Contemporary Remodel in Old Town Scottsdale!
This great room plan was completely remodeled a few years ago. It's located on the first floor (no steps) in a community called Los Cuatros, and has a lush, private patio.
The Los Cuatros complex was built in 1966 as a real estate investment for The Brothers Four, a vocal group that was popular during the same folk era that produced Peter, Paul and Mary, Dylan, The Kingston Trio et al. Those old enough to be eligible for Social Security may remember their 1960 hit, Greenfields. In fact, rumor has it that the royalties earned from that song were what built the complex.
This classically beautiful Spanish stucco style community was originally designed by Bennie Gonzales, the innovative architect credited with having transformed the overall image of the City of Scottsdale in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. In fact, Gonzales designed most of Scottsdale’s major municipal buildings including Scottsdale City Hall, the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and the Civic Center Library. He’s also responsible for the Heard Museum in Central Phoenix.
