About this property

Moonage Daydream - private waterfront cottage in the country

Newly renovated with a bedroom addition, open living room & kitchen with bar counter seating for 2, and a 3-piece bathroom.

It's ideal for 2 people, but can sleep a family of 5 (maximum of 2 adults please). The bedroom has a queen size bed, the living room sofa pulls out into a double, and the ottoman converts into a single bed, perfect for kids!

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. You'll be surrounded by fields, birds, trees, water, and you'll see the occasional cow or goat if you decide to walk the loop (5.5 km walk).

On a cloudless night, the night sky is stunning to look at. There are an abundance of fireflies in peak summer. Many birds nest on the property, perfect for bird-watching. Later in the summer, you will be able to pick blueberries by the side of the road, or apples from the trees on the property.

Explore the beautiful Miramichi River with fishing and canoeing opportunities, or take a scenic hike in the surrounding forests.

Nearby, you’ll find local farms offering fresh produce when in season. Tottie Farm is 5 minutes away, and Sippley Farm is just beyond that. Sippley also sells farm-fresh eggs.

There are some games: cornhole game, outdoor jenga, deck of cards with cribbage board, snakes & ladders.

I've also supplied a beach umbrella if you decide to go to a beach! Kellys Beach at Kouchibouguac is nice.

There is even an RV outlet on the side of the cottage for you to plug into.

After your day of exploring, relax in the 2-person outdoor sauna. In the summer there is also a cold water outdoor shower, perfect for a quick rinse after the sauna!

Du Vin General Store (Wilson's) is 5 minutes away, they are a gas station with a convenience store that also sells beer, wine, and alcohol. If you need groceries or supplies, Miramichi is a 20 minute drive. Moncton is 90 minutes away.

In Miramichi, French Fort Cove has many beautiful trails, as well as a zipline that operates in the summer. Kouchibouguac National Park also has many beautiful trails, and is only 30 minutes away. Bouctouche has a vibrant farmers market, just over an hour away. It's on the way to Moncton so you could make a day of it and visit both!

Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a family escape, or a peaceful vacation on your own (or with your dog), this cottage is your serene sanctuary by the river!

It's a beautiful property and every aspect is so well thought out. We loved the kitchen was fully stocked with any equipment you need (Keurig and Nutribullet included), as well as the directions where to buy eggs from the local farmer. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat :)

Beautiful cozy new cabin tucked away in a country setting that felt like home. The sunsets were spectacular and the fireflies put on a little light show at night. Vesna, our host, thought of everything one could need. The internet is spotty, but not a problem for us. After all, you are in a country setting and should enjoy the outdoors. We would stay there again.

I was born in Yugoslavia (now Serbia) and came to Canada as a child. I've lived in Toronto, Ontario most of my life. I moved to New Brunswick a few years ago, and fell in love with the beautiful countryside.
I'm now semi-retired but I used to work in the concert industry, so I have seen many amazing live shows. I love listening to music, especially my old albums.

Why they chose this property

I wanted the peace and quiet of the countryside. On my morning dog walks, sometimes not a single car goes by on my road. Just what I was looking for!

What makes this property unique

It's a lovely property, mostly field (3 acres) with a nice view of the river from the back porch.
