Beautiful Secluded Carova Beach House - Hot tub - Pet yard with access door

Come and enjoy this beautiful beach house with all of the amenities. Our house is very private yet close to ocean. 10 minute walk or three minute drive right onto the beach. Enjoy your morning coffee on the beautiful wrap around deck and watch the wild horses roaming free. Great location to relax, swim, surf, beachcomb, kayak and fish!
A 4 wheel drive vehicle is needed for the 10 mile drive on the beach road north of Corolla. AWD vehicles are NOT recommended. You cannot get to the house on pavement.

The upper level kitchen has stainless steel Samsung appliances, granite countertops dining table for 8 and bar seating. Living room has sectional with sleeper sofa (D), chairs, and a 50 inch TV with YouTube TV live channels and streaming services. Upper level has two bedrooms (Q,Q) with beautiful coastal décor and comfortable beds with linens provided. TVs in both bedrooms and high speed wi-fi throughout the house. There is a hall bath with single vanity and tub/shower combo. The upper deck has a Weber propane grill, large outdoor sectional, and outdoor dining for 8.

Lower level has large family room with propane fireplace and sectional seating for 8, 60 inch TV with sound bar, banquette seating for 6, kitchenette with microwave, full size stainless refrigerator with filtered water and ice, coffee pots (brewed and K-cup), and dishwasher. Lower level has two bedrooms. The larger bedroom has a work station with desk and chair. Smaller bedroom has a triple bunk with a double bed and two singles. Large bathroom with double vanity and walk in shower with two shower heads. Stacked high capacity washer and dryer in hall. Enjoy the outdoor hot/cold shower on lower deck and the 7 person hot tub after a fun-filled day at the beach.

Relax and enjoy the sunsets, listen to the waves, star gaze and watch the wild horses meander by in the backyard. Three kayaks are included to tour the canals and sound with across the road

Family vacation

My family and I had a amazing stay at this house the house was so clean and the owners were very tentative to any questions i had. The location was perfect close the the brach and sound to kayak that was by far the best vacation we had and definitely look forward to being able to book with them again thank you for a great stay!

Hidden Gem

This property offers the unique opportunity to stay together with family but separate at the same time. Enjoyed the well sticked kitchen upstairs and aptly stocked kitchenette downstairs. Enjoyed the seclusion and nature surrounding the home. Matt and Jen are very responsive and friendly. If we ever visit Corolla again, we will be booking with them.

Great Relaxation

This property was cozy and well suited for our first family vacation to the OBX. We had one issue which was addressed promptly by Matt the owner and a kind gesture by the owners as well. Which we appreciated. The house was only a few minutes from the beach which we loved. We would definitely stay here again on the future.

Fantastic place with everything you need!

Property was great family and kids had a cantastic time! The house was just the right size for our 2 families (12 guests). It was equipped with all you'd need while there, so much so, that we could have saved packing so many items. One of the best we've been to. House is cute and charming, there is plenty of entertainment for the kiddos with games and puzzles. We were visited multiple times by the wild horses. The locals were friendly, we cant wait to return!

Our stay started a little rough as the cleaning people were still present when we arrived after our check in time, and left a bit of a mess in their haste. But the owners were responsive and friendly. The home was well fitted and cared for, and you can tell the owners have pride in the home.

Great Location

We had a great time as always in the 4x4. A little drive is well worth the privacy of the area. It was just our family but honestly this is the perfect set up for two small families to stay together. There are two separate living spaces top floor and the bottom floor. Overall, the home is well decorated and relatively clean for a beach house. There is an open lot right beside the house that had campers so that did take a little of privacy away but nothing too invasive. We didn’t use the hot tub but there were people stopping by checking to make sure it was clean. We did have to contact the owners once during our stay and they responded promptly.

