The property was beautiful, and the surroundings were stunning. Despite there being other properties it felt very private. A great place to unwind. The dogs were really friendly and so well behaved, they came by each day to play with our dogs and have a cuddle. Host communication was fantastic, they were extremely accomodating and really went the extra mile. Cant recommend this property enough. We'll defintely be back.

Peaceful Family Weekend

Clean, well equipped, rural location with a lovely walk up to ANZAC cross. Enjoyed the spa under the stars. Close proximity to fishing, swimming and walks at Castlepoint.

Great getaway

We had an amazing couple of days in Tīnui - peaceful location, great weather and plenty to do. House had everything and our host was super helpful. Easy drive over the hill to relax!

Our group of friends spent Christmas at Tinui Homestead’s Poplar Cottage, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We feel incredibly lucky to have found this gem and will cherish the memories we made here. Poplar Cottage was perfect for our group. It was exceptionally clean, warm, and quiet. Having four separate rooms with comfortable queen beds was a huge plus, giving everyone their own space. The kitchen is fully equipped, which made preparing our Christmas meals a breeze. The location is stunning and very handy to Castlepoint for day trips. One of the highlights was the walking track up to the ANZAC Cross - it’s a great bit of exercise through a forest with a rewarding view at the top. We also spent every evening in the spa pool; soaking under the vast, clear night sky was absolutely brilliant. What made the stay extra special were the two friendly resident dogs. They kept us company around the cottage and even joined us for our walks exploring the grounds and the trek up to the Cross. Gwendoline is an absolute star. She was so accommodating, helpful, and truly an all-round excellent host. She made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. If you are looking for a peaceful, well-equipped, and welcoming getaway in a beautiful part of the country, I cannot recommend Tinui Homestead enough. We will definitely be back!
