Step into comfortable luxury at Sunsplashed Villa, a 5-bedroom, 5-bath Mediterranean-style beach-block home with a private courtyard pool. Up to 12 family members and friends can sleep comfortably in three master suites and two bedrooms -- and gather in two living rooms, an outdoor elevated terrace, and a spacious poolside veranda.

Located in the heart of tiny Captiva Village, at 11514 Andy Rosse Lane, Sunsplashed Villa is less than a three-minute walk from many restaurants, bars, coffee, ice cream, pizza, a grocery and liquor store, two marinas, and the spectacular bay and beaches of beautiful Captiva Island.

Sunsplashed Villa is private and secluded, yet in the center of it all. When you walk through the front door, you don't step into a house, but a walled courtyard patio with an inviting pool and multiple sunny, and covered, seating areas. When you step outside, chances are you'll hear the fun sounds of guitars or steel drums on your left from the restaurants of the village, and feel the Gulf breezes on the right from the beach down the block.

The three master suites and two bedrooms are cleverly situated so that everybody has their own space: a secluded top floor king suite, two side-by-side main-floor bedrooms, a pool-level king suite with a den, and a completely separate Terrace Suite with its own kitchenette, bathroom, and private entrance.

Great house for a family vacation

Such a great house in a perfect location. The courtyard, outdoor area and pool were really great. Just a short walk to the beach and right in the center of Captiva. We hope to visit again soon!

Perfect Home For Family Vacation

We had an excellent stay (4 adults and 2 teens). The pool was great and garage was stocked with plenty of beach supplies. The living room and dining room had comfortable seating for all. Board games, books for the beach and added special feature … a record player! Thanks for another memorable Captiva vacation.

Family Reunited in Paradise

The house was well stocked with beach items, coolers, umbrellas and the kitchen was also well stock for cooking. We had a wonderful time! It actually did have a crock pot and Keurig along with a regular coffee pot.

Amazing property with an even better location

We just completed our stay with a group of friends and their children and we all had an amazing time. The beach is a short walk down the street and the house had all of the appropriate beach gear. After a day at the beach, the pool was the perfect place to relax and the depth was perfect for children. In terms of location, the house is on the ideal street in Captiva and EVERYTHING is within a short walk (groceries, restaurants, pizza, stores, shops, coffee, etc). If you are looking to get away and enjoy the relaxation and beauty of Captiva, I would highly recommend this listing.

Perfect spot on Captiva Island

We stayed at this property last year before the new owners. Jill is very responsive. Also they gave the place a nice fresh makeover! There is plenty of seating, kitchen equipment, towels for the pool and tons of beach chairs and two wagons to pull everything to the beach which is a block away. We had a great time and the eight of us agreed we will come back here next year. Only request is more dish towels and something to clean the grill with.

Our family consisted of my husband and I and our 4 adult children. The place could not have been more perfect. So close to the beach and yet in the center of town by all the restaurants. We could hear the music from the restaurants at night, which the kids loved, but it always stopped at 10:00. The house had all the amenities to cook amazing meals but we found it easier to eat out. We would definitely come back!!!

I cannot say enough of how perfect this house was... The location: it was close to everything! Restaurants, grocery store & shoppes. The beach is literally 3min away .....The house set up: We had 2 couples & 3 sets of kids in different age groups & they ALL had their own space to be.. The house was well equipped with beach buggies, 2 umbrellas, coolers, beach towels & some chairs.... They have #4 bikes which were great. Loved this place!

Beautiful vacation house!

We had the most amazing week at Sunsplashed! The house is perfect for two large families with young kids. We had 6 children, ages 3-8 with us. House was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed and more. We spent most of our time in the pool or at the beach. The location of this house couldn’t be better! It is steps away from everything. We were planning on renting a golf cart but didn’t need one. The owner was very helpful and responsive. We would love to come back to this same house every year!

Great Layout for a large group!

The layout provided bedrooms on each level and out over the garage, which was perfect to grant everyone their own quiet sleeping spaces. In addition, the house provides great common spaces: outside by the pool, in the first floor rec room and on the main floor with its open layout. Some could be playing games in the dining room while others were watching the Olympics on the TV and yet we were all together! The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking for a crowd and the open pantry shelves were appreciated. As others have shared - the location is perfect. The pool provides a private oasis, and yet you're in the hub of the shops and restaurants and so close to the beach! New owners were very responsive and Royal Shell also very helpful! We recommend without hesitation!

