Wonderful getaway. Quiet and relaxing with access to everything

This was our 2nd year staying here and we loved it yet again. The property itself is fantastic with everything we need for a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation. Plenty close to the playgrounds, restaurants and stores, but with lots of privacy and quiet time. It is great and we are happy to make this a recurring family vacation spot

Relaxing getaway in beautiful location

This property is located in a great place and we are able to make the most of our time in the 1000 Islands. We bring a kayak, rent a boat, and go to the playgrounds and everything is so easy. We love this location and Taina is always very responsive and thoughtful.

Perfect Vacation Spot

We had an amazing vacation at the perfect home! The home is located right on the water and the scenery is perfect. The fishing was amazing! It was very simple to rent a boat. The house is very clean and is stocked with everything you need. We had a perfect vacation!

Beautiful home with AMAZING views of the sunsets.

This home was perfect for our small group. The house was clean, , updated, and provided everything we needed to enjoy our week long stay. The house is tucked back in a quiet cove on the St Lawrence river, which was perfect, as we had two younger children who loved jumping off the dock and swimming close by. The large deck provided AMAZING views of the sun setting, absolutely gorgeous! We would definitely stay here again.

Week in the islands

This is our third year staying at The Olsen’s home on Lake of The Isles. It’s perfect for us. Great dock to fish from or tie your boat ! Watch the wildlife from the rear deck , have a cookout , or just relax ! It was so quiet this whole week. Lots of boating time and dinners in A-Bay and Clayton

Perfect

We absolutely love staying in this beautiful house. It has everything you need. The scenery is beautiful with a deck right on the water. We rented a pontoon and did a lot of fishing. Went to Clayton for some river rat cheese! Also took a side trip up to Alexandria Bay for t shirts and dinner. Perfect week!

Relaxing

We have been coming to Lake of The Isles for 36 yrs ! This is the first year we decided to rent a house instead of staying at the NYS park. Everything went very well , we rented a pontoon boat for the week . The house is well laid out , neighbors on both sides were quiet and friendly !

beautiful home in peaceful location was just what we needed

Our stay was the best part of 2020 for us and a much needed break from reality. It is a beautiful property in a great quiet location. There is plenty of privacy and also access to nearby parks and restaurants a few minutes away, and close to the town for groceries. I had very high expectations for this house and those were exceeded. The amenities were thoughtful and we had everything we needed. We were very comfortable here and thoroughly enjoyed our time. It was safe for our young son who likes to get into things and I loved bringing my kayak in every day for some exercise/quiet time

Beautiful property

The house is very well kept with great amenities. The decks, fire pit, dock, and view are perfect. The water is 2-3 feet deep off the dock but do not attempt to walk in it because the mud is very deep however the bay is perfect for relaxing on a tube.. We kept our boat at the dock for the week and it's about a 30 minute ride to Alex bay or Wellesley Island marina by water. Caught a couple nice size large mouth and a small pike off the dock. I highly recommend this property for a family stay.

Thank you for the nice reviews. I am happy you enjoyed the stay and that you were able to catch some fish! The water level this year has been exceptional low and lower than average. The planned scaling back outflows at the Moses-Saunders Power Dam did not happen in time and with very little precipitation many bay areas could see lower water levels. The water level at the dock is good enough for boats and we are having our 22 Ft pontoon boat there without any issues. I will also clarify that we have dredged around the dock just for that reason.

What a relaxing week!!

This rental had everything and more. Home was very clean and bright. Bedding very comfortable. Big french doors leading to large deck overlooking lower deck and dock. Plenty of amenities. Easy access to home. Owners were wonderful to deal with. Very prompt in replies. Thank you for letting us share your home. It was an extremely relaxing week!

Our home away from home

This was our second years stay . The same as last year , everything was perfect . Quiet , great weather , beautiful home on the water ! We have been coming to Lake of the Isles ( St Lawrence river ) for 36 yrs . Always stayed at the state park but last year decided to try VRBO This place is perfect ! We rent a pontoon boat and keep it right at the dock. The deck over looking the water is great. Lots of windows , beautiful hardwood floors , comfortable furniture and beds .. Wouldn’t change a thing … except maybe stay a few months

Delightful Stay

I cannot say enough how thrilled we were with this lovely home on Wellesley Island that sits up above the river with the best bi level decks, dock, chairs and views (both inside and out!) This home is so beautifully appointed. Taina has thought of everything to make it so welcoming and comfortable. There are so many unique detailsI. I was so happy with how well stocked ( stemware, glassware, pots, pans, baking dishes etc. etc.) the kitchen was with everything you would ever need! Taina was so responsive and helpful! My family and I are so very grateful that Taina and Jonas share their beautiful home! This place is so special just like the owners! We can't wait to come back!

September Anniversary on Wellesley Island

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Wellesley Island and couldn’t have asked for a more quiet, peaceful location. The home and property are beautiful and extremely well kept, and the Olson’s provided everything we needed for our visit. We enjoyed the lower dock and Tiki hut, cooked hotdogs over the fire, and relaxed on the upper deck after each day of fishing. We made a few short trips to Clayton, for breakfast, and Alexandria Bay, for a lunch and then anniversary dinner, but were always ready to return and enjoy our view from the deck. Many thanks to the Olson’s for sharing their home with us. We highly recommend a visit and would love to return some day.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

In elementary school (years back), Jonas studied about Thousand Islands and the year we moved to the Unites States, he immediately wanted to check out the area and it was an instant love. Now we both enjoy it, and so does our daughter who takes her daily runs on the quiet road, jumps into the lake and relaxes with a book.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We want to add a "Swedish touch" to the house so you will find books about Sweden, Swedish decorations and other items that reminds of Sweden. To dine outside, or just hang out in a comfy environment, that also is clean, is important for us.
