We enjoyed our stay at grand view. It was a lovely place. Plenty of room for the whole family. Kitchen was well stocked with any pan, pot, bowl ,etc. that you may need.
Wonderful view of the lighthouses and fort Popham. Very quiet road, so it was safe for the kids to walk down to the point to fish.
We would definitely stay again. The only thing we missed was a washer and dryer.
The property was excellent, location and views were great. We all enjoyed our visit.
Views were excellent and property was well kept and very clean. We apppreciated having the kayaks, My husband went out for a ride each day. Thanks for allowing our family dog to come along with us, she had so much fun in the water each day and loved it. We hope that you were completely satisfied with the cleanliness of the house, we tried to make sure everything was well cleaned before we left. Thanks again for opening your house up for our stay.

This was a dream come true! My entire family fell in love with Cox's Head, Grand View and all of its enhabitants. The place was so clean and comfortable. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. It was comfortable but most importantly, it was relaxing! We all had a great time...and our little mini golden doodle, Freya!! Thanks Jim!! You have a dream come true of a vacation home!

Perfect place to stay unless you have a dog that barks.
Cozy cottage with everything you need. Beautiful views…10 minutes from the beach and 20 minutes to Bath. We found enough to do even with a few rainy days.
We have a dog that notifies us whenever anyone is near the house. The neighbors have a lovely old dog that roams free…our dog wasn’t having it! That’s our problem…not theirs!!! Just something to note if you are bringing your fury friend.
I have recommended the cottage to my folks. They would love it!
This cottage was perfect for 2 adult couples, 2 adolescent kids, and a dog. We were often sitting on the outside porch, watching the kids play on the expansive lawn - felt the coolish breezes and heard the calming sound of wind chimes - soothing and peaceful! There were 3 kayaks for our use, which were lying on a dock at the end of the lawn on the bay side - wonderful bay to explore and so comfortable out there, with occasional wild life to see, plus some beautiful homes perched on top of expansive rocks. In the cottage there was an upstairs where the 2 bedrooms plus a bathroom were, with a door at the bottom of the stairs, which was very handy for keeping the dog out. The kids were very content with sleeping on the pull-out living room couch's bed, and on the comfortable futon couch-bed in the front enclosed porch. The location of the house is very remote, it being towards the end of a long dirt, winding and beautiful road. There was a nice short walk down the road to the end, which was a rocky edge to the ocean, with 3 chairs available for taking in the views !!! Plus there was a short hiking trail going up a hill, with panoramic views at the top. Popham Beach, one of Maine's most beautiful beaches is only about a mile away, but you need to get there early in order to get a parking spot - plus there is a parking permit available for those staying at the cottage. We visited Bath one day and were surprised to see how lovely it was, with some funky shops, including a few art galleries displaying the works of several very talented and creative local artists. Boothbay Harbor is about a 40 - 45 minute drive, and worth going to, for the lovely old New England types of houses all along the harbor, the shops, and the feel of a traditionally quaint and elegant coastal Maine town.

Perfectly lovely coastal cottage. I absolutely loved it. Would buy it if I had the means.
For the most part very clean. I did extra work on the shower. Used products need to be removed before next tenants arrive. We bring our own.
The absence of a washer was difficult for a two week stay with family visits. Laundrymat is expensive! Instructions for trash lacking. I took mine to Casella for 30$.
These things are small when considering this wonderful find. The location was beautiful. Furnishings were in excellent shape. A breeze blew through the house most of the time. All my visitors loved it too.
Lovely prospects from both front and back of house. It came with everything one could need. Neighbors are wonderful. We had a great time. And every day we eagerly awaited the turkeys running across the front lawn. And the foxes!
This house was a true Maine experience. There was everything you could need. The beauty of the view from the front enclosed porch was overwhelming. We also loved the rocky point just a couple minute walk from the house for fishing or just enjoying the view. We definitely enjoyed our stay.
Great Location and views - my son said he wants to buy it :)
Excellent location.. all you can ask for ... clean , well equipped kitchen and linens, etc.... beautiful view.... very close to beach... only down side is that next door neighbor is close if your dog is not socialized, or like mine is usually on patrol when home.
Thanks Jim and Kathy for being wonderful people! The house was lovely, has everything you need. Pictures dont do it justice. VIEWS Are amazing! Loved having my dogs with us. Checking with Kathy was great and she was so helpful. So sorry we had to cut out trip home for a medical emergency and thankfully all is ok and my Aunt is recovering well. I cant express enough heartfelt thanks for the refund for the days we missed by leaving early!! Highly recommend this property and people ... true heart and soul ❤ and hope to book again in the future!

GRANDVIEW -well named.
This rental property is all and more than the great listing provides. Perfectly located so that central Maine visiting is possible. The coastal activities are all available. Kayaking out into the backyard bay is a favorite. And clamming in both the front and back bays are great fun and delicious (license from the local town hall free and easy to obtain). The local restaurants and interesting local cities of Bath, Brunswick areas so close. Freeport has wonderful shopping and Portland also is so easy to get to. We return every year and consider it home away from home. The Kearneys, W. Springfield, MA

Wonderful Home and Pet Friendly!
My husband and I travel to Maine twice a year, and our June trips consist of places we've never been before. This home was very charming; wonderful water views and absolutely great neighbors! Kathy, Blanche and Bill were very friendly and take care of the place when the owner is not there. If you have any questions on where to eat or what to do, ask them! Beautiful area in Maine. Off the beaten path. Home is immaculate and very inviting. Our golden retriever, Maddy, travels with us and the owner was very accomodating. Thank you for that! Weather was a little iffy, but that's Maine. Views are spectacular!! Make sure to eat at Spinneys! Nearby towns of Bath and Brunswick are wonderful. Would definitely return, but longer next time.
