The Space:

Unit 1105 at the SunDestin Beach Resort offers a truly relaxing vacation getaway, located just steps from the sugar-white sands of the Gulf of Mexico in the heart of Destin, FL. The Scenic Stays team is available 24 hours a day to assist you via our front desk.



With an array of exciting on-site amenities, SunDestin Beach Resort offers a picture-perfect accommodation for your next beach vacation. This family-friendly condo features a newly renovated outdoor pool, as well as an outdoor hot tub. Exercise in the fitness room, grab a souvenir or a coffee from the gift shop, or rent a complimentary DVD for a family movie night. The spacious conference room is the ideal accommodation for your next event or meeting. Additional seasonal amenities include an outdoor tiki bar, as well as beach chair and umbrella rentals (fee).



Upon entering SunDestin 1105, you will experience a true home away from home. To the left of the entrance is a spacious master bedroom with a king bed and a mounted flat-screen television. The bathroom is accessible from both the bedroom and the hallway. Down the hall, the fully equipped kitchen provides the perfect space for making home-cooked meals or quick snacks to enjoy at the beach. Enjoy your favorite meal at the dining table, seating up to four guests. Step into the spacious living room featuring a large flat-screen television, DVD player and comfortable seating, ideal for unwinding with your loved ones after a long day of soaking up the sun on the beach or exploring all that Destin has to offer.



Panoramic gulf-front views of the Gulf of Mexico welcome you from the balcony, with seating for four. Sip on your morning coffee while listening to the tranquil sounds of the waves in the morning and experience an unforgettable view of the sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico in the evening. This lovely one-bedroom, eleventh-floor vacation rental offers cozy sleeping options for up to four people with a large king bed in the master bedroom along with a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.



Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.



Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

Upon arrival, check in was a quick and easy process. We stayed in Room # 1105, 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath with a balcony overlooking the pool area down below and the private beach for Sundestin guests. Our room was clean and cozy feeling. The A/C in this room was the best! We like cold and it definitely worked for us. This is a building that was built in the 80's and renovations have been ongoing for 2 years. It seems as if the biggest part was complete during our stay this week. No loud noises, as people have stated in some reviews. The shower had decent water pressure for a condo as large as this one. The bed was a little to soft for me but I like VERY firm mattresses. The kitchen was stocked with your basic things needed for cooking. (I'm on vacation, there's NO way I'm cooking.)The balcony was an awesome plus as I love to sit and watch people have fun. Watching people after dark looking for crabs was great. We had 4 people in our room, 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. We were not overcrowded but very thankful for the 2nd toilet. I will definitely recommend a stay at Sundestin and condo 1105. Family friendly as kids were everywhere having fun, but not to loud and overbearing.

Keep Coming Back

We have stayed in this resort three times in the last year due to the location, cleanliness, and family-oriented environment. This last visit‘s front desk service was excellent! A young man checked us in and he represented what I expect from people representing a company.

Resort stay

It was overall a decent place to stay. I felt as thought it maybe could have been cleaner in terms of the floors and bathrooms. We were switched rooms, which we were not expecting. And with that, we did not have a washer and dryer in our room like we expected. It was nice to be right on the beach. The facilities and amenities at the resort were not a clean as we were expecting either.

25th anniversary

Sundestin was recommended by our friends for our 25th wedding anniversary. Loved the beach and ease of reserving. There were a few things that were broken, but didn't hinder our stay (toilet paper holder of all things). The Pelican Roost would not answer the phone for us to place an order, even though the condo had a carry out menu. The bed needs replaced badly. Not only was the mattress horrible, but the legs on the frame were broken. Overall, we would stay again because the beach was simply beautiful

Room 1105

Wyndham is the new property owner, and I don’t care for them at all, so my review is only for the actual room 1105. The room was clean and adequate. A little tired looking, could use new carpet in the bedroom, but the views were amazing. Also could use a pair of scissors and some plastic drinking glasses. I was concerned I’d shatter glass everywhere, so we bought red solo cups. All in all we had a great stay, but probably wouldn’t stay in this room again.

Condition of Condo

This is our second say at Sundestin to celebrate our anniversary. Check in was great and condo was clean and sufficient. When entering the condo we were hit with a wet moldy smell. We thought of trying to move but figured it would be the same. We had to go to Walmart to buy air fresheners that did help by the next day. The carpet in the bed room has to be removed. It was nasty and felt we needed to ware our shoes when walking on it. The shower drain was extremely slow and stood in a few inches of water every shower. We had a good time however we will not rent with Sundestin again.

Filthy, stinky carpet in the bedroom

Let me start by saying the views were nice. However, the carpet in the bedroom was filthy and stinky! The carpet actually stunk up the whole condo, which made our stay a little sour, to say the least. We tried to get help at the reception desk with the smell of the carpet. However, they told us we would have to contact the host. We tried to contact the host numerous times while we were there. But to no avail, we got no response the entire time of our stay. We eventually ended up going to Walmart to buy some carpet fresh to put on the carpet. The condo had a nice view, and the surrounding activities near the resort were nice. But the small nuances of making things nice for guests we're missing, and these small things are very important. Guests want to feel like they're home away from home when on vacation! Well. I can't particularly say this was the case with this condo and host. The host needs to do a better job at being more responsive to their guests. There were a couple of things that were not mentioned. I think the reader can figure out the rest. I would NOT stay in this condo again.

Bring your own air fresheners LOL

First of all, the location was great. We loved being able to see the ocean when we were in the main living area. That was about the only positive we had… upon first entry, the smell of stale cigarette smoke covered up with cheap air freshener was incredibly strong. For a “nonsmoking” unit, you’d expect it to be…nonsmoking? When we went to the front desk to explain the situation, the answer we received was “we can give you a scent machine, but it’s the best we can do” and “we can move you for the night, let the scent machine run, and you can come back tomorrow” (only to then be told they actually had no other places to move us… and we couldn’t be in the room with the “scent machine”). Spending $2,000 on a room for a once a year vacation only for it to smell like smoke? Yikes. We immediately ordered oil diffusers to help the smell dissipate, but when we arrived back home we washed EVERY article of clothing we brought with us and showered. The cleanliness was meh. The bathroom doors wouldn’t shut and got stuck on the floor, so using the bathroom with someone asleep in the bedroom was a feat for sure. Having a bar in the bottom floor was pretty nice, and the elevator wait times were fast! All in all, we would not stay here again. But if you do, bring your own air fresheners!!!!!

The view from this condo is breathtaking. The condo was very clean and comfortable especially after long days on the beach. Would definitely recommend.
