Découvrez La Mandragora, maison lumineuse où art et poésie se rencontrent. Avec une vue à couper le souffle sur la vallée des impressionnistes, entre Vernon et Giverny, elle invite à la contemplation.

Terrasse privée, jardin bohémien protégé et atmosphère apaisante : un refuge pour créer, rêver et profiter de moments mémorables en famille ou entre amis.

Ici, chaque séjour devient un moment privilégié. Un poème vivant où l’art de la nature et de la vie invitent à la détente, à la création. Distances :
- Centre-ville de Vernon à 1.5 km et Gare à 2 km
- Giverny, les Jardins de Claude Monet et le Musée des Impressionnismes se trouvent à 6.5 km : 25 minutes a vélos, 13 minutes en voiture ou 10 minutes en navette à partir du centre ville
- Paris : 45 minutes en voiture / train
- Rouen : 45 minutes en voiture / train

Pour le jardin, nous avons opté cette année pour la permaculture afin de préserver la faune, le sol et les insectes. Aussi, toutes ces grosses fleurs que vous voyez n'ont jamais été plantées (roses trémières), elles sont sorties de terre toutes seules…

Nous avons tondu quelques allées pour vous permettre d'accéder au jardin. Les arbres seront coupés à nouveau en juillet, avant étant interdit afin de préserver les oiseaux et leurs bébés...

This was a lovely place to stay. It was situated within an easy drive to Monet’s garden, restaurants and shopping. It was also close to the train station and a short train ride to Paris. The house was spacious and had everything we needed during our stay. The beds were comfortable and the ability to do laundry was an added bonus. The host communicated well and check in and check out was easy. This is a wonderful place to stay when in the Giverney/Vernon area.

Lovely location, town

We had a lovely time, and thoroughly enjoyed the town of Vernon. The hostess, Cristine, was very responsive. Highly recommended.

Nice house for short stay in Giverny area

Many thanks Cristina for letting us stay at this comfortable place. We stayed two nights while visiting Monets Garden and the Giverny area. Very nice welcome and caring personnel. Spend two nice evenings on the Terrasse in the garden (and did some nice barbecuing ;-)).

Spacious holiday home with nice terrace and garden

Spacious, clean, well-equipped modern holiday home in a quiet neigbourhood with three separate bedrooms. Nice garden with comfortable terrace. Good location, close to Giverny (Monet's gardens). Responsive owner reacts quickly to any question you may have.

A good base for touring

We enjoyed our stay for visiting Rouen, Monet garden, Versailles and Lyon’s la Foret. The house is close to the Seine so misty some morning. The garden was a bit of a shame as not groomed, and there was a lack or mirrors in the bedrooms but comfortable beds and sofas in the living area. A nice 4 day stay.

Hi Gill Thank you for your review and your stay. As for the garden, we chose the permaculture for this year. This means as you already saw, there are alleys we are mowing in order to access the garden and areas that we don’t mow. Also, we cut the trees in February and unfortunately it is forbidden to do more until July. Also, the areas you saw, with grass will be left like this in order to perverse the soil and plant the seeds in a more natural and ecological way. Nevertheless, I hope you had a great stay in Normandy ! Cristina

We stayed here for 3 nights as it was convenient to travel to Paris via the train. We walked to the train station which was very easy to find. We also visited Monet’s House and Garden which was nearby a short drive away. Check in was super easy and everything was as described online. The garden and trampoline were lovely and the house itself having air conditioning was a blessing as it was very hot outside. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and a working dishwasher was very handy. There was enough space for us all as a family of 5 with teenagers. Good WiFi. Our car didn’t fit on the driveway (it is quite long) so we parked it outside the gates which was ok.Lots of TV channels to watch when relaxing in the evening. The area was very quiet around us which was lovely.

Quiet location in Vernon that exceeded expectations.

We were very happy with our stay at this quiet, spacious, immaculately clean property in Vernon. The location is suburban but it is a quick drive into the city or across the river to Giverny and beyond. We had a rental car and there is abundant free parking, including on premises. There are no restaurants or grocery stores in the immediate vicinity. There are groceries in the town center (8-10 minute drive) and a very good creperie (Creperie Fleur de Seine) down the hill along the riverfront (10-12 minutes on foot). We also enjoyed Le Bistrot Montmartre in the city center. From this location we were able to visit Monet's house and gardens with ease (plenty of free parking in Giverny or you could bicycle). On another day we visited Auvers-sur-Oise and on another we drove to the seaside and walked the beach at Deauville. A day-trip to Paris by train would also be easy to arrange. The owner is well organized and communication was excellent. As a bonus, there is a large, ground level deck in the back for relaxing outdoors.

Das Haus war wunderschön, geräumig, sauber und wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles vorhanden, das man braucht. Die Lage ist sehr gut und dennoch ruhig und erholsam.

Het huis was beneden ruim en praktisch, boven waren 2 van de 3 slaapkamers niet echt sfeervol ,maar de bedden waren goed en de 2 badkamers ook. Helaas deed het internet het niet en kwam er pas op het moment dat we vetrokken een reparateur, te laat dus.
