The hot water didn't work the entire stay, the photos online look amazing but it isn't as great in person, when we arrived the key was in the door vs in a lockbox.

Overall great property. Only complaint would be receptacles need replacing as several would not hold chargers.

Centrally located close to beach and shopping. Very cute house well appointed. Easy check-in and out. We rented extra bikes through the company provided. The bikes were delivered and picked up from the house.

We absolutely loved our stay in Seaside! I will say this house is very small and extremely close quarters. The house looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned for quite a while. The pans were covered in soap scum and we couldn’t cook with them, but the hosts got us new pans to use which I thought was very kind. We didn’t receive a parking pass upon check in and ended up with a parking barnacle (a device so you can’t drive your vehicle) on our windshield and had to miss our dinner reservation bc it took them a while to remove it . Then we paid for the gym membership/community pool for 3 of our 6 days and couldn’t get into the pool. We did have problems with the AC cooling everyday abeywern 12-8 bc it was so hot and humid and we were told the air conditioner “couldn’t keep up and the house was old” I will say when we arrived that check in was a breeze . There are two bikes including with the home which was awesome. We ended up renting 3 more so that we could all have one. I will say the communication out the host company was very attentive and communicative and helpful. We will definitely rent from sandpiper again, but not this house.

Loved the location and how we could all walk to everything : pools, beaches, shops, dinner. That was awesome. Charming and fun. The house was smaller and tight quarters. We needed more usable space.

Our group enjoyed our stay overall. A few things I wish had been included in the listing were photos of how narrow the staircases are — I’d suggest adding photos of them to help future guests prepare. We were also frustrated that the hot water was not working during our stay, especially while on vacation. I appreciate the quick response to get it fixed. The electrician who came to repair the water heaters mentioned there are electrical issues and said we were “lucky the house didn’t burn down,” which was concerning to hear. It would also be helpful to add a note to the listing regarding the rental property behind Sea Song, as we experienced some parking confusion and received grocery deliveries that were actually intended for the neighboring property.That said, the communication, cleanliness and location were great overall.

October in Seaside

We absolutely loved the location of this property! So close to beach & shops/restaurants! We also enjoyed cooking & staying in a few nights. The kitchen is pretty small for 6 adults. But with so many restaurant options we did not go hungry! Make sure to use suggested beach access & code in handbook! We will be back to Seaside next year!

Precious Cottage

Cottage was exact according to the pictures and description. No disappointments! Perfect location in Seaside!!! Comfortable and quaint, private but close to activity, perfect size for 3-4 guests, kitchen efficient and appliances perfect! We will stay here again!! Bright with sunlight, great decor and vibe.......I am in love with this cottage!!!!

Beautiful but worn

The house was exceptionally well located and clean. Furniture was worn and uncomfortable, there weren’t enough glasses and electrical outlets on main floor and upper deck were not in working order (and a worn electrical cord ran under the door). The stairs are very narrow and steep making them hard to navigate with luggage or for kids. The primary outdoor space for gathering is off of the master bathroom which was awkward. The service company was very responsive and professional.

We enjoyed our stay in Seaside as always. The cottage is close to everything - park your car for the duration and walk!Just a few minor suggestions for the owner and potential renters;The stairs to the upper 2 levels are narrow and steep with 1 turn midway to 2nd level. May not be recommended for young kids, elders or those with issues walking.The electrical outlets as mentioned in previous posts, are older and plugs don’t stay plugged in.There are no night lights and would suggest bringing a few along, getting from the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor bathroom in the night would require turning on a light, we brought several night lights with.These are just heads up for future renters to be prepared—There is no small/travel laundry soap provided but easy enough to purchase at Modica market.There are no coffee filters.See you next year, Seaside!

Seaside/Seasong

The location to downtown and the beach was amazing. The house has a lot of winding, narrow stairs to the bedrooms, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for families with small children. Beds and bathrooms were a nice size for a vacation home. The kitchen pots/pans/utensils are pretty much shoved into drawers and under cabinets and are not the best. The dishwasher is also very old and doesn't clean well. We had one pod for the dishwasher and no trash bags, but I asked for a few more and got them right away. The hot water also quit working, but it was fixed within two hours of my request. Overall, it was a good place to stay for our family, and we fell in love with Seaside!

Location was great. However, we do have a list. 1. Plumbing is an issue-you have to hold the toilet handle way to long for downstairs bathroom. 2. There was a hole in the vent in the upstairs room, my husband wrapped a bag around it. 3. TV in top room malfunctions terrible while watching a show. It randomly changes channels 4. Bugs 5. Old stuff under the beds from previous renters. We even found a random saltine cracker in one of the “clean” bowls. Trash, shoes, etc. 6. Key holder is not in a convenient place at all. Should consider a door code entry. These were definitely not deal breakers, but we enjoyed villa Whimsey and our place from 2 years ago much more. We think this one just needs a little tlc

Underwhelmed

I really hate to put out a bad review but feel it is important for renters to know about this property. The furniture was worn out at best and uncomfortable. There were towels left behind. Hardly any cookware or utensils! What was there was bad quality. Stairs were 30" or 32" wide and felt unsafe. Only one tv had channels with cable. The other two had a few snowy channels. The light to the left of the bed did not work. The fan downstairs only operated at high and no knob to use it properly. The fridge opened the wrong way. The front door key early worked and the bikes were awful. Old and rusty. The management company had us at one beach entrance that was under construction and then gave us the wrong codes to get into the other. The codes changed and other renters helped us out throughout the week. For that price, I would expect none of the above issues. We will never rent from them again.

We are sorry you were underwhelmed with your stay at this property. The stairs are narrow, but not unsafe. The main TV does work well and we will speak with the property owner about updating the other 2 TVs and any outdated cookware. This can be addressed this off season so thank you for that feedback. The code for all of the private beach access points are the same, so apologies if something was miscommunicated on that front. Despite any issues we hope you enjoyed your time in Seaside and the beach!

Perfect place for relaxing

We were in town for a family wedding happening not too far away and decide to add a couple of days at the beach. We love Seaside and enjoyed the beach and visit the area.

Great time!

We loved staying at the Sea Song and found the location to be perfect to walk to the beach, dinner and various friends nearby. The old cottage style makes the architecture feel authentic to the 1950's, although built in the 80's. The bicycles came in handy as well. Thank you for making our stay at Sea Side enjoyable.

Cute and great location.

The house was nice and clean. Had all the amenities you need. Has a BBQ (charcoal), upstairs and downstairs patio furniture, tvs, DVD player, coffee maker and parking.

A special place

This house was perfect. It was so close to the beach and town. We rode bikes and walked everywhere. The house is older, but so nice. There was plenty of space for everyone. The street was amazing. I felt like I was in an older simpler time. I was so happy with this rental.
