There is no better way to spend your vacations than with a hip, laid back vibe which is exactly what this exclusive beach house offers. Surround yourself with its energizing tropical atmosphere and stunning views to the Pacific Ocean.

The house is located in Playa Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa/Malpais area), within the mar-A-mar enclosed development project, just 200m away from the main surf point and nicest beach areas in the heart of Santa Teresa Beach.

A VIP concierge will be at your service before and during your stay, assisting with transportation from the airport to Santa Teresa (by plane or car/shuttle) and arranging rentals for ATVs, Rhinos, or 4x4 vehicles, ready at the property’s parking lot. We can also organize private chefs, Yoga and Pilates sessions, surf lessons, massages, and much more!

The location is just perfect! In the heart of Santa Teresa Beaches, steps away from the best surf point known as La Lora, amazing restaurants, cafes, nice shops and supermarkets!



"Nido del Mar" is located midway up the mar-A-mar hill, for this reason the breathtaking views. You can either take the stairs to go up and down or rent a vehicle such as an ATV, Rhino, or car. During the dry season, a regular car is good even though a 4x4 is ideal for fully exploring the natural beauty and attractions Santa Teresa has to offer!

"Nido del Mar" is a 3-bedroom home located on the top floor of a small 4 story condominium. There are 2 bedrooms with king-size beds, 1 with a queen-size bed, and 2 bathrooms. A fully equipped open space kitchen, cozy living room, and a large balcony that connects all the spaces, creating an indoor-outdoor living experience with spectacular views.

Getting around is easy: it’s just a 2-minute walk to the pool, 3 minutes to restaurants and cafes, and 5 minutes to the beach. You can take the stairs to explore, but parking is conveniently located on an upper level, so you will only need to go down one flight of stairs to reach the apartment.

Tastefully decorated and designed by an award-winning Costa Rican architect, this home blends style, comfort, and functionality in a beautiful setting!

We encourage you to rent a 4x 4 car or ATV to discover town and the beauty of the Peninsula.

- Internet: We have fiber optic with 2 different providers so when one service goes down, we have the other as back up!
- Animals & Insects: Get ready to see wildlife in its natural habitat! Howler and white-faced monkeys often pass through the trees next to house, along with iguanas and raccoons! Being in Costa Rica, you might also spot harmless insects like ants, cockroaches or geckos, especially during the rainy season. Don’t worry, this is just part of the tropical environment, not a cleanliness issue!
- Power Outages: Power cuts are common in Santa Teresa and you may experience them during your stay. This is a normal part of the local environment.
- Humidity: Santa Teresa has an average annual relative humidity of 74%, with peaks up to 87% in October and lows around 71% in February. This high humidity can make it difficult for clothes to dry, especially during the rainy season. It’s completely normal for clothing to take longer to dry in these conditions.

Beautiful Art House with a Sensational View

We loved our stay here! This home is a feast for the eyes - an incredible view of the coast and sunsets outside and a wondrous art collection inside. Everywhere you look is amazing. The hosting team was fantastic, helping with our every need, including booking a flight back to San Juan for us. Thank you Lucia and and Valentine! The interior of the home is comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hot water in the home works great, which I can't say for other places we stayed in Costa Rica. We can't wait to come back.

Stunning Pacific views

Our family of five loved our stay here. The house was just as it appeared in the photos with the shared pool nearby. The manager was very responsive on the couple of times that we reached out with questions, and communication was easy. Stunning sunset views from the balcony made it hard to tear ourselves away.

First, the apartment itself is very nice. However, the description is misleading. It is not a 5 minute walk to the beach. It is 15-20 minutes up and down a very steep hill, very difficult to carry a surfboard or anything. Thankfully we rented a 4wd (that could barely make it up the hill). Apartment is not well stocked. No tissues provided, no bath mats/towels to step on after a shower, only one hand towel to share in master bath. Kitchen not well stocked, not even a can opener and items like pots are old with loose handles. No microwave or oven. Just a toaster oven. Just a pitcher of tap water in the refrigerator to welcome us. Cool to lukewarm water for showers most of the time. The worst thing is that we were wrongly accused of a burn mark on a table. None of us in our family smoke or caused this damage. Beware and take videos of everything when you check in. It is a sickening feeling to be wrongly accused and to basically be called liars when we are responsible, respectable people. There is clearly someone else responsible for this- whether it was the prior guests, the cleaning staff or someone else that has access to this unit. So very shocking and disappointing. Nothing like this has ever happened through VRBO for us.

