The apartment is right in the center of Levanto,
directly in front of the public park 'Piazza Staglieno' (children's playground) in an antique apartment building in the historic old town. The apartment was completed in mid-August 2009 (complete renovation). It is located on the 1st floor from the park side, but is accessible from a rear entrance without stairs.
It consists of a large bedroom with air conditioning and an extra bed (17sqm), a bathroom with shower that is accessible from both the living room and the bedroom, a large living room with a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, if desired German) , Coffee machine, electric oven and gas stove). The apartment is located on a traffic-calmed street. The sofa is a comfortable (new) sofa bed for 2 people, also satellite TV and DVD player.

Perfect Stay Once Again

It seems amazing to be back at this amazing flat for the 5th time. We stayed a month, only a few days did we have barely a drizzle of rain which quickly dissolved to those beautiful bright blue skies. I’ve posted so many accolades before and it still remains the perfect holiday flat. Let me list the things that make Levanto and this particular flat so perfect. Amazing owner Ulla who is always immediately available if you have a question, location couldn’t be better, walk out the door you will find a bakery, focaccia bake, meat market, small grocery, gelato , fresh pasta store. Levanto has amazing restaurants that serve pizza to delicious pasta and fresh fish. Everything a super short walk. The beach with the ability to rent lounge and umbrella. There are also bars on the beach and wondering massages right by the sea. My husband had manyy hikes to take and flat areas around the town where I could walk easier. Boats or train or hikes to the Ciqueterre. These now have become so crowded you will feel a release to be back for a rest on the comfortable bed or sofa. We love opening the windows and listening to the rhythm of lives of those fortunate to live here. If it bothers you simply close the windows and the sounds are gone. So enough said but we will be back to Ulla’s Sun and Sea flat as soon as possible!

Excellent location

Very nice, modern apartment in the heart of town. Just steps from many excellent places to eat and the beach is just across the very active city park. We loved staying in Levanto and visiting the towns of the Cinque Terre from there. It is a short train ride away and much quieter to stay in Levanto. I would come back here again.

One Wonderful Week in Levanto

We are Canadian travellers who spent a week in Ulla's apartment as part of our six week travels throughout Italy and Spain. This apartment exceeded our expectations in so many ways but most important was the caring and thoughtful treatment that we received from Ulla. Not only did she spend time with us in the town pointing out shops and restaurants and bike rental locations she was extremely helpful with suggesting train travel from Milan for our friend who was arriving from Canada. The apartment had everything needed for making ones stay most comfortable and was certainly spotless and tidy. Watching the daily hustle and bustle of the town's people in the square and park outside our window provided us with many enjoyable evenings all while sipping some fine Italian wine. We enjoyed our bike ride and walks along the ocean bike trail to Bonassola (a good spot for a cappuccino). Hiking from Levanto to Monterosso is spectacular and you can continue on to Vernazza if you wish. A hiking trail from behind the hospital also leads to beautiful scenery and a less busy trail. This is definitely the place to stay as a base for visiting the Cinque Terre towns which can be overly busy with tourists. We hope to return to Levanto and stay at Ulla's apartment in the near future. We have also recommended this location to friends interested in travelling to this area.

It just could not get better!

After my second stay here, over a month, I just did not want to leave. You will read in other reviews similar accolades but this place is perfect! It is like having a home fully equipped and comfortable and relaxing. They say location is everything and this flat and town has it. The villages of the Cinque Terre are so crowded now that after a brief view or hike you will relish opening your door here back home. Enjoy the sounds of Italian life from the park, steps away you can shop for local fresh pasta, meat, vegetables, and come back and cook an amazing meal in the super well stocked kitchen. Ulla has made this flat more then comfortable, lovely, bright, relaxing and calming. Truly steps from beach, no crowds like other Italian villages, yet all easily accessible without a car. Amazing restaurants, affordable prices, and the best hostess, Ulla. All this and more make this a six star! You will love it!

SO PERFECT I AM COMING BACK!

There is no better compliment of a place then to count the days until you can return. That is what I have been doing since my month stay in 2014 in this amazing flat, in a fantastic down, in a scrumptious country. All us travel junkies say, "this is great we have to come back." How often do we do it though? There is always a new draw, to the personally unexplored lands. A diagnosis of cancer in my early 50's, gave me a good old "smack up side the head" (wonder how Google translate will explain that one!) It made me see that if you have a big dream and can; do it now. Forget waiting, just do it, live and breath and enjoy the moment cause who knows what those annual screenings may show. Give up on those excuses and go. This town and this wonderful apartment with the most caring land lord is the bomb. So fantastic that I really am coming back and I can't wait to get off the train and see Ulla waiting for me. (You better be careful cause I am coming with a GREAT BIG hug for you!) Even better than the photos!

My family and I stayed here for a week. It was so much bigger and nicer than the photos led us to believe! The apartment is beautifully restored. We were right in the middle of the town center, and directly across from the play ground, which was perfect for our two young daughters. My husband and I spent most evenings drinking wine and eating delectable snacks at one of the adjoining outdoor cafes while watching them play on the trampoline. The beach really was just two minutes walk away, and we spent par t of every day there - there was plenty of free beach access. We were also just a few steps from great restaurants, shopping, live music, medieval castle and church and lots more! Levanto was pleasantly uncrowded - so glad we decided to use this as our home base, and not stay in one of the Cinque Terre towns, which were much more tourist-trap like. Thank you!

A Dream come true!

