Nice stay in quiet village

This is an old half timbered house, so cute! The two bedrooms are upstairs, with a toilet, and downstairs is the main bathroom with a shower, and a washing machine, and living room, dining/kitchen. The owner lives next door, so it's very easy to contact them, although we had no issues. There are many castle ruins to explore close by, and driving anywhere, you are driving through vineyards and small Alsatian villages with their half timbered houses and blue shutters. Down the street is a road we walked down every afternoon, with a soccer field and horses, gardens, etc. Rose bushes were everywhere.

Rather Basic Accommodation in a Very Rural Setting

We had a truly great week in Northern Alsace but were surprised to find that there was no hand-washing facility in the upstairs "bathroom" which consisted only of a toilet. There was in addition a shortage of toilet paper, soap, and washing-up liquid which meant that we needed to provide our own. The house is very attractive, with spacious rooms, particularly the kitchen. However, this was let done by the fact that, of the five mugs provided, three were either cracked or chipped. The setting is a village with no shops, in particular no boulangerie, all of which were a five-minute drive away. There is an excellent restaurant, "Les Cordons Bleus", with welcoming proprietors and lovely food (though closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) just a few minutes walk away and the village itself is most picturesque.

Wunderbar für Urlaub mit Hund

Es ist ein sehr schönes und geräumiges Haus, wo auch Platz für einen größeren Hund ist. Die Einrichtung ist schön und gemütlich, Sofa und Sessel sind sehr bequem, es ist sehr sauber und bei Fragen unkomplizierte Kommunikation (gleich auf dem Hof) auf deutsch. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Je tenais à vous faire part de notre séjour dans votre gîte qui a été vraiment agréable. Je voulais partager avec vous et vos futurs visiteurs tous les bons moments que nous avons vécus. Tout d'abord, le gîte était impeccable. Hyperpropre (6 étoiles), bien équipé et décoré avec goût, il offrait un cadre chaleureux, familial et confortable. La nature environnante était tout simplement magnifique. Les paysages verdoyants de l'Alsace et les montagnes majestueuses des Vosges, nous ont permis de nous ressourcer et de nous sentir en harmonie avec la nature. Les propriétaires du gîte sont extrêmement accueillants et serviables. Ils nous ont donné de précieux conseils sur les endroits à visiter. Ce séjour en gîte a été une expérience enrichissante et reposante. Nous sommes rentrés chez nous avec des souvenirs merveilleux et des émotions positives. Je recommande vivement ce gîte à tous ceux qui souhaitent se ressourcer en pleine nature, découvrir de nouveaux horizons et rencontrer des personnes formidables.
