About this property
The Ninth Door — A Secret Worth Finding.
Imagine Your Stay at The Ninth Door
You arrive in the heart of Hess Village, surrounded by one of Hamilton’s most historic and vibrant neighbourhoods. Restaurants, patios, entertainment and the TD Coliseum are all within walking distance, yet upstairs, something completely different is waiting.
Open the door and, at first, you simply see a beautiful loft.
Warm lighting. Thoughtful design. Comfortable spaces. Historic views of the Scottish Rite. Everything feels considered but not overdone.
Put your bags down. Pour a glass of wine. Make an espresso. Connect your music to the custom sound system and choose the lighting that fits the evening.
Then you begin to notice things.
A detail that seems slightly out of place.
A door you hadn't noticed before.
Something that makes you wonder…
Is that supposed to be there?
That is when The Ninth Door begins to reveal itself.
This is not an escape room with a timer ticking in the background. There is no pressure to solve anything. The experience is simply woven into your stay, waiting for you whenever curiosity takes over.
Look closer.
Follow a clue.
Open something you might normally walk past.
One discovery leads to another and suddenly the place you booked for the weekend becomes something entirely different.
There are hidden spaces, secret doors, unexpected passages and little mysteries tucked throughout the loft. Some discoveries are easy. Others might have you thinking, laughing and looking at the room in an entirely new way.
And somewhere within it all waits The Ninth Door.
What is behind it?
We could tell you.
But that would ruin the fun.
The best part is that you decide how much of The Ninth Door you want to experience.
Maybe your perfect evening is simply dinner for two, music playing softly, the lights turned low and the Scottish Rite glowing outside your window.
Maybe you gather around the dining table with friends, open a bottle of wine and decide you're going to uncover every secret in the place.
Or perhaps you climb the ladder and discover the hidden loft, then disappear for an hour with a book, stretch out for some yoga or simply enjoy having found your own little retreat above the retreat.
The next morning, wake slowly.
From bed, open the automated blinds and take in the view without getting up. Wander over to your private espresso, coffee and tea bar and make your first cup of the day.
No rush.
Make breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen. Take a long shower beneath the oversized rain head, surrounded by multiple sprays and ambient LED lighting, then step onto heated floors.
Later, head outside.
Summer in Hess Village is literally steps from your door. Wander the neighbourhood, find a patio, enjoy dinner or drinks, catch a concert or event at the nearby TD Coliseum or The First Ontario Concert Hall and experience the energy of downtown Hamilton.
Then walk home.
No long drive.
No ordinary hotel corridor.
Just back upstairs to your own private world.
Turn on the fireplace. Put on some music. Dim the lights. Sink into the living room and watch a movie on the large LG television or forget the television entirely and continue exploring.
Because by now, you may have realized something:
The Ninth Door rewards curiosity.
We intentionally haven't revealed everything in the photographs or description. We want there to be moments during your stay that genuinely surprise you.
