The accommodations were good. There was construction on the roof of the building we were staying in that limited parking spaces and early morning noise. We were not made aware of this prior to our stay.

The beds were very nice and the condo was big enough for the five of us. It was a good location in proximity of several restaurants. Our host was awesome!Issues we experienced: The beach was completely covered in rotten seaweed that filled the air of the entire complex with the "rotten egg" smell. It was bad. While the pool was decent, the poolside grille was closed by 5pm everyday even though the hours on the side said open until 9pm. The bugs were really bad when the sun went down (maybe why grille closed). Overall, the room was nice and we had a good time. However, we were hoping to be able to use the beach and it was unavailable. The smell was foul and overwhelming. Not what we were hoping for.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very glad to hear that you enjoyed our condo. That said, we are truly sorry that the inaccurate pool hours and beach conditions negatively impacted your stay. We understand how disappointing it must have been to look forward to enjoying the beach and instead encounter such a bad smell throughout the complex. While sargassum is a natural and unfortunately unpredictable condition during the summer, we fell short of advising you about these conditions ahead of time. This is not the standard of excellence and proactive communication we strive for our guests. If you would like to talk about a discount on an upcoming stay please reach out to us and mention this response. Thank you again for bringing these items to our attention and helping to improve the Star experience! ⭐ Natalie, Star Properties Destinations Team

Amenities were nice, having a pool, marina, bar and grill all on site. Only issue was parking. Half the parking spaces were blocked for construction. Parking spaces are so tight that you had to swing your mirrors in just to walk between vehicles. If you had a suitcase in the backseat, you were not getting it out.

Wonderful property

This is one of my favorite units in this property. The management company was easy to get ahold of and did a great job accommodating our group. This unit is very clean and laid out perfectly. I’ll definitely stay in this unit again when I return to the keys. It is super convenient to Islamorada and Key Largo.

Great place in Tavernier!

Our family had a great experience at Ocean Pointe. The condo was an excellent price and had a great amount of space for our family of 4. There were a few minor problems with the door code but the management company resolved both in under an hour. The kids loved the pool, there was always space and great people any time we went. Location was good for a few outings to other Keys as well. Overall this was a wonderful place to spend a few days in the Keys! Definitely recommend

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We chose a unit in Ocean Pointe because it perfectly blends the charm of the Florida Keys with the ease and comfort of resort-style living. This gated community offers an unbeatable location between Key Largo and Islamorada—placing guests right in the heart of the Upper Keys, close to top attractions like John Pennekamp State Park and world-class diving, fishing, and boating.

Ocean Pointe stands out with its extensive amenities: a large oceanfront pool, on-site marina with boat ramp and dockage, paddleboard and kayak rentals, a restaurant and bar, tennis courts, and a private beach area. It’s one of the few communities in the area that truly offers everything on-site for both adventure and relaxation.

We saw the potential to provide guests with a great location and well-equipped space where they could unwind, work remotely, or launch into island adventures right from their doorstep.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We chose this unit in Ocean Pointe for its unbeatable location within one of the Upper Keys sought-after communities. Nestled in Building 2, it’s just a short stroll to the waterfront pool, beach area, marina, and all of the resort-style amenities that make Ocean Pointe so special. The onsite marina allows boating enthusiasts to enjoy simplicity & ease, whether bringing their own boat (28' Max), or utilizing our Concierge service to rent one from our trusted partner. Whether you're setting off for a boat day, heading out for a sunset paddle, or simply enjoying a peaceful walk along the lushly landscaped grounds, this unit puts you at the heart of it all—without the crowds.
