Clean, beautiful home
Great stay! Beautiful and clean home! My three boys had a blast fishing from the dock and swimming in the lake. The “Swimming beach” is small, but my kids loved it. Great, easy, hikes around the lake!! Favorite part was the view from the living room every morning :)
Wonderful Place to Stay
Very nice condo, clean, super comfortable and well decorated. The lake and mountains views from the main area and balcony are so beautiful. The site is great - short walk to marina, lake, golf and restaurants and a 5 min. drive to the grocery store. Our kids loved the bunk beds. The owner was very welcoming and gave us some great tips. Overall, it was the perfect place to stay for our family.
Rudy's place was great for family of 6. The kids really enjoyed the bunk bed room with all of the stuffed animals. We were there early in the summer season and the area was really quiet. Thank you for having the tennis rackets and balls, the kids hit the courts a couple of times and gave my wife and I break from their energy. I would recommend for anyone with kids.
In summer, walk over to our beautiful 18 hole golf course, play at our 6 clay court Tennis Center (we have 4 racquets and balls to use) or stroll down to the beach for a swim, tan, lunch or boat ride at the marina. Great hiking trails are nearby too with the Jack Rabbit Trail and Haystack and McKenzie being 3500 foot peaks. Shop in the many factory outlets in town (5 minutes), tour the many Olympic sites or dine at Lake Placid's many great restaurants. Ride the chair lift at Whiteface Mountain, peer down from the 70/90 meter Intervale ski jumps or take a bobsled ride at Mt Van Hoevenburg. (yes, even in summer). You can also eat lunch at the ADK Cafe or lunch/dinner down by the water's edge at the Moose Lodge Boathouse restaurant. The spectacular Lake Placid Lodge is a 5 minute walk over with Maggies Pub a gorgeous place to eat.
In winter, cross country ski or snowshoe from our condo, the famous Jack Rabbit Trail runs through and by our Nordic center, plus Whiteface Mountain is only 20 minutes away. Ice skate at the oval where Eric Heiden won 7 gold medals, visit the Miracle-on-Ice Olympic Center, take a sleigh, tobaggan or dog sled ride across Mirror Lake!
