What a wonderful weekend we had. John was so friendly and helpful. The cottage was adorable, clean and perfect. We didn’t want to leave. We recommend this sweet mermaid cottage to anyone traveling. The view was beautiful and location to Beaufort restaurants and shopping was so fabulous. We will be back again.

Great place, great views, very comfortable. My very minor complaint is that the keyless entry box could be a little brighter to allow guests to be able to read the numbers easier. Again, a very minoir complaint. I'd definitely stat there again, and would recommend the place to friends and family.

The views from this carriage house are spectacular. We watched beautiful sunsets and colorful sunsets. We also saw the most beautiful full moon!

This was the greatest place we have ever stayed at since we’ve been dealing with VRBO! There isn’t enough space to state all the plus’s because there are no negatives! This was the cleanest and furnished to the “T”! The owners were friendly and cooperative and we couldn’t ask for anything better!Thanks John for all you did to make our stay the best we’ve ever had! Wonderful getaway by the water. So peaceful and the Spanish Moss Trail just across the street. Made use of the dock, kayak, and bike. The host was very helpful and the cottage so comfortable, private, and clean. A hidden gem, I will definitely stay here again!

Little Getaway

This was such a beautiful location for a few nights away. You couldn’t beat the sunsets from the balcony or dock. Loved biking on the Spanish Moss Trail. This place is truly a gem. It’s not as “private” as it may seem in the pictures. This is someone’s residency. We never personally saw the owners, but they were home. So we just felt like we were always being “watched” and couldn’t enjoy some of the things in the description of the property. Just wanted to let others know this is a cottage above a garage, at someone’s residency. It’s beautiful and quiet nonetheless and such a sweet little place to getaway too. Beaufort is such a sweet, beautiful town!

Amazing weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay. The property was clean, quiet & beautiful. We really enjoyed the proximity to Downtown Beaufort and the pass to Hunting Island State Park Beach. We would absolutely book here again!

First time in SC

Location of property is peaceful with gorgeous views of the water. My husband and I felt very comfortable staying there. The Hunting Island State Park pass was a nice surprise. Thank you!

Wow! What can I say about this place!? It’s absolutely beautiful! I needed peace and relaxation and I got it. The view out the back porch is breathtaking. I have a convertible and they even have a gorgeous carport I could pull my car out of the weather. They had bikes and kayaks which I didn’t get to use this trip but I’m planning on going back hopefully in the near future. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of staying at The Mermaid Cottage.

Delightful

The stay at Mermaid Cottage was impeccable from start to finish. Pictures and description are an accurate depiction of the space. It truly is magical. The accommodations are comfortable and well apointed. I plan to stay here again on my next visit!

Are new favorite place in the south

We love Beaufort and love this place this is our second time, and we will be back again next year. It's close to town and the Spanish Trails and we enjoy the bikes they provide to get around.

Peaceful retreat

Well appointed home/apartment. Beautiful view from deck looking out to the Beaufort river, with old live oaks draped in Spanish moss. Comfortable bed, great walk in shower. Quiet, away from traffic and no noise.

Sea Islands Get Away

Wonderful long weekend in Beaufort, cottage is in the perfect spot to enjoy downtown and the surrounding sea islands. Cottage super clean and has one of everything you need. Quiet and private, sunset views and dock access make it an extra special place to stay.

Mermaids on Battery Creek

Unit was very nice. The furnishings were well appointed. Although we didn’t cook, the kitchen was well stocked. The bed was softer than we like but that’s just a personal preference. Enjoyed a visit from the neighbor’s cat. It was also nice to be able to have the Spanish Moss Trail right across from the unit for a daily walk.
