This place is amazing! We loved everything about it. The view is great and the location is so peaceful. Everything we needed was there and so much more !!Communication with the most was great. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

What a Gem!! The cottage is right on Lake Gilead. The Lake itself is beautiful and was super quiet while I was there. The cottage is super cute with a great deck that I sat at every morning and evening. I spent every moment I could in the Kayak that they provided. My Dog loved the field across the street. What a relaxing retreat!! Can’t wait to go back!

The cottage was cute, clean and well stocked. We were in a good location to travel to nearby towns. Neighbors were very friendly. Check-in was easy, and it was great that we could bring our dog along!

Such a great place!

Once I unpacked and sat on the porch, I could feel all the stress fade away! The weather was perfect. Everything was clean and comfortable. Hate having to leave. Will be back for sure!

Absolutely relaxing

The lake is fabulous as is the cottage. Very comfortable with lots of amenities. The porch is absolutely beautiful, sat all weekend from morning til bedtime on the porch or beach. The local cat Frankie was a welcome friendly cat that was fun to see. I can’t wait to stay here again and will love to stay not only the summer but all the seasons would be great!

Peaceful Stay

Do not underestimate the size of this house. It is small but has a perfect layout. Kitchen is equiped and organized with everthing you need. The bathroom is very nice. The two bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable beds. We slept very well during our stay. The living room and dining room provide plenty of space to eat and relax. Spend some time on the deck in the evening or down at the shore for a nice evening camp fire. We will definilty add this house to our vacation schedule next year.

Tranquil

This was my 3rd time staying at Corkage. and every time is better than the last. Brand new fans have been installed in each bedrooms, with pull handles that can be reached by me at my height, and they are very, very quiet; allowing me to control the temperature and lighting. Also, room darkening curtains have been added to each window along with power strips next to each side of the bed for gadget charging.Anti-slip strips have been added to the walk-in shower base. They definitely seem to reduce the slip factor. A large ice maker has been added outside along with another refrigerator, providing plenty of refrigerator storage for longer stays. My companions and I enjoyed the fire side table each night of my visit, the glow, heat and ambience was perfect (with a cocktail) as the evening temperatures are starting to drop. My favorite time at Corkage though, is the mornings, where I take my coffee and toasted sourdough with homemade jelly (from the Welcome Basket) to the deck. It is so quiet except for the cheerful good morning conversations from my neighbors. I can read my book and watch the wildlife on the lake. And those of you wondering, yes sometime Frankie the neighborhood kitty comes by to say “Hi” too. I can’t wait for my 4th visit.

Great cabin. Very clean, amenities were above and beyond. Easy check-in. If you want a nice, quiet, peaceful getaway on the water, this would be perfect. We really enjoyed ourselves. Friendly area and would thoroughly recommend this as a little relaxing time away.
