This lovely quiet house in town is surrounded by gardens and trees for total privacy. The house opens to a patio and is light and very clean. We loved using the pool after visiting the many historic sites nearby. It was a short walk to bakeries, bar/restaurants, a green grocer, and a well-stocked small market. The house itself was well-equipped and very comfortable. And, importantly, our host Denis was most gracious and helpful. We’d certainly stay again when returning to this area of France!

Fantastic holiday home!

The property is a barn conversion that has been completed to a high standard and makes a great holiday home. Denis and Christine (the owners/hosts) were great and offered a very warm welcome on arrival. Contentin offers a lot to do and see, along with great beaches and good food of course. We can highly recommend staying at this property and to spend time exploring all that the Cotentin region has to offer.

Beautiful cottage

Perfect location. We were able to walk to town for whatever we needed. Close to all the WWII sites but set in a quiet residential neighborhood. Hosts were lovely and responsive. Accommodations were clean and bright with everything you could need. Would definitely recommend.

The house was wonderful and spacious. You get a large washing machine and a dryer rack for drying your clothes. The bathrooms were nice with large showers. The pool is a nice feature and it’s heated, but we did not use it during our trip but it looks nice. You need to pay attention to the listing and let the owners know you need sheets and towels an be advised they are an extra charge. Also, the bathrooms had a small bottle of bath gel, but if you’re staying for a longer time it’s best to bring your own soap and shampoo. The house is in an amazing location and you can walk to many restaurants and cafes. In addition, there is a small market to get groceries and a pharmacy near by. Great property and will stay there again.

Great house, lovely owners

We had a very nice time. Be prepared to drive around a bit in case you wish to see and do things. Otherwise the house and pool/garden are great. Very clean and the owners were really friendly and made good recommendations. The arena is quiet, not lively. Good for running and cycling. Great stay, thanks for having us!

A beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean property with everything you could wish for on holiday with the highlight for us being the covered heated 8x4m pool and the outdoor seating area. Our host Denis was there to meet us as arranged and talked to us extensively about the area. One bonus of the property is being situated in the village of Montebourg (Celestine is a great bakery) and close by to the lovely town of Valonges as well as the more obvious Cotentin attractions.