Great Trip

We had been to Captiva about ten years and it is beautiful! Would definitely recommend getting a golf cart. And I would also forego the rent-a-car that we rented for the week and just ubered. We could have saved hundreds of dollars because the car sat in the driveway the entire week. Everything is walking distance and a golf cart is the way to go. The house is very near many restaurants, Yolo Sports and the beach. Our favorite restaurants were the Mucky Duck, Green Flash and RC Otters oysters. We loved the ping pong table, ample bedrooms, lanai, the beach towels that were provided, the beach chairs and umbrellas that were supplied and the fact that every bedroom had its own bathroom. We had a great time with the six teenagers that we brought with us!!!

Beautiful Home

This home is great for people traveling with several households. We had several families stay and we never felt crowded and loved the common areas, mostly the pool and hot tub! The kids swam from morning till bedtime! We had a vow renewal planned for the beach (short walk from the house) but we had thunder storms roll in so we had the ceremony at the house by the pool under cover. The house is beautiful enough for photos and a ceremony in a pinch! The owner left a sweet card with goody bag and she was always very responsive to my messages. We wish we could come back every year but unfortunately the price of the home rental has gone up too high after this year. Otherwise we would be back! We had a lovely time! Thank you!

Perfect escape for big groups

We were a group of 4 couples and each of us had a bedroom on a separate floor each with attached bathroom. The property is just as pictured... pool is great and tons of stuff in the garage to take to the beach which is one block away... very convenient. Can walk to several restaurants. My only complaint is on the company that manages the property Royal Shell... they provide you with a "starter" kit for one week with 7 adults of 3 trash bags, 4 dishwashing packets and one roll of TP per bathroom. I have never stayed at a VRBO property that skimped on the paper. On the plus side, they were very responsive (same day service) with a clogged shower drain and a coffee maker that didn't work. I would highly recommend this property but feel like trash bags, dishwasher soap and TP should be more freely provided at these prices.

Fabulous property in a great location

The space, decor, and location are amazing at Sun Splashed Villa on Captiva. My husband and I hosted our children, spouses and young grandchildren (2 toddlers and 2 infants) for a week and we enjoyed our time immensely. The only dark cloud was the housekeeping and some maintenance issues. The floors and baseboards of two bathrooms were dirty upon arrival with dirty rugs. We found 2 pills on the floors that had been overlooked and could have been dangerous with toddlers and babies in the house. Two burners didn't work and there was no plug in the children's bathroom for bathing. The Terrace Suite had an ant infestation that was annoying. The sheets in the Terrace Suite were old with small tears. While no property is perfect, there were more issues than we expected at this price point. Despite the cleanliness issues, the staff was very responsive to each call and the service people were great! Again, great property in the perfect location. Housekeeping needs some work.

Prime Captiva location!

Our family had a fabulous (and safe, during another surge of the global pandemic) vacation in this home. The location is the BEST feature - right on Andy Rosse Lane...steps from Key Lime Bistro, the market, RC Otters, and Captiva Pizza. It's just a short walk to Mucky Duck and the public beach access. We traveled with two 6 year olds and a 10 year old that had no problem schlepping plentiful float toys to the beach access. One member of our party uses a prosthetic leg, so he thought the beach was a bit more effort - but thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub/pool combo. We should've contacted YOLO Water Sports well in advance of our August stay as they were sold out of golf cart rentals. We went with a Moke rental instead. That was handy for carting up to Doc Fords and a Dolphin Cruise that departed out of the bigger resort. The home was very well appointed - in kitchen supplies/appliances, pool toys and games. Some of the pool/patio furniture is a bit worn and could use a refresh - but it was functional. There is an intercom system that is not functional (and very unnecessary). Carpets/rugs need a good deep clean (or replacement), but the home was very comfortable and spacious. The home has new owners who honored our reservation (even though the sale occurred between our booking and actual vacation - thank goodness!) and may have plans in the works for updating/refreshing some of the more worn items. This is a prime rental and provides lots of lovely Captiva fun!

Our family has been making happy memories here on the Gulf Coast for four generations. (The picture above is my husband's grandfather, "The Colonel," taking him out for a boat ride on the bay, in 1970.)

Although we've vacationed in great towns up and down the Gulf Coast, Captiva is uniquely special to us. A tropical island, beautiful and uncrowded, with relaxed "island attitude," yet full of fun and activities.

It's our most favorite place to be.

Why they chose this property

We love vacation rentals. Whenever we get together, for a family vacation, a ladies' or men's weekend, or a trip away with friends, we look for a house by the water with lots of restaurants and activities nearby.

When Sunsplashed Villa became available, we were excited to own a great island village property for our family, and also to make it available for guests, like you.
