Located only 1.4 mile from Lake Murray State Park and Golf Course and within 20 minutes from Winstar World Casino and Championship Golf Course. The Landing is a compact cabin that sleeps 2 in a full size bed, includes luxurious linens, fresh-ground fair trade coffee, a variety of teas, champagne upon arrival. Relax in our gazebo or making s’mores in the fire pit. It’s a perfect location to enjoy all Southern Oklahoma has to offer. Furkids welcome with a $50 pet deposit!

Anniversary getaway

I did give 5 stars for all but there were a few concerns. We did not get code until after reaching out to Vrbo to get it while waiting at the location. The location had a good variety of amenities. There was a bottle of sparkling wine in fridge and some snacks and water. A very nice touch. We did not use the wine and would have preferred sparkling apple of grape juice. The snacks were great. There was an ice maker that we used and produced good amount of ice for our daily beverage needs. There was everything needed for cooking, even an airfryer. Could have used some airfryer liners. The bathroom did not accommodate my husband well because he is tall and the front of toilet is right up by the wall, but he did not complain. The bed was a tight squeeze getting in and out of but it was comfortable. The tv was a bit tricky to use, but we did not watch it much. The location was great, quick drive to lake. There is a mom and pops store nearby, about 5 min drive, that has great food and many items if needed. The banana pudding is yummy. The people who work there are great. Over-all a great weekend.

Amazing

The property was super nice and plenty of room for our truck and trailer. The owner was super helpful and even let us know there was a safe place to stay during the storms at the casino.

Great getaway Cabin

This is a nice little quaint cabin near Lake Murray State Park. The owners are very nice, quick to respond and accommodating. We had a few issues but they were quickly addressed. Make sure to read the ad for the cabin fully before booking. Thanks.

Not the Best stay-

The door code wasn't sent to me and we ended up staying at the Holiday Inn in Ardmore, the 1st night! Cabin smelled like a dead rat! Only enough towels for one day!

Cute place

Cabin was cute and clean. The bathroom in the cabin was small, but I read reviews beforehand and knew that going in. It was quiet, peaceful, and out of the way. Which is a good thing if you don’t enjoy being around a lot of people. The lake was only a short drive away and we had easy access. Would recommend to friends and/or book again.

Beautiful stay outdoors but small space inside!

The cabin is situated with great living space outdoors with a huge pergola with lots of cushioned seating spaces and a couple fire pits with chairs and even disc golf. Inside I missed when booking that it is a 1-room cabin not 1 bedroom and has a kitchenette more than a kitchen. It’s super convenient to Lake Murray and is fine if you’re microwaving pre-prepared food, making cold sandwiches or eating out but don’t bring food for cooking much! I’ll write about the kitchen more. Overall though the cabin is cute, clean, and the outdoor space is absolutely great, only 5-10min from lake Murray! Now on the kitchen - no oven or stovetop, there is a microwave and a flat griddle but the only microwave safe dishware was 2 coffee mugs (plates and bowls are cute decor and available but underside says they aren’t microwave safe). The kitchen sink is way too shallow for washing dishes (1.5inch deep); it’s adorable but no garbage disposal and I wouldn’t try to wash that griddle in the sink. The grill outside also was older so we really struggled to light it, and use it-my friend is a grilling master so I know I sound whiney but I’m really just making sure visitors are aware of the food prep situation before they arrive. We didn’t feel like it was clean enough to cook hamburgers on so we changed dinner plans. I think the kitchenette could have been better arranged considering the space, more like a camper kitchen but it is very cute decor-wise. Again cabin was cute & clean jst small

Great access to murray harbor

Great place to stay. We have a slip at Murray Harbor so it was very accessible for us to get to our boat to get on lake.

Adorable get away!

Close to the south side of Lake Murray and the new marina, this was a sweet little cabin with all the necessities. Would definitely be looking to stay again.

Overall, nice little cabin with things to know before you go.

