About this property
Denali Park Place - Alaskan elegance with over 350 Five Star reviews!
Between VRBO and that other one.... I have received over 350 Five Star reviews - so rest assured - you'll love it!
I have lived in Alaska for 45 years and traveled by dog sled, kayak, small plane and boat throughout the state. I have been hosting guests from around the world since 2006, and love telling folks about Alaska.
You do need your own transportation to stay here. There are no shuttles or taxis.
Rooms are large and filled with natural light in a space made for mountain living. When it’s time to retire from the day, unwind in the open and airy living room and enjoy the panoramic views from large picture windows.
The bedroom offers a sumptuous Queen-size bed, complete with a down comforter and loads of fluffy pillows. A living room sofa also unfolds into an inviting Queen-size bed.
The fully equipped kitchen has spices, oils, teas and coffee (any mode you want to make it – drip, French press, programmable coffee maker) as well as flour and popcorn.
The laundry room is equipped with a state-of-the-art washer and dryer, and laundry soap. The bathroom is stocked with towels, soap, shampoo and toilet paper – and even bubble bath for those inclined!
The artwork that graces the walls are pieces I have collected since coming to Alaska in 1981. (and I love telling stories about every one of them!) A brochure with a brief history of each piece will make you too fall in love with the great artists of the Last Frontier!
Hi-speed Internet and a large collection of Alaskan books will round out your entertainment needs.
GUEST ACCESS You will have access to the entire upstairs of the house. The downstairs garage is merely storage and cleaning supplies, which we respectfully request no entrance.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS I live in a small cabin on the property. You can reach me by text or phone. I am usually available to answer questions or offer advice on the local area in the late afternoon and evenings. Otherwise, I feel guests are here to relax so won't be bothering you.
Savor your own fresh prepared meals at home or visit one of the locally owned restaurants that abound.
Minutes away, Denali National Park offers visitors a variety of options from hikes to tours to experiences that will last a life time.

This place was perfect for my wants and needs Easy to get to, comfortable, clean, and Lisa is a great hostess. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Denali.
Lisa's Denali Park cabin was perfect for two. Directions were accurate. Parking was conveniently located just outside the door. The only catch is, we had to bring everything into the mudroom area, take off our shoes, then haul everything up some fairly steep stairs. Upstairs, a nice welcome gift was waiting for us. The kitchen has what you need for basic food prep (not that we cooked). There were several ice trays that we stored up so we had plenty of ice for a day, and we like ice! The living area was comfortable with large windows revealing a lovely view. There was a variety of books, DVD's, and CD's, mostly Alaska-related. The bed was comfortable and had outlets on either side of the bed. We had plenty of room our suitcases. Lisa was responsive to questions. Double bonus - - full size washer/dryer. While the property is very quiet and feels secluded, it is conveniently located to the entrance of the national park and there are several restaurants within 15 minutes.
We greatly enjoyed our stay. Location is remote enough to feel like you are in the wilderness and at the same time close to the park and restaurants. Host is easy to contact.
Beautiful property close to Denali National Park. It had everything we needed with extra touches that made the stay feel like we were a welcome friend.
Most relaxing spot on our vacation! This cabin had everything we needed to relax and regroup after a lot of traveling. Loved the sourdough pancakes! I highly recommend this spot if you are planning to visit Denali national Park!
The stay was great! Lisa has so many special touches she added to our stay, from her neat welcome gift to all the unique, personalized decorating touches throughout the apartment. It gave my daughters and I so much to explore and discuss during our stay. We loved our time spent here!
We loved our stay here! Great location but even better were all the little details! My family just wished we had more time so we could actually spend some time getting to know Lisa. Would definitely recommend staying here to everyone!
Cute and cozy well kept residence very convenient to Denali National Park. Host has lots of local detail and art in the residence and was very helpful with park visit suggestions.
Host has an eye for detail and has thought about every small comfort. Views are fantastic. You can feel how special this place is with Lisa's personal touches, and extraordinary artwork all over the house. We loved staying here.
Lisa was a wonderful host. Her place is very comfortable and exceptionally clean! It was well stocked and we truly appreciated all the little 'touches' of Alaska in the property such as the assorted artwork and literature. It was the perfect, peaceful base for our Denali adventure!
This was the perfect place for our family of four. The owner was very kind and helped with any questions we had about the area. It was hands down the cleanest rental I’ve stayed in in years- or maybe ever. We enjoyed that it was tucked back in a private setting, and gave us more room than a hotel or tiny cabin. Check out McKinley Creekside for breakfast, lunch, dinner and souvenirs. Highly recommend this property.
There is a reason that the reviews here are so positive. The location can’t be beat, the unit is beautiful, well stocked with thoughtful items, and did we mention the amazing view? We have stayed in MANY rental units and this is definitely one of our favorites!
We enjoyed the beautiful space of the apartment. The location was ideal and so special with the sled dogs nearby. We really appreciated all the recommendations and helpful hints we were given I would highly recommend staying here - you won’t be disappointed.
Had a really good time at Denali and staying here was so convenient. We really loved the place and there were so many little things that we so appreciated. Would highly recommend!!
This was a great place to stay while visiting Denali NP. The location provided easy access to the area, and the apartment was lovely- nicer than the pictures showed - with beautiful art and homey touches. For those wanting to cook meals, the kitchen provided all you would need including spices, and lots of cooking items not usually found in a VRBO. We would recommend this to anyone looking to avoid the crowded lodge experience.
