5000 Square feet of comfortable family space. Only 3.5 hours from Boston, 4 Hours from NYC and 2 Hours from Hartford. 4 Bedrooms 3.5 baths . Chefs kitchen with everything needed for a big family or intimate couples escape. Massive basement playroom for more family fun and room to spread out. Expansive decks with outdoor furniture and grill and fire pit for dining and entertaining outside. Screen porch with pond and mountain views. 40 Acres of Fields, a fully stocked trout pond, Miles of hiking and walking trails throughout the property with a cool and relaxing brook. Cute rustic cottage in sight of the home for kids/adult campout or picnics. 20 Minutes to Mt Snow. 15 Minutes to Wilmington and 15 Minutes to Dover. Mt Snow has many activities all year round.
Markets and grocery store close by. 35 Minutes to Stratton. Harriman reservoir in Wilmington has boat and jet ski rentals. It is also a perfect lake for kayaking and swimming with multiple public access points. 1 Hour drive to Manchester Vt, the home of Orvis, and their fly fishing school, Bromley Mountain along with many great outlets, shopping and restaurants. The hill behind the house is the ULTIMATE sledding hill for kid's and adults!

The Perfect Mountain House

We stayed for an extended weekend with Friends and Family. This is the perfect house for all ages. Big basement full of games, toys, and TV with video games for the kids while the adults can interact around a big kitchen table or in on the comfortable living room. Heated floors, plenty of bathrooms, bedrooms and sleeping spaces. So clean and perfect views. Close to Mt Snow and town with local restaurants and bars. Fantastic communication with the owner as well. Everyone absolutely loved this home and highly recommend.

Great stay, kid friendly!

3 families consisting of 6 adults and 5 kids ages 1-4 had a great time. Each couple had one room for themselves and one room for their kids. The house had a beautiful property with lots to explore and lots of toys for the kids. Would definitely go back.

Expansive country escape

Overall, the stay was great. The listing accurately shows the beautiful and expansive house and grounds. We had a party of 14 including seven adults, and kids ranging in ages from 1.5 - 12. Positives of the stay included the secluded, quiet acreage with the ability to walk in the woods from the property, well supplied house with lots of toys for a variety of ages, baby supplies like high chairs and potty seats and comfortable, nice furnishings. The house has ample room. If you have more than two sets of adults, space negotiations begin. There’s a lovely master suite (with the ability to have a young child in a cot fit easily within the suite) and the in law apartment well defined for adults. The other spaces are designed for kids. Clearly advertised but good to know - the home is in the country and it’s a 20-25 minute drive (in the summer) to get to swimming, kayaking, grocery or really anything. The nearest hospital is a solid 30 minutes. The owner is very responsive and the property caretaker was by several times during the week to take care of small issues that arose. Minor drawbacks: - with certain age (toddler) kids walking the property in any way other than in a carrier is hard - the trails required brook walking and the like- and there are no sidewalks along the roads. - the bugs are real! - there was some dampness in the basement from a leaky air conditioner. It didn’t affect us - we turned it off - but we didn’t need the basement futon as a sleeping space. There was a musty smell - likely from the ac leak - where it wouldn’t have been possible to use to sleep. Again, no issue for us, but we weren’t counting on the bed for our stay. - Overall the communication with the owner was easy. There was a miscommunication at the end, however, around check out expectations, which we feel badly about. Check out instructions were very minimal, but after leaving we heard from the owner that expectations were higher. Recommend checking in on that with the owner before checking out. Perfect Getaway

Our family absolutely adored this property, situated on a beautifully scenic piece of land. This place delivers on both outside amenities and inside amenities. We loved how the owners prepared so much for children, games and so many fun spaces to explore, which you don't often see in rentals. We enjoyed as a family being able to have lots of game nights and good big meals in the very well equipped kitchen. I also really appreciate the owner providing so much information about the property as well as the surrounding areas. Great place and we can't wait to go back!

Perfect location and stay for our 2022 family & friends ski trip!

The weather didn't entirely cooperate with us during this 2022 school vacation trip. We've been going every season for the last 7-8 years to NH/VT, and this location and house has been the best so far! It was perfect for our families that stayed with 15 guests. The inside layout was perfect - open kitchen, into the dining area, family area, and the entry way was perfect for coming in with our ski bags/boots with the laundry area right there. The house also has a separate downstairs with gaming system and foosball table for the kids. The outside was also perfect (unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of snow on the ground this year) - but, I can envision it would have been a great sledding/hill area, including trails on the property, near a brook, and great hiking area on 40 acres of property, to explore the outdoors!

Phenomenal Vermont Getaway

This property was the perfect winter getaway for my family and friends. The property itself is gorgeous, with more than 40 acres for my kids to explore. And the house was great for my family (with our 3 and 6 year old) and adult friends. There is a beautiful master bedroom suite off of the main living area, three bedrooms upstairs and a separate apartment over the garage that our adults friends were grateful for when my kids were up (and loud) at 7am. The property is secluded but close to Mt. Snow, restaurants and grocery stores (all about a 15 minute drive). Overall, this was a great find and we'll definitely consider coming back.

Amazing property!!

Pictures and one’s imagination do not do justice for just how beautiful this property is. As you drive up and turn the vehicle off you were greeted with The sound of serenity. You do not hear cars, lawnmowers or airplanes flying above. The house is breathtakingly beautiful and the grounds are picture perfect. We had 10 adults and two teenagers and at no time did refill as though we were on top of each other either inside or outdoors. The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped and the great room is beautiful and very inviting. During our stay we cooked food for the majority of the meals and had all of the equipment at our fingertips. The outdoor decks are large and equipped with two barbecues and seating for a large group. The outdoor grounds are a Wonderland for kids and adults to run around and play. The pond is a tranquil it’s peaceful setting with a comfortable Hamic or one can lose one cell for an entire day. The owner George provided a lot of useful information on where to go for groceries and where to eat. He was a big help because we had many questions and he was always there to provide answers. He’s very easy to work with :-) We had such a remarkable and fantastic day and will definitely revisit this property again in the future when we do another family get together.

Magnificant

The home was absolutely beautiful. Very well appointed, extremely well maintained. Everything a guest could need was supplied and then some. Property was private with a walkable trail and stream traversing through. The home was spacious, with a private apartment attached, luxurious furnishings and accoutrements. Home owner extremely attentive and responsive, offering wonderful tips regarding the neighborhood surroundings . Many perks, homeowner so accommodating and the home felt so welcoming . You could want for nothing , except to never leave.
