The cottage was completely renovated in 2016 in an old farmhouse located in an old hamlet responding to the sweet name Occitan: Souleilla de la Nine.
The renovation was done in accordance with traditional methods and with environmentally friendly materials. This former farm of the 19th century had many timbered part of which has been restored.

Among the various activities on site or around the cottage, you can enjoy the pool with its beautiful view of the Pyrenees and the countryside, the garden with its fig trees and plum trees, as well as the kitchen garden.

The estate is located in the region of Volvestre, on the Pyrenees road in Occitania, south of the Haute Garonne, a few kilometers from the Natural Park of Ariège Pyrenees offering many tourist and cultural activities.
Nearby, there are sports or recreational activities for large and small bowling, rope park, bungee jumping, fishing, prehistoric cave, Gallic village, astronomy ...
In winter it is possible to make a getaway in the day to the nearest ski resorts: Le Mourtis, superbagnères, Peyragudes.

The cottage is located in Canens, a small village of less than 60 inhabitants, 45 km south of Toulouse, 15 minutes from the A64 motorway, so quiet with no noise other than those in the countryside.
With its calm, the environment is conducive to rest and relaxation. The beautiful evenings allow the observation of the starry sky. The area, 340 meters above sea level, overlooks all around the surrounding nature and a few old farmhouses scattered here and there. You have a splendid panoramic view of the hills cultivated fields and multicolored background south 180 ° on the Pyrenees.

The beautiful scenery and the unique character of the region Volvestre, very hilly, composed of all villages (Canens, Bax, Latrape, Lapeyrere, Castagnac) probably explains why so many artists live there. Their works can be seen during the visit of the famous artists 'village, Le Carla-Bayle (named after the philosopher Pierre Bayle who lived in this city in the 17th century), where many artists' studios are located.
