican decoration is just stoning!! So colorful!! We just had the best time ! Our Ubers normally drove until the corner of Aguacate and Francisca Rodríguez and we had short walk to the top of the hill .. yes, a lot of steps but totally worth the good views from the top. We recommend watching the sunset on the top deck !! We totally recommend this place !

Absolutely gorgeous & clean! Great experience!

My sister-in-law and I stayed 2 nights and wished we booked a longer stay. I very much appreciated the classy mexican decor. The care and attention to make such a nice suite was very evident. Our communication with the hosts (Zach & Justin) and the manager were excellent and timely. They allowed us stay in the pool area after check-out while we were waiting for check-in time at our next accommodation. We even met the neighbours and shared a lovely evening chatting (and dancing) despite our language barrier. The location is close enough to the romantica village area for walking, yet far enough away that you are not directly in the hustle and bustle. The location is a uphill from town, but not strenuous for walking if you don't have any mobility issues. If taking a taxi or uber, I recommend asking them to to drop you at the end of the drive unless they are familiar with the area. I highly recommend a stay and will definitely book again.

There are 4 or 5 apartments surrounding a shady courtyard. Our apartment was beautifully furnished and well stocked. There was always someone on site in case we needed anything.

We've been together for 6 years and Vallarta has long been our favorite beach town. Although Washington, DC is our primary home in the spring, we have chosen beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico as our tropical home away from home.

Why they chose this property

Villa Colibrí MX won us over the minute we entered the front gate. Lush tropical gardens greeted us and as we made our way to the inner courtyard we knew in an instant that we wanted to share this charming Villa with the world.

The original design of the main house allowed us to create four sophisticated Hacienda-styled residences each with their own living/dining and kitchen areas. Six bedrooms in all, with two on the ground level, one on the second level and one on the upper level. An additional two bedrooms can be found in the detached Casita (cottage). Above the large orchid tree of the inner courtyard floats a bridge that links the two rooftop entertaining spaces which include the sunken pool, bar and spectacular views.

With Villa Colibrí MX, we think that we’ve captured much of what Mexico means to us. And now, we wish to share it with you and make your stay at our Villa your most memorable ever in Vallarta.

And then you too may choose Puerto Vallarta as your future home.
