A great location at the end of a private road. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the dock after spending our days on the lake on a rented pontoon boat.

Visit was outstanding. The cottage was very clean, all facilities functiomed well, provided linens were very convenient. The porch held a large number of guests easily - and gave a stunning view of the lake. The weather was too cold to take advantage of the dock, barbeque, etc. All in all, an excellent stay in a beautifully decorated faciliyy.

This home was fantastic. Very clean and set up was perfect with two nice size bedrooms and bath upstairs and first floor bedroom. The front room with tv was perfect space for quiet area and extra space with two couches. The sun porch was delightful with two couches and a small table to enjoy the lake, visit, play games. The highlight of the property was the extra wide L shaped dock with platform. Dock was sturdy and included a picnic table. Was perfect for the group to have coffee, watching kids swim and just enjoy the lake. Dock was sturdy enough for a fiends boat to pull for on and off rides. Kitchen was perfectly situated for meals and room for snacks with countertops and a kitchen table. Although there were steps to the lake they were very manageable and had two levels to sit outside. The fire pit was a nice touch for late night gathering . Neighboring homes are very close to this property but did not pose any issues as the trees provide privacy. Very convenient parking behind the house that fit 5 cars. Be warned that the street getting to the home is single lane with several speed bumps so it took more time and caution to get in and out but typical of the area. Management was excellent with communication and very helpful. Highly recommend .

Everything was fantastic and just as the pictures show. We had our family of 4 there and even with rainy weather - fully took advantage of the "Lake Life". Paul, the owner stopped by, he was truly a gem and the stay wouldn't have been as good without him swinging by to give us some advice on launching and docking the jet skis. Having your kayak was super fun too as we typically bring paddleboads, but no kayak. Cleaning team missed cleaning the freezer from previous guest/spill, but that wasn't enough for us even to mention... just cleaned it up and started to relax. Would love if the property management company would allow guests to leave spices, salt, pepper, cooking spray would have been helpful when grilling. We ran out and bought that along with some aluminum foil. I'm assuming this was mentioned in the listing, we just missed it. The property management company does provide one load's worth of laundry soap, extra TP, paper towels, and dish soap... we brought all this stuff so left these items for the next guest. But overall - I think I could have read the listing better to prepare. We loved our stay and would be back again. Thanks!!

Magical

My Mom had a cottage on Canandaigua Lake. I have been going there since I was 5. I am now 68. We had to close the cottage many years ago. Being back there again felt like home. My heart will always be on Canandaigua Lake.

The lake view was lovely. Getting to the lake could be made a little easier with handrails.We had a problem with a soaking wet bathroom floor when we arrived. The whole area is carpeted. We called maintenance, and a young man arrived and did a wonderful job finding and fixing the leak. He also did a wet-vac job as well as an he could to get rid of the excess water. He carried out around 5 gallons! He had some difficulty finding the water shut off valve. It might be helpful to know where those are located.He was completely successful in stopping the leak, but as the carpet dried, a mildew smell began to be more and more noticeable in that bathroom. I’d be surprised if there was no mold developing there.The refrigerator in the small kitchen is also leaking into the bottom drawers. I don’t think there’s an external leak.I have to say…the stairs are frightening! This is undoubtedly a place for a younger family. It’s beautiful, and the new kitchen is terrific, but we are all in our 70s, and some of these issues are challenging.We did have a wonderful time, and the house is very good for a younger group.

Twilight Cove is a unique house with a beautiful setting on Canandaigua Lake's East side. The sunsets are spectacular!! The house itself is a mix of eclectic (a hand painted mural on the living room wall) and modern (a combination convection/microwave oven). The gently sloping front lawn leads to a gorgeous lakefront setting, and a wonderfully huge permanent dock. I love how the dock is built around the picturesque willow tree. The house was clean, well equipped, and easy to get around. The sun room is the shining star of the house -- a six sided room with almost all glass walls. It was the perfect spot to sit and paint, craft and read, all while contemplating the beauty of the lake. The only negative about the house is it could definitely use some instructions re navigating the very fancy digital Keurig (we eventually figured it out), the crazy complicated television system (we didn't watch much TV), and the NEST thermostat system for the heating/cooling (we were at it's mercy the entire time!). A binder containing such info, plus more, is usually found in vacation rentals, and it would be a great addition to Twilight Cove.
