Located 3 km from the Village of Montcuq, the old school is a typical stone house, with a friendly layout.
The shaded terrace, ideal for late-night barbecues, offers a magnificent view of the valley. The garden and the pool facing south allow you to enjoy the beautiful summer days. At disposal: ping-pong table, badminton, petanque balls, darts. For walkers, beautiful walks on the road to Compostela.

A big bright stay and an opened kitchen, with all the material comfort of use, give directly on the terraces.
4 bright and spacious bedrooms, a large bathroom and a separate toilet are located upstairs. A playroom for children is also available on the ground floor as well as a shower room and WC.

Family and friends vacation

We stayed with 10 people (including 4 children) in the house. We had a lot of fun at the pool and had a good time on the terras with the nice view. The house is old and needs some renovations, but the rooms are very big and there is a lot of space for everyone. The area is very calm and there is lots of activities in the area.

Great house in a beautiful location. 6 of us stayed for 1 week. We loved the pool and having bbq's over looking the valley. Montcuq is a charming town with a lovely market on Sundays. Gilles and Sylvie were great hosts. The only constructive suggestion would be that the house eould benefot from a toilet in the large upstairs bathroom, as if more than 6 stay you would need this i think. Thanks again!

Beautiful Montcuq

Visiting the area my fiancé spent her childhood summers and the house is a 4min drive from the town center with beautiful views across the valley and wooded areas. Nice and peaceful but still local to the town and amenities. Pool and outdoor areas are perfect for lazy days and evenings and the house (old school) is quirky, rustic and lovely with all that you could need. Host was excellent with information required and directions to find the house. Thank you for letting us stay

Aucun état des lieux à l'arrivée ni au départ. Salles de bains vieilles et mal entretenues.Trou dans le mur de douche générant des infiltrations que nous avons eu l'honnêteté de signaler et que le propriétaire nous a facturé 250 euros. Aucune intimité dans les chambres (cloisons fines et mal jointées). Annonce mensongère, maison non adaptée pour 10 personnes.

Fijn familie huis in Frankrijk

Erg mooie plek om te genieten van een fantastisch uitzicht. Op het door een oude eik beschaduwde terras is het fijn toeven,óók bij erg warm weer. Mooi en ruim zwembad met goede ligbedjes (4). 3 andere ligbedjes zijn van kunststof met diverse beschadigingen .3 Parasols waarvan de voet van de grootste niet goed is afgewerkt zoals zou moeten ( met 4 grote zware tegels). Dus eigenlijk onbruikbaar. Het is allemaal typisch Frans maar we hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad.

Fijne ontspannenvakantieplek

Het is een erg fijn huis. Het zwembad is netjes en de zithoek boven bij de BBQ is schaduwrijk en prettig vertoeven op het heetst van de dag! De keuken is toereikend en de hekken zijn erg fijn met kleine kinderen. In augustus is het wel erg warm op de bovenverdieping en het huis is wat gehorig, maar dit mocht bij ons de pret niet drukken. Het huis zit op wandelafstand (5km) naar Montquc en dit is een leuke gevarieerde wandeling, van bos tot zonnebloemvelden. Wat ons betreft is het huis een aanrader!

Thank you Tristan for your remarks. We realized some improuvments for 2023. We had carpet on the first floor in all the rooms. We change all the chairs and armchairs of the pool. And bought two very large beach umbrella to get shade around the pool . And finally a new lady will look after the vacationers- She will be available any time amd she is leaving two km from la Vieille ecole .

Leuke locatie met fijn zwembad

Prima week gehad, maar netheid liet wel te wensen over met name de keuken.. De foto’s zijnmooier dan de werkelijkheid. Ligbedden en parasol mogen wel vernieuwd worden.

For 2023 we bought two very large new beach umbrella for the pool to get more shade. Following your remarks we also bought 6 new armchairs for the pools and we had a table in the pool aera . It should be now perfect for a very nice stay. A new lady will be in charge of the house , she is leaving 2 KM from la Vieille ecole and she will be avalaible any time .

Très agréable séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille dans cette maison très agréable, avec une vue superbe. L’accueil de Severine était très bien et la communication avec Gilles, fluide. Les 3 différentes générations y ont trouvé leur compte.

prachtig , rustig, met mooi aangelegd zwembad.

Zowel op het terras met BQ als vanop zwembadniveau een prachtig uitzicht.'s Avonds reeën en everzwijnen gespot. Door de hoge temperaturen was het zwembad wel meer dan welkom. Montcuq is een gezellig stadje .Naar Cahors met de piratenboot op de Lot gaan varen was voor de groot en klein een mooie uitstap.

Heerlijk huis met prachtig uitzicht!

Prachtig groot en mooi huis, (gerenoveerde oude school) met groot zwembad met fantastisch uitzicht op de omgeving. Het dorpje Montcuq is een schattig oud dorpje met meerdere restaurantjes en terrasjes. Het huis heeft een fijne keuken. Het zwembad is groot met fijne verlichting zodat je ook in de avond kunt zwemmen. Goede ligstoelen aanwezig. ‘s Avonds zijn reeën te zien in de weitjes achter het huis en hoor je soms een uil. De omgeving is mooi en rustig. Interessante bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving ( stadjes, grotten met prehistorische tekeningen)

Heerlijk ruim vrij gelegen huis met uitzicht.

Mooi huis met ruime slaapkamers en een grote tuin in twee terrassen met heerlijk uitzicht. Vloeren in het huis zijn van hout dus wel wat gehorig. Groot zwembad met ligbedden. Afwerking van de rand van het zwembad nog niet helemaal af maar wel prima in te zwemmen. Goed contact met eigenaar en degene die het huis onderhoudt.

Calme et reposant

Belle maison pittoresque, superbe vue et piscine très agréable. La maison est de plus bien équipée (le Wifi est néanmoins assez faible). Seul point négatif: il n'y a aucune isolation entre les différentes pièces (uniquement des cloisons en bois pour les murs, ou du parquet posé directement sur les poutres pour les sols) , on entend donc tout ce qui se passe à l'intérieur de la maison. La région est par ailleurs superbe, il y a aussi plusieurs petites ballades très sympa à faire autour de la maison.