Treetop Abode

The place exceeded expectations. The decor was beautiful and the view was breathtaking. We really enjoyed the sound of the waves. You could hear the ocean clearly since you're so high up and there was no road noise. There are 140 steps to climb if you are walking up and down the hill. We are very active so it did not bother us. If you rent an ATV, you park pretty close and avoid all the stairs. This place is right across from beach once you cross the little road. Close to all the coffee shops and restaurants.

Try nice property

This property is just as advertised. And the team that supports the rental is very responsive and helpful with reservations and bookings. The property is central in ST, and our teenagers could walk to most activities. The outdoor space is lovely and the ac in the bedrooms is effective. Two advisories: the property is on a steep hill, so you need to be fit and able to handle stairs. The parking was somewhat awkward, but that may be temporary (hill starts were needed). Also, cleaning is every other day, and the renters might want to invest in some beach towels (we bought our own, as the ones provided were more like really nice bath towels and we were hesitant to bring them to the beach...but they were great for showering). We would definitely go back to this property as it was just as advertised and the staff was accommodating. Book with confidence.

Unforgettable stay - highly recommended

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful Santa Teresa rental, and I cannot say enough good things about it! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the attention to detail and care that the owner and the property manager Lu put into making their guests feel welcome and comfortable. The rental itself is stunning, with high-end, creative finishes throughout and an unforgettable sunset ocean view. Everything was immaculately clean and well-maintained, and Lu was easily accessible, kind and responsive to any questions I had. The location was also ideal, situated in the Maramar gated community that was just a short walk away from some of the area's best restaurants, shops, and beaches. We loved being able to explore the local area and come back to this peaceful and relaxing retreat at the end of the day. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious home away from home. Lu truly goes above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome and cared for, and I cannot wait to return for another stay in the future. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Beautiful Views in the treetops

As a group of women traveling, our priority was safety and relaxation. This is beautiful house in a gated community and was perfect for our holiday. We rented an ATV golf cart, (Blue Zone Buggy), when we arrived with a rack to securely travel with surfboards to all the various beaches. The roads are really rough. We parked it at the bottom of the hill for the week, as the hill to the house is too steep. Santa Teresa beach, across the street had huge waves when we were there, so we spent most mornings a northern Beach and sunsets at Playa Carmen. We finished each day with cocktails and dinner at a beach restaurant. Good Restaurants are at the bottom of the hill too and there are several grocery stores along the Main Street for morning food. Visit Banana beach for the whole day at the end of your stay - its a special escape with lots of luxuries. (Feels a bit like Ibiza) We booked a boat trip from Montezuma for the day which took us to snorkel and have lunch at an island. (Zuma Tours) Drinks were included and they picked us up and delivered us home too. We also saw a pod of dolphin on our return trip. We highly recommend it, it was the highlight of our trip and incredible value for money! Believe the warnings in previous reviews - the hill is very steep to the house with many steps.

heaven above santa teresa

this is a spectacular property high above santa teresa and out of the hubbub, but still close enough to walk to the beach and restaurants. we used the pool every day and spent plenty of time on the beautiful deck looking out over the ocean; the a/c and fans worked well, bathrooms were excellent and Sofia was a fabulous guide to the best of santa teresa. thank you to the owner and the two hostesses for a terrific, well organized and relaxing stay. we cant wait to return to Mar a Mar and Nido 4

Unforgettable vista with unparalleled hospitality

This is a beautifully-designed property overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We would return in a heartbeat. Valentin and Fabio are attentive, warm, and knowledgeable. The housekeeping is superb. The pool has a cool relaxed vibe and a welcome break from the heat. The property is very secure. Every aesthetic detail of this three bedroom flat is well conceived. The air conditioning, kitchen setup, and bathrooms all work as you would expect in a 5 star accomodation. Fabio is a gifted patient surfing instructor and Valentine takes joy in helping guests make the most of their stay in this beautiful part of Costa Rica.

Amazing. We cannot say enough about the view, the design, the comfort of this home.

If you are coming to Santa Teresa, this condo is a must-stay, assuming you are all in a physical condition to match the steep and long stairway to the top, which--thankfully--we were. (There is a driving route to the top but our car couldn't make it up the hill and it is nerve-wracking in any case.). Park below and walk up for your exercise. The building is called The Nest and this is the unit at the top. You really are in the treetops, looking out at a sweeping ocean view from the spacious and comfortably furnished deck. The ocean is within a walk and you can hear the surf. The house is smartly designed, but everything is also comfortable--not always two things that come together. We loved our stay here and it was hard to get motivated to leave in the morning, once you sit down with a good book. Vanessa was very friendly and helpful with our questions. We hope to come back.
