The condo is in a beautiful area. The condo is in great shape and has a lot of room. There is a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. There are many beach items in the garage for use at the nearby beach.

Kolea Condo with a beautiful view

The condo was lovely with an amazing view of the grounds and ocean. Close to pool. Lots of room inside the condo and an amazing, comfortable kLanai!We had a few issues that were handled quickly and efficiently by a “handy man” that was great! The condo was a great place to spend a month!

Beautiful property, easy access to pool and beach

My husband, kids and in-laws all stayed in this gorgeous three bedroom. It was well appointed, had everything we needed, and had very easy access to both a pool and beach at A-bay. The owner was very responsive to any questions, I would definitely recommend.

The Most Wonderful Vacation

The condo was beautiful, spacious, and simply WONDERFUL. The location was beyond perfect. We walked to the beach, pool, Kings and Queens Marketplace, Hilton, etc. We loved our stay and could not have selected a better place. The condo had everything we needed, including a wonderful lanai (with an ocean view), all necessary items for the beach, etc. I am very picky and put a lot of research into this trip. I could not have found a more wonderful place. It was a trip to remember. Thank you to the owner!!! PS. We all slept well, as the beds were so comfortable.

Best views & amenities

We absolutely LOVED staying at this property!! The location on the island and within the resort was just perfect, and the amenities (pool and local beach) were wonderful. A few minor annoyances with the appliances/fixtures were easily overlooked with the ocean views, tons of space, and gorgeously appointed condo! We had a most amazing 10-day stay with our two school-aged kiddos and my mom (whose first trip to Hawaii was a smashing success)!

Great location, great setup

Luxurious setup with a lot of amenities. Great location near the beach and activities. Included little things that help make the vacation great - a cooler, nice kitchen with cooking pots, pans, utensils, cutting boards, spices. A great garage with boogie boards, beach chairs, bikes, beach toys and some snorkeling gear.

Outstanding. Beautiful property

Great location and a beautiful property. The property manager was easy to contact and was very responsive to questions about the penthouse and the amenities. Excellent access to the beach, a wonderful pool that the grandchildren loved and easy walking distance to Queen's Marketplace and Kings Shops. We appreciated the property manager allowing us a very late checkout for an additional reduced rate on the final day as we had a late flight out that evening.

Big Island Love

This was our 6th time staying in the Kolea Landing condos and in this bock of units. 2F was great and a perfect place to bring new friends to the island. We had some minor issues with the AC but the property manager was on it fast and took care of the issue. Sitting out on the lanai and watching the sun come up is our favorite thing about this floorplan and the walks around A-Bay and the fish ponds is a daily treat.

Perfect setting

This property is very nice for a family get away. Pool area easy to access with plenty of seating. Third bedroom has two twin beds and very small bathroom. If sharing with three couples one couple would have a very different experience. Mattresses in this room a little tired. The balcony is amazing with a beautiful breeze. Amenities were terrific. Shared lots of small items so you didn’t have to worry about little things like paper towels etc.

Nice condo near pool and beach

The condo building and interior were excellent. Location is a short walk to the pool, and just a bit further beyond the pool to the beach. The beach was good for swimming / bobbing. It wasn't good for snorkeling or boogie boarding but maybe the waves were just low when we went. My only complaint is that the twin beds are absolutely terrible. They are not suitable for anyone but children. My 36 year old brother chose to sleep on the couch instead of that bed.

Amazing Views from the Large Lanai

We really enjoyed our stay in Aug 2022. The property is as advertised - well decorated and well appointed. The unit is large with plenty of room for 6 people. The Lanai was fantastic - we cooked and ate out there regularly and enjoyed the spectacular sunsets over the ocean every evening. The kitchen was well equipped, and there were everything form bikes to beach gear in the garage. We loved the Kolea complex with a great pool and beach club, nice paths along the ocean for walking and access to a beautiful large beach in front of the Marriott. The Queens and Kings shopping malls were within walking distance (or a very short drive) as were the restaurants at the Marriott and the Hilton. We'll definitely be back!

Generally lovely

Generally it was lovely. We had to adjust sleeping arrangements due to listing of two double beds which in fact were two single beds. Also one of the king beds squeaked so loudly that it could be heard with every movement of the occupant. Other minor issues: half of the toaster was unuseable and ice did not come out of the ice maker. Despite issues, we had a wonderful time.

Thank you for your feedback. I only wish you would have informed me of the toaster and ice maker, I would have had them immediately replaced. In response to the beds, we have an occupancy limit of six people so it seems as though you surpassed that number and neglected to inform us. I hope otherwise you enjoyed your stay.

Great Place, Location with great host

Our family of 4 and our friend family of 5 stayed at this location for 7 days, 6 nights. Location, place and amenities are all great. Our kids enjoyed the pool a lot, which is short walking distance from the condo. Also the view from the balcony, you can see Hawaiian sunset every evening from there. By far the best Vrbo property we stayed in and we travel a lot. Our host Barry was great, He was very responsive. I went to the wrong building ( the one right next to it ) on one day and he came out quickly to the property to help me get into the property quick. Also our flight was delayed by over 4 hour and Barry allowed us to stayed extra hours so that our kids can enjoy the pool one last time. I would come back and stay here again in the Future! Thank you.

Waikoloa Wonder

Well-kept and spacious property for our group of 5 adults (Mom/Dad and 3 kids in their 20s). We loved hanging out on the patio enjoying BBQ dinners and views! Barry is a super responsive and helpful host. The really nice club/pool/fitness/hot tub and beach are a 5 minute walk away. Just a bit further to the Marriott resort and Lava Lava Beach Club for those umbrella drinks at sunset! Pro tips: Lava Lava doesn't take resy's and the wait list can be 2 hours on busy nights. Text them early. Highly recommend Ocean Sports for whatever adventures or gear rentals you need beyond what Barry's place doesn't have (and it has a lot). Easy locale for shopping and exploring nearby hikes and other beaches, yet a perfect place to park yourself and enjoy. Mahalo!

Pretty Property, Bad Beds

The property was outstanding overall. The kitchen appliances and supplies were top notch as were the bathrooms and laundry room. In addition to these pluses, the location, the building and the beach club amenities were just as impressive making for a wonderful experience. The one area needing improvement is the quality of the beds and mattresses. The twin beds were not anchored to the headboard so they slid easily. The secondary king bed was very creaky and seemed worn. The master king matress sagged on the side forcing me to the center of the bed to get comfortable. Since these are not quick fixes, we did not want to disrupt our stay by complaining during our rental period. We managed okay and suggest that the beds be upgraded to match the high level of the rest of the condo as soon as possible.
