Balboa Island Àr en absolut juvel i mitten av Newport Bay. Det finns en 1. 6 mil gÄngvÀg runt omkretsen och en charmig tvÄ kvarter huvudgatan med unika butiker och fina och casual dining, bokstavligen runt hörnet! Min stuga Àr mycket inbjudande. Har en innergÄrd med utomhus öppen spis. Det finns ett sovrum med tvÄ badrum och ett separat sovande omrÄde utanför i vardagsrummet. Perfekt för tvÄ eller en liten familj. Det Àr möjligt att sova en extra person pÄ enkelsÀng storlek soffa. Centralt belÀget mellan Los Angeles och San Diego. Perfekt för dagsutflykter.

OmrÄdet Àr mycket avslappnad. Detta Àr en populÀr destination sÄ det finns en hel del aktivitet som gör gÄrden en vÀlkommen retrÀtt. Mitt hem Àr en gata bort frÄn huvudgatan. Det Àr sÄ mycket pittoreska! Det finns en stor blandning av gamla stranden hus och nya exklusiva konstruktion. Det Àr en mycket förmögen omrÄde med ned till jorden invÄnare.

BTW, medan jag föredrar betalning med check som det finns inga avgifter, lÄt mig veta om du vill ha ett annat alternativ!

Instant Vacation Vibes

The cottage gives out vacation vibes from the minute you enter the courtyard. Location can’t be beat- park your car and walk everywhere. We can’t wait to return!

Incredible Location

Really enjoyed the property, only one block from town center, but still quiet and private. Comfortable and stocked with everything you need. Parking was provided which really made a difference. Highly Recommend

Everything about our stay was excellent. Accurate description. Clean. Well furnished and supplied. Communication with Jill was easy and pleasant and check in was as easy as can be. The location was great. Short walk to everything. We Would love to come again.

Beautiful Retreat

This was the first time I had rented on VRBO. Jill’s rental is just amazing
 darling, clean, a block from the bay and main street, and a perfect hidden courtyard. Jill was fantastic and so helpful. I don’t want to leave this perfect oasis. If you are looking for a perfect spot in Balboa, this is the place!

Charming retreat...

The property was old school, comfortable and charming. My only suggestion is that the next door neighbor please turn off the very bright outdoor light she has on right outside the bedroom window which floods the bedroom with light all night despite the black out shade and prevents sleep. Or perhaps she could install a motion detector light which would easily solve the issue. Other then that it's a lovely and private abode.

Best Place to Stay on Balboa Island!

Do you want the ease and low-stress of checking-in and out? To be close to shops and restaurants? Jill's guest home is the place to stay! Without hesitation, I recommend staying here. My son (17 yr old) and I stayed here for his spring break vacation, to enjoy the California sun, vibe, and chill. This home was everything we needed. Jill makes sure you have an easy check-in, by having the home ready for you. She is quick to respond to texts if you need assistance. The house has all the necessities to make your meals. The home is quaint, comfortable, and classic coastal feel with terra cotta floors, stained glass windows, open air with patio that flows into the home. It is quite comfortable. Jill also provides you with a place to park, which is much needed as the streets are all usually full for blocks on end. The house is less than a block from all the walking you could do to visit the water front, yacht club, shops, and restaurants. My son and I loved being here and we plan to visit again! Two thumbs up, 5 stars, whatever the highest rating possible, I would give it here! Enjoy your stay and tell Jill that we said 'hi".

The PERFECT home!

