Peaceful place

The hosts are friendly and warm people, the environment is unique amidst sunflower meadows, Montgiscard is nearby for all of the practical stuff. We had a wonderful stay. The swimming pool was refreshing and is located in a paradise atmosphere. Recommended for travelers that fancy peace and quiet in a natural and ecological environment.

An oasis of peace, calm and nature. With swimming!

The property is a converted farmhouse and barn. The hosts live one end, facing into their garden and the two gites are on the first floor at the other end accessed by a shared covered wooden balcony and seating area. At treetop level, the balcony was reminiscent of a safari lodge, with views of the sunset, butterflies and birds. The apartment was spacious and well equipped for a self catering stay. We stayed for a week, but as there was a washer/dryer you could stay much longer. Inside it is decorated in an artistic and rustic style, with photos of wildlife taken on the property and many home made mosaic touches and country furniture. The shower was hot and powerful. The large salinated (no chlorine) pool was the main feature of the gardens. The garden is a managed wildlife area, with paths cut through wild flowers and fruit trees. The pool is surrounded by aromatic culinary herbs which smelled beautifully in the heat. The surrounding countryside is arable land, of sunflowers, potatoes and wheat. It is a steep climb up from the canal du midi, only a few miles away in Montgiscard and the terrain is undulating hillside. The property is on a hilltop with long views and the nearest village is small but with an organic producers market, pretty church and a well preserved 17th century working windmill. The hosts were very charming and gave us some useful local knowledge of where to visit and had a comprehensive list of local restaurants and amenities.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. Logement propre avec toutes les commodités et qui conserve son coté rustique avec une déco soignée. Séjour ressourçant dans une nature respectée

Des hôtes accueillants et aux petits soins. Une foule de bons conseils pour les visites et les restos. Une nature respectée jalonnée de petits sentiers qui mènent a de jolies découvertes. Des fleurs, des arbres, des fruitiers à foison que Violette et son époux partagent de bon coeur. Une galerie terrasse avec une vue somptueuse sur la campagne, entourée de fleurs parfumées. Un gîte tout équipé et décoré artistiquement par notre hôtesse. Et une piscine de rêve de 15m de longueur. L'endroit idéal pour se ressourcer.

Très agréable semaine passée, avec le soleil en prime. La location est idéalement située pour visiter Toulouse et sa région. Tout correspond au descriptif de l'annonce et les propriétaires sont très cordiaux. Juste ce qu'il faut de présence et merci pour la bonne bouteille de vin lors de notre arrivée. Gite niché au cœur de la campagne Lauragaise, je viens d'y séjourner plusieurs semaines. Tout est décoré et aménagé avec goût par Violette la propriétaire, artiste dans l'âme. Le calme est de mise, et prendre un bain dans la piscine au sel au milieu de ce jardin classé (chose rare) en bio diversité est un régal. Violette se fera un plaisir de vous donner des explications sur la création de cet espace protégé. De plus les accès vers Toulouse sont très aisés. Un gîte à découvrir sans plus attendre. Un gîte comme on voudrait en voir souvent !

Nous avons séjourné 15 jours au gîte. 2 semaines très agréables au milieu des tournesols. Gîte très bien aménagé; beaucoup de silence. Possibilités nombreuses de randonnées (canal du Midi, Toulouse qui n'est pas loin...) Terrasse très agréable où il fait bon petit-déjeuner en regardant les papillons butiner. Au loin, la silhouette de la fusée Ariane ! Grande piscine. Propriétaires discrets mais qui renseignent parfaitement sur les sites à visiter, les restaurants. Gîte parfaitement conforme à la description et aux photos affichées. Je recommande ce gîte aux amis qui recherchent le calme au milieu de la nature. Vacances parfaites dans le Lauragais... si bien que j'y retourne dès cet été ! Alain B.

enfin un gîte écolo tout confort !

Nous avons séjourné au gîte de la Tabernole à plusieurs reprises et avons été ravis à chaque fois par le calme, le paysage, la décoration très originale et artistique de chacun des 2 gîtes. En plus la propriétaire est une vraie mine de renseignements botaniques et touristiques. La piscine au sel ne produit aucune irritation des yeux ou muqueuses et est assez grande pour nager vraiment. En été, l'isolation est vraiment bonne et protège bien des grosses chaleurs. Enfin, tout est bien et nous y retournerons à nos prochaines vacances. Maryline & Francisco

Ce gîte est aménagé avec goût par sa propriétaire qui tient à promouvoir les anciennes techniques de décoration. Nous sommes donc plongés dans un très agréable dépaysement. BELLE LOCATION

Nous avons eu la chance de rester 5 mois dans le gîte de la Tabernole, à Montbrun-Lauragais, à 20 km de Toulouse. L'endroit est charmant, en pleine nature, avec une vue superbe sur le Lauragais. Le gîte est de tout confort, avec chauffage au sol (nous y étions durant l'hiver et n'avons jamais eu froid). Au printemps, le jardin est un écrin de verdure magnifique. Nous avons été sensibles à l'intérieur est fait de matériel écologique. Montbrun est un joli village (à recommander: le marché bio hebdomadaire).
