Enjoyed our stay

The house was clean when we arrived and the location is amazing! The rooms are spacious as is the kitchen and living area. Beds and furniture are comfortable. The house could definitely use a second trash service can. Overall everyone enjoyed our vacation and the kids loved the beach and watching the ships coming in and out of the Port! Sitting on the deck and enjoying watching the waves, sunrises and sunsets! I highly recommend this house!

Convenient location and space

The house was in a perfect location. The access to the beach was perfect. The accommodations were good. Communication with the property manager was above and beyond. Quick to respond and accomodate needs. Only complaint i have was there were no basic household supplies (toliet paper/papertowels/dish soap). Other then that we would absolutely stay there again!

Not big enough for 16 people

The location was nice! We enjoyed the beach! However, we think that the house shouldn’t be advertised to fit 16 people. We were only a total of 12 because one of our friend’s son got sick a day before our trip. It worked out fine as there was no place for them to sleep if they came. Also, there was only 1 trash bin provided. Other beach houses provide 2 for 3 day stay especailly for large groups. It is very inconvenient foe guests to bring the trash to the office.

Hello! I'm so sorry you didn't feel the sleeping capacity was correct. It actually sleeps 16 very comfortably. As for the trash cans, like everything else these days trash cans are extremely hard for the Village to get. With all of the hurricanes last year and manufacturing & delivery delays we are just having an extraordinarily hard time getting & keeping trash cans has become hard to manage. That's why we warn people that we can not guarantee trash cans wont be full upon arrival. The little chairs in the bedrooms fold out to single sleepers. There are: 2 Queens = Sleeps 4 1 Full = Sleeps 2 1 Queen Blow-Up = Sleeps 2 1 Twin over Full Bunk = Sleeps 3 2 Twin Fold Out Sleepers = Sleeps 2 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa = Sleeps 2 1 Full Futon = Sleeps 2 So the house really sleeps 17 but we only advertise 16. We are glad you enjoyed the location and your time at the beach and we hope you made priceless memories with your family. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to host your stay here in Surfside Beach, TX. We manage 76 homes here and hope you will allow us the opportunity to host your next stay.

Have had better experiences

Let's keep it nice and say that this property has comfortable beds. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking stuff but you need to wash everything coming out of the cupboards prior to use for health reasons. The property sits on the rock seawall exactly between two beach access points. The Management company was very quick to respond to request or problems. The dryer works but you have to hand turn tub at times to get it to spin. Unlike some properties this has no paper towels, one roll toilet paper, no spices or any items for cooking except salt an pepper. There was no hand soap or dish soap except dishwasher liquid. There was one old chair left on the deck, but it does have a picnic table and a built in bench around part of the rail. We enjoyed our stay however we will think twice before staying with this property group again as we have to go home and clean everything outside prior to taking into our own homes to avoid bring home little friends. The management did send someone to deal with the friends but it didn't help at all and we even tried Walmart stuff. Apparently they are immune. I would again says it is a nice home.

Great Location

We really enjoyed the location of this property, the beach was right in front of the house along with places to eat and drink within walking distance. At that said, I could tell that the house hasn’t been dusted in awhile, the lights in the baloney seemed to have no switch or didn’t work at all, so couldn’t you the balcony at night without a flash light and the table seemed gritty. The charcoal grill grate was rusted and the balcony door knob was also rusting and left a undesirable touch to open. The beds were really comfortable and the TVs worked great. I would have given a better review if the property was better maintained and house cleaning was a priority, especially since we are playing good money to stay there.

Good Afternoon Ryan - I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of the lights. We ordered them prior to your arrival but they did not arrive in time to replace them until you were already there. With regards to the BBQ and door knob, we are in a coastal environment and although we do our very best to cover the pits and maintain the knobs during the off season things just rust. We do offer suggestions of using an onion the clean the bbq grill. It works great. I will speak to housekeeping about dust. This is surprising to me as the homes are sanitized and disinfected prior to our arrival BUT... sometimes things do get missed. And, coming out of a long empty off season this could honestly be the case. Thanks so very much for taking the time to leave a kind review of our Gulf Winds property. You just cant beat the location! Come back and see us soon!

Started wet, perfect week and ended???

We got there after a very wet and rough week at Surfside under the house was totally covered in water about 2 to 3 inches deep waded through it, unloaded without issue, not a problem went upstairs everything was fine the rest of the week was almost almost rain free. Very nice day I would certainly recommend the house.

Property is poorly managed.

Lock box was broken, had to wait a couple hours for maintenance to assist because on duty employee taking the calls was out of town. No garbage containers for over 3 days, had to ask every day until one was moved from adjacent home to our beach house. Found several broken things in home, no grill, garbage bags in area where an outdoor shower was advertised but was no longer there. Area was beautiful but disappointing due to all the closures from covid. Roof leaked, called and maintenance was sent , he came and never came back, we dealt with a pot in the middle of the room the remainder of our stay. Fuses kept blowing so got really familiar with the fuse box . Home has potential but the employees don't care about their guests stay, even in a financial crisis in their industry. I'll be back to the area but won't be staying with Beachside Rentals again.

Good Afternoon - I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy Gulf Breeze. It's really a sweet little house. The AC line was busted during the freeze and we didn't know until after you said the "roof was leaking". Due to the 3 major hurricanes we had this past summer trash bins are very hard to come by. They have been on order for months and months. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. These owners are in the process of remodeling this home and it is turning out really amazing. The new photos will be posted soon. If you would like to come back another time I would be happy to offer you a 1 day credit to give us another try. We are a wonderful property management company. We have been in business since 1995 and manage 87 homes here and a 34 unit complex in Louisiana. We are all caring and giving and kind and patient. I'm so sorry you were not able to get that experience from us. I will absolutely speak to the maintenance staff. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. At Beach Resort Services, we are more than just a vacation rental company—we are a small, family-owned and operated business with deep roots in Surfside Beach. Our story began in 1957, when our parents stopped in Surfside to fish after their honeymoon in Galveston. What started as a weekend getaway soon became a lifelong tradition, leading to summers spent here as a family before finally making Surfside our home in 1976.

In 1992, our mother and founder, Catherine, who had been managing properties with Brannan Realty since 1976, took over as property manager for 13 homeowners in need—and that’s how Beach Resort Services was born. Since then, we have continued to grow, but we have never lost sight of what makes us special—family, tradition, and a passion for helping others create unforgettable beach memories.

Today, Beach Resort Services is run by a dedicated team of three—Denise, Drew, and Hope—who work tirelessly to provide exceptional service, trustworthy management, and a personal touch to every guest and homeowner we serve.
