Set on 100 acres and nestled in between beautiful escarpments, this rural sanctuary offers a rare chance to unwind, reconnect with nature, and explore the rugged beauty of the Central Tablelands – all while being just a short drive to the charming towns of Rylstone, Kandos, and Mudgee.

Surrounded by native bush, your neighbours include kangaroos, wallabies, lyrebirds, black cockatoos, crimson rosellas, and even the occasional goanna or echidna. Whether you're sitting by the firepit under the stars, wandering bush trails, or simply enjoying a morning coffee with birdsong, Bough & Burrows is designed for slow, mindful stays.

The home comfortably sleeps 4 adults and 4 children, making it ideal for families or groups. If you require additional temporary bedding options, feel free to reach out – we’re happy to help you plan a comfortable stay. A study is also available, connected with satellite wifi.

Local attractions such as Ferntree Gully (next door!), Rylstone and Mudgee wineries, Rylstone Olive Press and Dunns Swamp are moments away and the proprty is the perfect base for events such as the Rylstone Country Show, Street Feast, Bulla-rama, and the Mudgee Classic provide plenty to explore – or you can simply stay in and savour the stillness.

Bough & Burrows is an off-grid property with a modern solar and battery setup, providing an ample 20kwh of capacity along with gas hot water. A log burner and electric blankets in the master and double room will keep you warm during the cooler months. We use rainwater and provide an initial supply of bottled water to start you off.
