About this property

Located in the middle of the most beautiful cultural landscapes of Maramures

After more than twenty years, our guest house has an excellent reputation and is often visited by vacationers from Central European countries. And not least because of our tasty cuisine, which we offer on request and on special occasions.
Our visitors are happy to accept the offer to undertake exciting tours with us. The day hike up to a hidden Ruthenian minority mountain village has become particularly popular. The subsequent dinners (please contact us beforehand) in the pavilion will remain an unforgettable memory for most of our visitors.
The house is lovingly and richly decorated with traditional elements and provided with the necessary utensils. They have a living space of 80 square meters, two bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, a bathroom with bath / shower and a glazed terrace. One bedroom has satellite TV (HD) connection. On neighboring farms you will be able to admire real rural life, which not only appeals to the children of our guests. We are very familiar with the lives of local people. The host made them the subject of his documentaries and novels. The documentaries about life in the Maramures have been awarded film prizes across Europe and inspire a growing audience.

Tiefenentspannung in der Natur

Es ist ein wunderschönes Anwesen mitten in üppiger Natur, wobei der grosse Garten bei aller Üppigkeit auch sehr gepflegt ist. Wanderwege gehen direkt von der Haustür weg. Florentina und Björn sind als Gastgeber so aufmerksam, dass man das Gefühl hat, bei Freunden zu Gast zu sein. Die Kommunikation läuft ab der ersten Anfrage besonders rasch und unkompliziert. Mit kleinen Videohäppchen des Dokumentarfilmers Björn wird man schon vor Antritt der Reise in die richtige Stimmung gebracht. Dass das Haus sehr sauber ist und alles hat, was man benötigt, erscheint unter diesem Umständen fast nicht mehr erwähnenswert, weil es so viele andere Gründe zum Schwärmen gibt. Dieses Schmuckstück unter den Ferienhäusern ist also vorbehaltlos zu empfehlen.

Zu Gast in Maramures

Wir buchten ein Haus als Ausgangstation für unsere ersten Rumänienerkundungen. Und wir fanden alles wie beschrieben vor. Das Grundstück ist wie auf den Bildern mit Herz und Seele eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung ist nicht spärlich auf das nötigste reduziert, sondern wie eine echte Wohnung beseelt und ausgestattet. Und dann der Hammer. Björn und Florentina sind ein Schatz an Herzlichkeit, Lebenserfahrung und Humor. Wir haben uns eher wie befreundete Gäste gefühlt, denn Mieter. Selbst die Kinder sind hinter ihren Geräten hetvorgekommen, um mit Björn Hasch- mich oder Boule zu spielen und mit den beiden am Feuer zu sitzen. Echt jedem zu empfehlen.

Nice place to wind down from it all

The house is mainly made of wood and is cozy inside out. There are two other homes on the lot, but privacy is guaranteed. The garden is wonderful, next to a stream and surrounded by woods and fields with flowers. No sounds except the occasional car that passes on the unpaved road nearby (you need to drive about 15’ on a somewhat bumpy road, which adds to the isolated charm of the place). There are plenty of hikes to do, starting from the house, or from anywhere nearby, really. The surroundings are wonderful, with mountains and valleys all over. The only pity is that the otherwise friendly locals tend to litter a bit. The owners of the house are really nice and friendly. We would go back anytime. But next time with mountain bikes!

Erholung pur

Es war ein wunderschöner entspannter Urlaub in einer einfach traumhaften Umgebung. Das Grundstück lud uns ein nicht nur die Beine baumeln zu lassen, sondern auch die Seele. Kleine schöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung wurden abgerundet von einer tollen Wanderung (mit dir Björn). Insgesamt nur zu empfehlen. Kuss und Gruß

Ein Paradies auf Erden

Wir waren länger hier als geplant. Einfach, weil es so schön war. Björn und Florentina haben hier ein Paradies für Gäste geschaffen. Die Wohnungen sind wunderbar eingerichtet, der Garten ist herrlich. Mit Feuerstelle, Pavillon und viel Platz für die Kinder zum Spielen. Die beiden sind wunderbar gastfreundlich und wissen so viel über Land und Leute. Ein optimaler Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Maramures!

A most pleasing house among friendly people

This is a very nice house located in quiet surroundings, clean and with all reasonable facilities, including a rural garden. The owners are friendly and can provide lots of fascinating information on the local geography and culture. The place is a good starting point for hikes in Maramures and Rodna Mountains, and these are definitely worth seeing, as are the old churhces in the region. Local produce (cheese, honey) can be bought easily and is very good. Road access is very good, except the last few kilometres that should be considered an off-road experience. A very nice holiday!

Traumhaft!

Mit dem Töff nach Rumänien! Das war unsere Ferienreise 2012. sie führte uns zu Björn und Valentina. Schon vorher kam es zu einem sehr netten mailkontakt. Als wir dann müde ankamen, wurden wir herzlichst begrüsst. Wir fanden ein Ensemble einfacher, aber liebevoll und sehr ästhetisch renovierter und eingerichteter Gebäude vor! Wie oft verwendet mal die Floskel " Seele baumeln lassen" wohl? Hier kann man es geschehen lassen. Zeit, Sorgen, Stress... das alles schüttelt man auf den rund drei Kilometer gut fahrbarem Schotterweg von der Hauptstrasse ins Weintal ab. Dann noch die herzliche und unkomplizierte Gastfreundschaft sowie das fantastische Essen im Pavillon... toll. Hier ist man nicht nur Kunde, sondern willkommener Gast. Diesen Sommer wird mich mein Weg wieder ins Weintal führen! Bis bald, ihr Zwei! Ach ja, Björns Dokumentarfilme geben einen intensiven und unverstelltenEinblick in das soziale Gefüge der Menschen, die in und von den Maramures leben. Ohne Kitsch oder mahnenden Zeigefinger. Absolut lohnenswert!
