High above sleepy Coral Bay on Bordeaux Mountain sits Skyflower, named after the beautiful blue Plumbago which grows in profusion on the property. This 2 BR/2.5 BA home is in the West Indian style with Great House and bedrooms in separate buildings.

The panoramic views from all rooms are spectacular, overlooking the British Virgins, St Johns East End, and Coral Bay. Skyflower provides an enchanting Caribbean experience and the ultimate in privacy for honeymooners, two couples, or a small family.

The Great House provides dining and entertainment space and a separate, two story building houses two equal size bedrooms and baths. 1500 square feet of deck unites the buildings into one indoor/outdoor living space.

The kitchen is a fully equipped 'cooks' kitchen with stainless appliances, marble countertops, quality utensils, and good lighting. Dining is inside on an antique family dining table or 'al fresco' under the covered deck.

Separation of the bedrooms from the Great House and from one another assures privacy for all guests. On the same level as the Great House the upper bedroom has a king sized, hand carved mahogany four poster bed with comfortable bath with a door to the private outdoor shower.

The downstairs bedroom with adjoining living area is accessed by an outside staircase. This bedroom has 2 twin beds which can be joined to make up as a king. A lovely bath opens unto a tiled garden shower.

The price is based on the number of people who occupy the property. Nightly rate is based on a 1-2 occupancy. Each additional guest above 2 is charged a per person per nights fee. Please enter the correct TOTAL number of guests including children when booking the property. Only paying guests are allowed on the property.

The view alone is worth staying here! Unforgettable views. The drive to get to this property is very steep, but part of the fun! Although the house does not have A/C, we stayed cool by keeping the doors and windows opened up to catch the cooler breezes of the higher altitude here, the only catch was closing them back up with the daily brief rain showers the island gets. The house is very well appointed and clean! Would absolutely stay here again.

Great views but be prepared for the drive!

We stayed at SkyFlower this past week and had a mostly enjoyable experience. The views from the house decks are nothing short of spectacular. That being said, be prepared to work for them! The house is situated on Bordeaux Mountain road and there are basically two ways in and out. The road up from Coral Bay is extremely steep with inclines of up to 19Ā° making it feel at times as if you're going straight up. You definitely need a 4wd vehicle - especially if the road is wet. You can go in the opposite direction or Bordeaux Mountain road. That way is easier with the exception of the turn into and out of the driveway. If you are not an experienced off-roader either option may be a bit uncomfortable until you get the hang of it. The other issue we experienced were rolling blackouts. While we were aware that small power outages might be expected we spent most of our week trying to time our arrivals to the house so we had power to take showers and such. I believe our experience is atypical and usually there are only minor outages, but be warned that the pontential for outages is ever present and when the power is out things like showers and flushing the toilets must be rationed becuse there is an electric pump to supply water. Overall we enjoyed our adventure, but given the amount of money we spent expecting basic amenities and having to spend a lot of time in the dark, literally, we would probably look for a house lower down with a generator.

Fabulous views and SUPER clean!

Such a gem! Wonderful cool breezes, fabulous views, cleanest rental we have ever stayed in and even with random power outages, we just got some ice and put perishables in the cooler. You won't regret booking this amazing house!

Fantastic stay!

We loved our stay here! The views are simply stunning. The villa was spotless and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was very well-appointed for cooking meals, and the water is also triple-filtered, so no need to buy jugs of water. Our week here went by much too quickly, and we hope to be back. Do not have any hesitation about booking this place, it is fantastic!

Bordeaux Paradise!

Another wonderful stay at SkyFlower! It rained the first few days but then cleared up for the remainder of the trip. Had a couple of power outages the first two days but J. P. was there with lanterns and flashlights for us. He is the best!! The outages only lasted a couple of hours. They were rolling throughout the island. Power company was doing some work. The villa has everything you need to prepare a nice meal. Best grilling views ever! I could grill and jacuzzi all day! The decor is amazing. Everything is well thought out and blends nicely throughout the Villa. They paid a lot of attention to detail. Jeep from Sunshineā€™s, groceries from Moā€™s, snorkel gear from Ray at Crabbyā€™s, early morning Maho turtles, pet some donkeys, fish tacos at the Beach Bar for lunch and Halloween cheeseburgers at Skinny Legz. Canā€™t forget Vibe. Great store! This place is so much fun! Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home again. St. John is such a special place. Look forward to another stay soon. Best view on the island

My husband and I came to celebrate our 15th anniversary. The pictures don't do the view justice. It is absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed the hot tub at night looking for shooting stars and the sounds of the frogs. It is definitely a drive to the house, but that was just part of the fun and adventure. The house is even nicer than it appears online. The kitchen is very well stocked with items needed to cook in the kitchen. We only ate breakfast at the house, but loved having that option so we didn't have to be up and out of the house. Cruz Bay is an easy 20 minute drive. The outdoor showers were fun and highly secluded from the houses above. Loved that there were towels for the beach and the shower. The master bed was comfortable and the sheer curtains helped keep the sun out a little bit in the morning. Management was great from meeting us at the car rental to checking in on us during the week. A few nights the wind was quite strong and kept us awake but nothing we couldn't handle. It is humid but the constant breeze keeps you cool. You do stay a little sticky due to humidity but that is to be expected. Overall, it was a fun experience and we hope to come back again.