There are just so many wonderful things to share about this property, I don't know where to start. Let's begin with the owner. She was so responsive to my many pre-visit questions & kind enough to allow me to preview her home while I was on another trip to CA. This home is amazing! From the moment you enter the courtyard, you'll be hooked & it only gets better once you step inside. The home is quite large, especially for 2 people. I LOVED that there were 3 different doors that opened on to your quiet, beautiful & private patio. The closets are huge, the washer/dryer a real plus, the bedroom had such a comfortable bed & plenty of drawer space. The master bath so quaint with breathtaking Spanish tile throughout, even in the sink! Lots of towels & a cute counter just outside the small step in shower stall. The living room was so beautifully decorated. You could just get swallowed up by the comfy couch. A table & chairs for 4 was at one end of the living room & at the other end was a high top table & more chairs. Side chairs & a lounger sat near the fireplace. The very large flat screen TV, although not HDMI equipped was great. There was a 2nd bathroom at the far end of the living room which rarely was used but so nice to have. ALL of the decor in this home is wonderful & so rich looking. Be sure to read the saying on the plaque in the 2nd bathroom. The kitchen had everything including a HUGE pantry filled to the brim with spices, oils & other items. The frig had a water purifier, which was so nice. My absolute favorite thing of all was the Dutch door from the kitchen to the small walkway you took to the garage where the washer/dryer was or the other direction for the trash containers. I love stained glass & her home is accented by it perfectly. Parking can be very tight on Balboa Island but fortunately, we were able to park in the same space every day, largely because of our owner. This darling home is located only 1 block off the main st on the island so you can step around the corner to Starbucks if you like or try Wilma's Patio for breakfast. Shops & more restaurants line both sides of the main street. Traffic can back up a little using the only street that leads in/out of the island but it is SO worth it. You can walk everywhere! Several mornings I walked around the entire island including the island extension. Homes are beautiful & everyone is so friendly. Grocery is close, Javier's-yum,Chang's @ Fashion Island! Owner always there if needed!

Enchanted Onyx was the perfect location for my birthday weekend and the wedding we attended in Newport Beach. Conveniently located on the island close to shopping, dining, delightful coffee. Jill is a very kindhearted, compassionate host just a text away with any questions. Well supplied kitchen. Peaceful courtyard. Highly recommend!!! We will be back

Wonderful location very nearby the shops and restaurants of Balboa Island. Jill was very responsive and friendly. I really appreciated being able to park my full sized Tundra as parking on Balboa can be very difficult.

OMG!!

This cottage is amazing. The photos don't do it justice. They don't show the beauty and peaceful atmosphere here. I am 69 and went on a sabbatical alone. It is so peaceful and quiet. Having tea in the morning in the Courtyard was amazing. It has a fully stocked kitchen. I can't wait to cook in it next time. It's walking distance to everything. Grocery stores, restaurants, etc are all within a couple blocks walk. The people are very friendly. It has been years since I traveled alone for work. I was apprehensive about going out to dinner alone as it had been over 30 years. One day I had an early dinner at the Village Inn. Two lovely elderly women at the next table put me more at ease with a little chat. As I watched people come and go each greeting others with hugs, kind words and laughter I wished I ventured out earlier. Jill is such a wonderful host. She has a binder with information for activities available locally. I ordered delivery from a Chinese Restuarant. I was finally ready to venture out off the Island. I called a Lyft to a place called Javier's on PCH. The food was amazing, the tequila selection was outstanding. I was like a kid in the candy store. I wish I would have taken the ferry to Newport Beach Rockin' Baja Lobster. One of my favorite SoCal Restaurants. This was my first stay on the Island. I usually stay in Newport Beach and ferry to the island. Never again. I'm trying to coordinate my next stay. Next time I'll be sharing my vacation with my husband.

One of the best!!!

We have been visiting Balboa Island yearly for 16 years, this was one of our favorite places. Quiet and peaceful. Easy walk to town and the bay. Home was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. In case you can’t tell, we loved everything about this property. Plan to return again soon.

A Lovely Quiet Cottage on Beautiful Balboa Island

Jill is a wonderful host: available, attentive and helpful! The cottage is in a great location on Balboa Island, close to the main street with restaurants, shops, Balboa Bars and Frozen Bananas :-). It was great fun to be on the Island when the Newport Beach Boat Parade was happening each evening; we loved strolling around the Island to watch the boats and see all the beautiful homes decorated for Christmas. A lovely stay in a lovely place!
