We were looking for a place to stay while in NH for the NHRA races at epping. This place definitely fit the bill and then some. Great place, great hosts. Would definitely recommend!
We had a great stay at Keith's lake house. The house was wonderful and we enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the water. It was a perfect weekend getaway and Keith went out of his way to accommodate us last minute. Would certainly stay here again and hope to be able to!
Beautiful setting on a quiet lake with loons and herons. We loved the deck overlooking the lake, and the kayaks and canoe provided (be sure to bring your own life vests)! The water was lovely and warm during our end-of-June stay.
Beautiful little cabin in a peaceful spot in nature. Lake was gorgeous Ben with it being down so low due to reconstruction of the dam. Great place to relax, take walks, and unwind. I’d love to return when the lake is back to normal level. Host was so kind and communicative. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you!
We loved staying here at Keith’s lake house! The peaceful views, loon watching, canoe rides, swimming, cooking and relaxing were perfect!
Great kitchen and lovely accommodations. Check in was smooth and communication with Keith was excellent!
Great host!
Can’t wait to come back!
The cottage on Mendums Pond is a delightful, wonderfully furnished extended A-frame situated on a quiet road, overlooking a beautiful pond and natural view. Very quiet and peaceful, yet within 5 minutes of sites, shops, and conveniences. Everything you need is within the home, including AC and TV. The owner kept in touch and was very helpful with questions. The place was very clean and neat, and there were games and puzzles available. We loved our time here and will return in the future.
The lake house was just as described and perfect for our needs. It was clean and everything worked. We enjoyed staying there. The lake was wonderful to play in for the kids and we all enjoyed kayaking up and down the lake and around the islands. Our host was attentive to our questions and responsive. We wished we had stayed a little longer!
The cabin is a perfect little spot on a beautiful oligo pond great for swimming, fishing and kayaking! The property is well kept and the kayaks were a wonderful treat enjoyed by our entire family. We were treated by hummingbird visits each day. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We had a wonderful time exploring the pond and surrounding towns.
My husband and his friend went on a two day fishing trip and this place did not disappoint! From the ease of communication with the owner, simple check in and check out procedures, a few trophy catches, and a comfortable layout made this the best fishing trip my husband has been on yet. Looking forward to bringing our entire family next time! Thank you Keith!
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy A-frame. It is clean and uncluttered, with a typical lake-house ambience. For a family of five, it was a manageable size. It was also very quiet.
It is worth mentioning that there is no true door to the bathroom. Parking is understandably limited, but 3 cars can be squeezed in without blocking the access road.

Thank you so much Sarah. So glad you enjoyed your stay! Appreciate the feedback. Wanted to mention that the folding bathroom door has now been replaced with a solid wood door. :-).
Cheers,
Keith
Overall the property is very much like the listing. The water is beautiful, and made for great swimming and relaxing. We picked some wild blueberries and made blueberry pancakes in the well equipped kitchen. We had some issues getting the kayaks unlocked but the host was very responsive and gave us a few options. The cabin was probably a little more on the rustic side than I am used to but, my boyfriend had no complaints. I did not realize that the kitchen and bathroom were both carpeted which took me a bit to get used to but otherwise it was a great stay and we had a lovely relaxing weekend! Definitely stop at Calefs country store for pickles!
The location was absolutely beautiful, you are right on top of the water with a beautiful sunset view. Definitely a cabin by the lake feel and design. Massive porch looking over the water. It’s great that kayaks and canoes are provided to explore the pond. Keith communicated great and responded very quickly to any questions. The only access to upstairs is a spiral staircase so it may be difficult for some people to access. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back again. Some minor issues: the porch and outdoor furniture were absolutely covered in needles that looked like they had been there for a while. The door for the bathroom was odd and should be updated to a regular door. The porch furniture was pretty uncomfortable and made staying outside less enjoyable.

Thank you for the feedback Christian. Apologies for your concerns. We had some weather before your arrival that may likely have contributed to the pine needles. I will drop you an e-mail for more specifics on the sliding bathroom door and which particular chairs you felt were uncomfortable. We will address each. Thank you for staying with us.
The pictures were mostly accurate but do show much more light in the living room than we had; I believe the trees have grown a lot since the pictures were taken.
We loved sitting on the deck and at the beach. We were not able to borrow life jackets and so did not try the kayaks. However, it was clear before we made reservations that we would have to provide our own life jackets.
We did not see the birds that are mentioned in the write up. In fact, we were surprised at how few birds we saw at the lake or walking around outside. Perhaps it was just our particular week. We did not try the window air conditioner units. Note that you need a smart phone to use the 2nd floor A/C unit. I don't know about the first floor. The Wi-Fi was good. Lots of kitchen equipment as well as a Weber grill outside.

Thanks Nathan, Glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry the weather was not better. Please note that both ACs are operable via the front control panels. We will update this portion of the Welcome Guide. Thanks again!
Beautiful property and location!! Stairs down from the deck are a bit steep but we were ready for that. Great little beach and Keith very communicative.
I am a widowed older woman who rented the place alone but family living in area visited and just one stayed over night sharing a twin bedroom with me.There are multiple beds but my family didn’t like using the winding staircase and lack of bath upstairs so didn’t stay over. Didn’t matter, I and they loved the big open nice kitchen/ living room area and especially the large open porch facing lake, loons and quiet boating. I lived on the porch, swam almost everyday on lake and loved sitting for sunset. I ate every meal there except when raining. Some mornings the lake was covered with fog and beautiful as it burned off. My only negative was steep stairs to beach but they were good exercise for me. It was the first time I had ever heard loons which made me very happy and one morning a loon dried itself off on the float just off in the lake…a treat…. as was my whole stay. I stayed a month and hope to come back.
Keith has an absolutely wonderful property. The lake house is very charming and has everything you need right there. We literally spent our whole weekend lake side and only left to restock at Hannafords and market basket (both within 15 mins away).
If your are looking for a lake side retreat this is 100% it. There is a floating dock you can swim to as well as kayaks and canoes to use if you desire. We took the canoe out one night to watch the sunset on the lake and it was beautiful. We were two couples and two kids and we all had enough space. We grilled every day and had fantastic weather! There are a few activities in the house such as games, puzzles and books for a rainy day.
Keith is a very accommodating and responsive host. The check in/check out process was extremely easy. We would absolutely stay again at this lovely property!! 10/10 would recommend :)
