Mere Road Property is a gem. It was immaculately presented when we arrived. Security access was simple using the guidelines and having a lockup garage with automatic door open/close made things so easy. It's internal access from garage so convenient. We had no rain but if wet the above features would make happy visitors. Instead we had adverse cold windy conditions at zero temps, but the heat pump on fan setting circulated heat throughout the living/dining and kitchen area in minutes. Plenty of hot water and lovely showers. Cooking facilities are great and utensils available meet all needs. All beds have excellent mattresses and linen and towels were spotless. Everything operates normally. Easy access to a large sheltered deck off lounge with barbecue facility would be great in summer. Too cold for us with current weather condition. It's only 5 minutes to township and two minutes to lake. If you want a neat stay in Taupo, book quickly as this house is top ranking. Ideal for a family of four/five or for two couples with two queen sized beds.Would like to see a cleaner Cook top. Razor blade unit and cleaning liquid for cook tops would be so useful. Previous stayers haven't respected this area.

Awesome little house, Very Central and very cosy, very quiet and nicely furnished, perfect place for a getaway. Since I have found this place I don't look any further when staying in Taupo. As the title says a lovely home when away from home.

House was nice and comfy, but does need some maintenance outside. Windows need a clean, dirty sills and maybe a good dusting inside as a little musty but might be the old curtains need replacing. Otherwise we had a nice relaxing and comfortable stay. Good location a bit of a longer walk than we wanted.

Family catch up

Came to Taupo for the Berm Buster motorcycle event over 2 days, this was an awesome place to stay, especially the location, and the fact it had a double garage to store the bikes in was a winner for sure. Highly recommend.