Perfect Getaway

I have stayed at a few houses in Corova. Large, small, pricey, cheap, however this house was perfect for my family and I. The home was absolutely beautiful, cozy and relaxing. We had privacy and plenty of yard for my 2 labs to roam and do their thing. The house was well stocked with everything that's needed for a remote vacation. Plenty of games to entertain the kids including cornhole. It was clean, tidy and lacked nothing. I loved that the home supplied beach chairs as well. Less stuff to pack up and bring with me to the beach! Looking forward to booking again after all the reservations have been completed over the winter :)

Wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was exactly what we wanted - a beautiful house away from the main tourist area. Beware your GPS. For some reason, maps took us to a community a couple miles south. We had a small hiccup checking in, but the owners graciously made up for it. The rest of the vacation was complete bliss. We’d drive out onto the beach at mile marker 23.5 everyday and have fun. I made a few trips to town to the seafood and farmers market and cooked in the beautiful kitchen with very nice appliances and a gas range. As a professional chef, I was ecstatic when I saw the kitchen, since we like to do the majority of our own cooking during ocean vacations. We had a ton of fun, and lazy time, on the wrap around deck. All in all we would 100% go back again.

The house was very up to date and clean. Exactly as described. It had everything we needed from in the kitchen to chairs for the beach. The only negative was it was pretty far down the beach so the drive to town was a little lengthy, but if you're looking for seclusion it is great.

Great house

We really enjoyed our stay. Seeing the horses everywhere was wonderful! The House was perfect for our stay! Plenty of decking all around! Kitchen was great, love the appliances! Bedrooms a little small but who stays in the bedroom while on vacation? The only frustration was finding the house, neither Google Maps nor Mapquest could get you there! Specific directions when you get onto the beach would have saved us an hour of time searching and trying to find the house especially when you've been on the road for hours! Be sure NOT to go at High Tide!! It would be more helpful if the Island had more road signs, but that has nothing to do w/ the house! Wonderful House!!

Awesome adventure away from it all!

This was our first time to the area and it’s absolutely beautiful. We “unplugged” and enjoyed the gorgeous beach where we walked for hours. Enjoyed all of the wildlife: beautiful horses hanging out in the yard, dolphin sightings, deer...loved sitting out on the deck at night gazing at the stars...the owner is awesome and super responsive. This is just what we needed and we will be back! House has everything and good to get your groceries before arriving so you can just “be still” and unwind...

Perfect social distancing vacation!

The house was very well kept and had just about everything you would need! Chris was excellent to communicate with and answered questions quickly! We visited with my husband and dogs and they loved it too! It was our first time visiting this part of the OBX and it was the perfect accommodations for a social distancing vacation. It was quiet and there was never an issue finding space on the beach. Make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle because if not, you will have trouble! Also be sure to do your grocery shopping before heading in! It’s about a 45 minute drive to the grocery store (due to beach driving, not mileage) so you’ll want to be sure you have the essentials. We had a great and relaxing time!

Wonderful place that’s very isolated

We really enjoyed our time at this house. The inside feels new and has a great kitchen. It was awesome spending alone time with our family and enjoyed the horses. I think we will be back next year.

Wonderful stay!

We had such a great time! My partner went fishing every morning and afternoon. I stayed inside until late day when it cooled off a bit. Relaxed on the covered porch with my dog and enjoyed having a drink on ground level in high deck chairs. The house was so clean and the kitchen was equipped with most everything I can think of. It was quiet and the bed was so comfortable. Both of us agreed it was the best sleep we had in a long time. The check in/out were simple and the owner and caretaker were so quick to answer my questions. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay; we hope to get back in the fall.

Great family vacation

The house was nice and everything new. Pretty clean on the interior of the house but the exterior could use some cleaning up. Horses visited daily and it was a quick drive to the beaches where we enjoyed our sunny days. Would definitely stay here again!

Longtime vacationers in the OBX, the Ransils honeymooned on Ocracoke Island twenty-eight years ago and have returned to the North Carolina coast as often as possible for vacations with family and friends. In 2020, they purchased their cottage at the beach and spent 2021 adding the lower level to the existing home. Matt and Jen designed their house with all the amenities that they look for in a vacation house for their family of grown children and grandchildren. They welcome you to share their favorite place.
