Oak Bluffs Retreat - The perfect getaway!

Six minute drive to beach! This two floor beauty with central AC boasts ample yard space and all the amenities you look for in a vacation home.

The two bedrooms on the top floor feature private baths to assure the right amount of privacy. One bedroom offers a queen bed, while the other has twins. The den on the top floor is furnished with a daybed that can also sleep two twin size or be converted to one king size bed.

The fully equipped kitchen comes complete with stainless steel appliances and faces a wrap-around dining area, which can easily accommodate six.

The deck, located right off the kitchen, features seating for your favorite hot beverage in the morning and a tall bar table for your afternoon and evening cocktails. Those with an appetite for grilling can take advantage of the Weber gas grill and dine outdoors on the two nearby picnic benches.

As you step down off the deck, to your left is an outdoor shower. Continue walking toward the shed and feel free to use the beach chairs located inside.

Terrific home for a family stay. Adequate room throughtout the house to enjoy. Plus the outdoor space us peaceful and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again. Convenient to downtown Oak Bluffs and Farm Neck Golf Course.

Ok but could be much better!

Pros: The property was very clean and offered a lot of space. The yard was lovely and big! The kitchen was fully equipped minus spices/cooking supplies (except for salt and pepper). The gas grill was nice and we enjoyed the outdoor space for the kids. Cons: Had to bring your own towels, washcloths, hand towels and beach towels. Only sheets provided- no blankets, duvets, or bed spreads!! Sparse cleaning supplies. Had ants all over kitchen counter one day. Location is strangely tucked into a side road. It was not close enough to walk into Oak Bluffs if that is important to you- have to drive or bike. Would have been nice if owners had more than 4 beach chairs and 2 small umbrellas since the house can accommodate more guests than that. Big bonus would have been some beach toys, boogie boards, and/or some bikes. May be ok if you are driving and have all of those items to bring but not if flying.

Thank you for the feedback and glad you found the place to be very clean and spacious. You echo the sentiments of all of our previous guests. In addition, the repeat renters from the last three years appreciate the location since it is less than a mile away from Farm Neck and only a little more than a mile away from the beach (1.2 miles). It is not unusual to only find salt and pepper being the only seasoning available since we request our cleaning service remove all items left behind by departing guests. The towels can absolutely be an inconvenience; however, I was transparent about this weeks in advance and provided you with the information needed to secure towels from the rental agency that several homeowners on the island use. There was also transparency regarding the other amenities mentioned which suggests in the future you just have to double check with the owner if they can meet all of your expectations. Even if you choose not to rent with us again, I do hope you come back and visit the island in the near future at a home that has all that you are expecting.

Birthday Celebration week

I was pleasantly surprised this house was available when I decided to change my plans at the end of June for a July 24 start in the Vineyard. Our adult group of 5 fit very well in this beautiful home. Fully stocked with the essentials, clean, bright and so comfortable. The owner, Perry, was always quick to respond kindly to any questions I had about the property. Loved the location!! We walked to the Trade Winds park every day. The joy on my mom’s face being back in her happy place made this week the best of the summer!

Cozy, comfortable home

Homeowner very easy to correspond with. Home is clean, bright and comfortable-just right for our adult family of 5. Family room with good sized TV and large, comfortable sectional. Lots of comfortable seating at table-great for playing games as well as meals. Beds comfortable. Despite the cold and rainy weather, we had a great time!

Very clean and well-stocked house. We enjoyed our stay. Well decorated and very comfortable. Great yard! We had fun gathering around the table for games and enjoyed the outdoor shower.
