My family of two adults and two teenagers recently stayed at The House Saint-Dye sur Loire. The home was exceptionally clean, full of wonderful antiques from the region, and decorated beautifully for Christmas. The owners have created a charming upscale oasis in a traditional small town home. There are four bedrooms, two with queen beds, and two with twin beds. All beds were very comfortable and the rooms have lovely decor. The large living room has a gorgeous antique armoire full of games, foosball table, large comfortable sofa, and television with Netflix. The kitchen is large and has all appliances and dishes necessary. There are two large bathrooms, one on each floor. The upper bathroom has a large tub with shower. The lower bathroom has a large shower and washing machine and dryer. Parking is directly out front. It is a 5 minute drive to Chambord and about a 45 minute drive to Cheverny and 1 hour to Chenonceaux, We selected this location because we needed easy assess to Paris and Orly airport for an early am departure. We couldn't have been more pleased. The home is in a small charming village with a boulangerie and quaint streets to stroll. Dining was a bit tricky during the winter. A lot of restaurants were closed or required advance reservations. Peter, the owner, kindly texted me a list of local eateries. Dine early and call ahead. A supermarket is nearby.
The owners were wonderful and waited for us when we had an unexpected luggage problem. We loved this home!
