The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Roll trash can to the opposite side of the street with lid opening facing the street
Set AC to 78° in summer. Set heat to 65° in winter
Place sheets and towels by the laundry area on the floor
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Max 6 cars. No parking in the grass (this includes golf carts). NO fire pits other than the BBQ pit downstairs. THERE IS A SECURITY CAMERA DOWNSTAIRS
NONREFUNDABLE PET FEE OF $100 REQUIRED. ALL pets MUST be on a leash outside the fenced area. NO glass on the beach and NO fireworks are allowed.
More than 8 guests overnight is an extra $100 PER PERSON PER NIGHT. NO EXCEPTIONS. Do not bring more than the number of guests you have listed

Great location! Easy & close beach access and a nice bar and grill just diagonal across the street from the house. The house was fully stocked with all we needed and then some. The BEST place to stay in Surfside! Great views of the beach and only about a block walk to the beach! Comfy, cozy home with plenty of room for our 5 adults and 2 kids! My grandgirl (12) who has NEVER requested returning to the same place came to me and said, “G, can we please stay here every summer from now on?” We are definitely returning every year for the week of July 8! If you are looking for a perfect spot at Surfside, you should book “Reese’s Rendezvous” all the other weeks of the year!!!

Our stay was wonderful. We recommend staying weekdays if you’re looking for relaxation, as the beach was quite crowded on weekend days. The house had everything we needed. We did buy a new grill, as the one available there has not held up well in the salty environment. The dog pen at the bottom of the stairs was very convenient.

Hello! We are Randy and Doneane Reese. We bought our beach home in 2014 while Randy was working in Freeport. When his job ended, we decided to start sharing our little piece of paradise with others. Randy is an Electrical Inspector and Doneane is a Lawyer and College Professor. We love to come to our home and relax and de-stress!

Why they chose this property

We love the location, the views, and all of the local amenities that Surfside offers its residents and vacationers. The Village of Surfside is a family oriented community. The beaches are well maintained and patrolled. Car traffic is minimal (unless it is a holiday weekend).

What makes this property unique

Surfside offers many conveniences that other local beach communities lack. We really like that it is a quiet place to bring our family (unlike some other Southeast Texas beaches!). Groceries, drinks, ice, gas, souvenirs, restaurants and bars, there is really no reason to leave the island for anything! We also have neighbors who are full time residents so we have them to look out for things when we are not there. With close access to the beach for walking over, and a drive on entrance just a few blocks away, this was the perfect vacation home for us! We look forward to many more years enjoying Surfside.