The cabin was very clean and decorated nicely. Location is easy to find and near Lake Murray, and the roads are paved. The yard is clean, well-kept, and nicely decorated. The bed and bedding were great. Towels were also of high quality. Furniture, etc. was relatively new and not heavily worn. The bathroom is very small. So small that I truly believe some people won't fit in it. I'm 6 ft. 1 in., 182 lbs. and I had to sit sideways on the toilet due to the narrowness of the bathroom. I have multiple relatives and others in my life who probably couldn't use the bathroom under any circumstances because they simply wouldn't fit in it. Wi-fi isn't intermittent as advertised. Rather, it basically doesn't exist. Over 4 days we were never able to access it for more than a few seconds at a time. Only local channels on the TV. There's no kitchen table.

Nice cozy cabin for a weekend getaway. Great location!

The cabin was cute and cozy and had everything we needed. It was really close to Marietta Landing, and just around the corner (on the boat) to the new Murray Harbor. The Wi-Fi rarely worked and had spotty cell reception (ATT), but that’s pretty typical when you’re at the lake and In a wooded area. Just commenting this so others going know you may not have a great cell service. It was a great time, and we will be coming back!

Very Peaceful

Cabin was clean, nice, and the area is quiet and close to the lake. We stayed for five nights and will be going back next year for vacation again. Gazebo area, fire pit and it was just as described. We had a blast!! Thank you

We came in and there was a overall bad smell to our bedding and pillow shams it was bad the gazebo outside smelled moldy and my husband cleaned it so we can sit out there and enjoy it someway I thought for this big amount of money it would of been cleaner and nicer and also there were burnt out lights that were not changed

Cozy Cabin

I'll start with the good. It was a cozy cabin comfortable bed, sitting outside around the fire was nice and it was close to the lake which was nice. Now for the negatives and I say negatives in a way that I mean I won't be back there again for these reasons. Upon arriving the water pressure was very low almost nonexistent and during our time there the water pressure was never good shower water pressure was so low it was hard to get clean, the toilet wouldn't flush all the time and the filling of the tank was very slow overall the water pressure was way too low. The couch was dirty and didn't want to sit on it without a blanket covering it. The Wi-Fi never worked and can never get any of the smart TV functions to work. Outside would have been nicer, it looks like the place needs some love and tender care as far as maintaining the gazebo lighting and pillows. Overall if the water pressure would have been better I could recommend this place. Another note they charge you a cleaning fee up front but then they expect you to clean it before you leave. So I don't understand why I'm getting charged as a cleaning fee when I have to clean it before I leave. The owners were on site and we're nice they did help us the first night we were there but it was hard to get a hold of them via phone because the connections were so bad there. It was a pleasant stay for my wife and myself we enjoyed it but our expectations were higher than what we received.

Welcome! As Love County residents since 1999, we have enjoyed all that Southern Oklahoma has to offer and decided to share our love of the area by hosting guests on our property. We both have full time jobs; Becky is the Love County E911 Coordinator and Kemily is a Sr Systems Analyst specializing in electronic medical records for a large hospital system. We live onsite at Somewhere Landing and host 2 cabins and a travel trailer at beautiful Lake Murray in Love County, Oklahoma. We are confirmed novices when it comes to hosting through vacation sites...LOL, and we have enjoyed receiving tips and learning from our guests. We hope you will feel comfortable enough to let us know what you are looking for and what you want for your time away. Kemily's dad was an adventurous man... a federal investigator early in his career, then a Methodist pastor later. Bill Norman took his family camping, boating and on so many awesome vacations. He was always welcoming and his favorite phrase as he greeted individuals was "come see us, we will treat you so many ways you'll like one of them".

Our goal is that you will find peace, adventure and comfort, while you visit us at Somewhere Landing. We hope you will enjoy the beauty of the lake, the amazing sunrises and sunsets that we fall in love with most every day.