Literally Perfect

Skyflower is an actual dream of a property & we cannot say enough good things about it! We wanted to be on the Coral Bay side of the island because we prefer the quiet & the amazing breezes that you don't get in Cruz Bay. We were NOT disappointed. The breeze is INCREDIBLE at Skyflower & we spent many evenings in the hot tub enjoying the sounds of the island & the gorgeous night sky. One night we saw 4 shootings stars in 30 minutes! We slept with the doors open & the breeze kept us cool enough even in June. The house itself is stunning. We booked for 2 people so we only used the upstairs. The kitchen & living area has been kept updated even since the pictures in the listing were taken. It is beautiful & has all the comforts of home, which you don't always get on the island. It was very convenient that is has a dishwasher & clothes washer. And the tap water is actually delicious! The bedroom was spacious with plenty of closet & drawer space, & the bed was comfortable. We loved the outdoor shower & got used to seeing the same little tree frog hanging out whenever we showered at night. The house is amazingly private & we were able to really feel like we were away from it all while there. It was easy to forget we were actually right off of the paved road. This property was perfect for us, and we would gladly book again for 2 or 4 people. The island economy is hard, so if you stay on Coral Bay, please support the local spots like Miss Lucy's, Love City Cafe, and Salty Mongoose!

Magical Stay at Skyflower

We just returned from a stay at Skyflower, Dec. 24 - Dec. 31, 2022. I worried so much about where to stay and my worry was needless. Skyflower is a magical place and really made the trip. Do not hesitate to stay in this beautiful home! The pictures do not do it justice. It is even better in person. All week we marveled at the special touches in this well-planned, well-maintained home. The view was the most amazing part of our stay. We felt so lucky to be able to wake up to the gorgeous sunrises with coffee on the deck and end our days with cocktails in the hot tub. The house is beautiful, with pretty touches everywhere. The beds were comfy, the kitchen stocked with everything needed for gourmet meals, and although the house didn't have air conditioning, with the breezes you didn't need it. The outdoor showers were really unique and refreshing. There was front-load washer and dryer set on site complete with detergent. It's a fairly steep, windy hill to get to the property, but the road is paved and well-maintained in my opinion it is far better than many of the places we saw on the island, The gated driveway is fairly level with ample room to turn around, and we always felt safe even with the doors open.at night. We loved the night sounds of the tropical critters, but if you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring along some earplugs. It is located on the quieter side of the island, and was just a short, beautiful drive to the beaches with a coffee/smoothie stop about halfway. At the base of the hill up to the home there is a grocery store for the basics (no meat) and several restaurants to choose from without the hustle and bustle of Cruz Bay congestion. We loved the evening atmosphere at Rhumb Lines, Salty Mongoose, Skinny Legs, and Johnny LIme. We explored all the big beaches, and tried Hansen Bay for fun in Coral Bay and found it to be laid back with good snorkeling, and paddleboard rentals for $15/day. A note about the house set-up. There is a main living area with a kitchen, dining, bathroom family room on the top level, opening to a deck with a hot tub and outdoor dining table and chairs that is shared by the master bedroom/bath with outdoor shower. The second apartment is on the lower level with an outdoor staircase leading down to a deck below. The apartment was set up with comfy twin beds, a bathroom with an outdoor shower, kitchenette, and living room. We loved our stay at the Skyflower and can't wait to return!

Breathtaking views and Christmas winds

Sky Flower 10/2021

Had an amazing time at the Sky Flower home. J.P. And his wife met us at the starfish market and then we followed them to the property. The views are the best on the island! Sunrises were beautiful. The house is well decorated with a real St. John feel. Each day we would notice something new with decor. Had a deer visit a few times during our 8 days. The hot tub at night was great. Cooked some nice meals in the well equipped kitchen. The night time sounds were very calming and peaceful. I prefer Coral Bay to Cruz Bay. Not far to the north shore beaches where I dove with turtles at Maho. Saw more turtles at Hansen beach which is my favorite beach. Did the Ramshead trail and hung out at the salt pond beach one day. Rented a 15ā€™ Boston Whaler in Cruz Bay and got to do some boating along all the north shore beaches. By far my best stay ever on St. John! Sky Flower was my best stay ever on St. John. Thanks for the great service J. P.! We will be back soon.

Just perfect!!!

