Romantic Fairytale Boot Shaped Cabin, New Zealand
This boot-shaped cottage is situated in New Zealand and is a fully equipped stand-alone, romantic/fairytale stay. There is a lounge downstairs with a comfy couch in front of the open fire. The kitchenette has tea and coffee making facilities and comes supplied with breakfast goods and welcome biscuits.
The tiled bathroom is equipped with toiletries, towels, a hairdryer and a shower built for two.
Take a few steps up the spiral staircase and you'll find the bedroom with a regal queen-sized bed, dark curtains for late morning rises, and a Juliet balcony with views into the courtyard and across the pond.
The courtyard is a sheltered outdoor space surrounded by a 2.4-hectare fragrant garden, perfect for soaking up the Tasman sunshine or enjoying long evenings of alfresco dining by the fire. Fine Nelson Art, fresh flowers, fruit, a stereo, and no television combine to create a truly romantic scene.
Guests are welcome, even encouraged, to wander the paths of the garden during their stay.
The accommodation is part of the Jester House Estate, a 2.6 hectare wonderland established in 1991 which also has onsite the Jester House café, now only open on Fridays. The café specializes in great food made from the abundant fresh and organic produce of the Nelson region. Amazing beers from the Mussel Inn and wines from Neudorf and Blackenbrook are also available. Both the house and the café are designed as sustainable eco-buildings by using timber beams and earth from the property, which in turn creates a distinctive modern medieval style.