I stayed at this property for the entire month. The place is too good to be true! Very large, equipped with every thing to cook, I had to try to find something the apartment needed, no luck! It had everything. If you want to smell fresh croissants baking, blending with fresh bread,hear sounds of Italian life, have all you need a few steps away, a place you can feel at home, an owner who works hard to make you comfortable and is the sweetest lady on the planet, a stroll across a beautiful park only few steps from the sea, and amazing food choices,a great cafe out your door, a comfortable bed, and sleeper sofa. Grocery, bakery, fresh pasta maker, meat market, cafe and gelato outside your front door. It is the place. Levanto has so much more to offer without the crowds of the 5. I didnt want to share my little secret flat but how could I not share heaven. Train is a short 10 minute walk, super bike trail, all the hiking you could want, almost no car or vespas, but everyone bikes or walks. If you are considering this place, look no further, you will agree. When you step outside and get your 1 EU coffee at the Cafe Bridgita,ask Aga to show you her paintings, a treasure. She will paint one just for you! Thanks Ulla for sharing your lovely place with me.

Wonderful!

Our family (with a 2 years old kid and a four-months baby) stayed one week at this apartment! It was amazing! I would strongly recommend this place : it was impeccable. It was clean, especially large, modern, we had everything we need for cooking. Moreover, it was perfectly located : 2 minutes walk from the beach, in the heart of Levanto, and right in front of the park (perfect for the kids!). Mrs Nicora picked us up at the train station (5 minutes after I called her), helped us with our luggages, take the time needed to answer our questions : she was so kind. The best host ever! Hope I will have the chance to return!

Séjour parfait Ursula

Nous sommes venus pour passer 4 jours et 3 nuits au Cinque Terre pour randonner de Levanto à Riomaggiore.Nous souhaitions idéalement être en dehors de Cinque Terre et Levanto nous paraissait le bon endroit pour rentrer tous les soirs en train après notre marche.Ursula nous a très bien conseillé et a été au petit soin avec nous par message puis à notre arrivée au logement. Nous avons eu d’excellents échanges et a beaucoup apprécié mon fils Thomas. C’était son anniversaire et elle nous a aidé à trouver un excellent restaurant qui lui a mis une bougie sur son dessert et tout le monde a chanté. Ursula est vraiment une personne merveilleuse et je vous recommande 1000 fois ce logement si vous venez dans la région et pour notre part, nous retournons les yeux fermés chez Ursula si l’occasion se présente.La chambre est plus que spacieuse avec un très grand lit et mon fils à profité du canapé dépliant et très grand aussi (très confortable) dans la pièce de vie. La salle de bains est accessible par la chambre en directe pour ne pas réveiller la personne qui dort au salon et depuis le salon pour ne pas passer par la chambre.Personnellement nous n’avons pas trouvé le quartier brouillant une fois les fenêtres fermées malgré les restaurants autour.La gare est à 10 à 15min à pieds, idéal pour rejoindre les Cinque Terre facilement.Merci encore à Ursula

Zentral und geräumig

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in Levanto. Die Wohnung liegt super zentral und hat wirklich alles was man in einer Ferienwohnung irgendwie benötigen kann. Check In verlief ohne Probleme, die Vermieterin ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Am Wochenende kann es im Schlafzimmer laut sein wenn es Musik auf dem Platz davor gibt das hat uns aber nur eine Nacht wirklich betroffen. Levanto ist als Ausgangspunkt für die Cinque Terre sehr zu empfehlen, wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen!

Tolle Ferienwohnung, nette Gastgeberin

Die Ferienwohnung ist wie beschrieben, perfekt ausgestattet, sehr sauber und hat ein super Bett. Die Lage ist im Zentrum perfekt, alles ist in kurzer Distanz erreichbar. Unter der Woche war es sehr ruhig, am Wochenende war mehr Leben auf der Straße, was uns aber nicht gestört hat. Sehr nette Gastgeberin, Empfehlenswert!

Sehr schöne Wohnung in Levanto

Schöne Wohnung, top ausgestattet, sehr nette Begrüßung und Einweisung durch die Vermieterin. Auch im Vorfeld schon guter Kontakt mit den wichtigsten Infos zur Anreise. Einstellen muss man sich lediglichdarauf, dass die Wohnung am vor allem am Wochenende belebtesten Platz von Levanto liegt. Aber dafür hat man Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Strand quasi vor der Haustür.

Appartamento in pieno centro

Appartamento molto bello, in posizione centrale vicino a tutte le strutture e al mare. L’appartamento è al primo piano proprio sopra ad un’attività di ristorazione, nella casa quindi entra continuamente odore di fritto. Purtroppo, essendo nella piazza principale, ci sono schiamazzi notturni veramente fastidiosi anche sino a notte fonda, peccato.

Ideal location

Ursula is a very welcoming host. The location of the flat is ideal to enjoy the beach and the bar/restaurants nearby and is near the station (13 min walk) - perfect to visit the Cinque Terre. The flat itself is really nice and comfortable. World recommend in a heartbeat !

Urlaub in Levanto

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Ortschaft Levanto sehr genossen. Der Ort ist also Ausgangspunkt optimal, um die Cinque Terre zu erwandern. Die Wohnung liegt zentral im Ortskern, alle relevanten Punkte (Strand, Fußgängerzone, Einkaufsläden etc.) sind zu Fuß sehr gut zu erreichen. Der Support durch die Vermieterin ist optimal. Wir wurden bei Ankunft gleich persönlich in Empfang genommen, durften die Parkkarte benutzen und die sehr nette aus Deutschland stammende Vermieterin war auch per Whatsapp jederzeit erreichbar. Toll. Durch die zentrale Lage der Wohnung konnte man den Geräuschpegel der Fußgängerzone noch bis tief in die Nacht hinein hören - aber es gibt zu zum Glück Oropax.