This was our first visit to St John and after needlessly stressing over which villa to pick, we are so grateful we chose Skyflower. The views are utterly spectacular as you can see from the photos. So peaceful just to sit on the deck or hot tub in the mornings and evenings looking out over paradise. The continual breeze kept things cool and comfortable. The villa itself was great - extremely clean and well-kept with everything you might needā€¦.a stocked kitchen, beach chairs, towels, etc. We didnā€™t realize there was a washer and dryer, so that was a nice surprise. The entrance to the house is off a steep road but no problems. One tip is to put your Jeep in 4wd if the roads are wet (Iā€™d say thatā€™s a good tip in more than a few spots on the island because some of the grades are quite steep. Not necessary at all if the roads are dry). Anyway, I highly recommend Skyflower - you will not be disappointed!!

Amazing property

We love St. John (the other favorite island is St Martin for different reasons). We put a lot of though into selecting a property on the island - Kind of obvious. But still - we like properties with pool. This one does not have a pool. IT DOES NOT NEED IT. - Jacuzzi is amazing. It gets as hot as you need it to be. It is in a good location on the deck. - Kitchen is amazing - The view is amazing. It is located as high as as you want it to be. Very windy! As you get higher it gets windier and the drive is longer. The view from this side of the bay is great because the sun is behind you the most of the day and the small spectacularly cute hills are in front of you!!! - The greet and meet was good, the people we met at the property weā€™re very nice. - The master bedroom is nice - First floor apartment and laundry is nice. - Deck is great. Had breakfast there every morning. - The ride to the property is kinda fun with goats occupying the road at night! Very FUN!

Wonderful Skyflower

This was out first time on St. John and Skyflower was a beautiful property to stay in. The views are truly incredible, the house is extremely well decorated and appointed, there is plenty of living space, and the kitchen has everything you would need and more. Constant breezes made it very comfortable even in late July. The property management company is great - they met us in Cruz Bay, after weā€™d gotten our jeep and something to eat and groceries, guided us to the house, and showed us around the property. Great communication from the day of arrival and on through the week. Easy to get in and out of the flat driveway, short drive down the hill to Coral Bay. Would definitely stay again!

Incredible views

The views of St John and the BVI are amazing, the pictures don't do it justice! The deck and hot tub were our favorite parts of the property. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials and cooking supplies. The constant ocean breeze means the temperature is comfortable even without AC. It's nice that beach chairs, towels and cooler are provided. Overall, we really enjoyed everything about this property and would recommend to anyone interested!

Sweeping views, peaceful property

House is exactly as advertised and views are more than pictures can tell. Chefs kitchen was great for cooking breakfast and when staying in. But good food choices in Coral Bay as well. Comfortable bed and incredible sunrise views from the pillow. Strong breeze 24/7 with nature sounds. Outdoor showers are private and have a view. Road up Bordeaux Mountain is indeed very steep. But easy after first time and villas driveway is nice and flat with a turnaround so only steep when on main road. Recommend a Jeep rental for hill and general driving on island. Jacuzzi was perfect for sunset and stars.

If you want a beautiful view from high on the mountainside of Coral Bay, this is where you want to stay. The property description is spot on. Just bear in mind that no A/C isnā€™t just about whether itā€™s too warm. It is perfectly cool and not humid. Only thing is you have to be OK with nighttime noises because there plentiful. Romance with a view.

A well designed villa with a chef's kitchen, updated bathrooms, livingroom and bedroom. A beautiful wrap around porch with a hot tub and an amazing view that is even better than the pictures.. Property manager was pleasant and accessible for all needs. Wouldn't change a thing!! The Coral Bay setting was tranquil and the morning sunrises were a romantic way to start the day with island coffee from St joihn spice and bloody mary's. There was no need for air conditioning as the Bordeaux mountain breezes kept the air cool and the bugs at bay. The drive up and down the mountain was easy once you got used to it. It was a pleasure to see all the wildlife such as donkees, goats, and cats roaming free and living of the green vegetation. Can't say enough good things about our stay and highly recommend to couples who are looking to get away from it all in a beautiful setting.

2020 Island Getaway

This property's listing caught my attention, as my wife is an early riser and LOVES sunrises. Skyflower did not disappoint. The eastward view over Coral Bay and on to Tortola, BVI is absolutely stunning. In fact, one can enjoy the view from practically anywhere in this well laid out villa. Skyflower is a beautiful, centrally located villa with pretty easy access to the north shore beaches of St. John. We would seriously consider choosing Skyflower again should our travels lead us back to St. John. Re: the owners and property manager, we reserved Skyflower prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. Communications were clear with quick responses, and all parties were wonderful to work with. They eased our concerns and offered schedule flexibility should local restrictions impact our travel plans. We ended up having a fantastic trip and loved Skyflower.

Tropical Mountain Top Retreat

Skyflower is a lovingly maintained property on the East face of Bordeaux Mtn. This provides stunning vistas of the East end of St. John and the BVI's beyond. The house is well equipped for cooking and has ample common space. More importantly, the deck square footage exceeds that under roof for enjoying the Caribbean locale!

Simply spectacular

Is even better that one can imagine from the photographs. The views are to die for, beds are super comfy, kitchen is excellent. Adding a Roku or something like that for Netflix, Amazon prime etc may be nice?
