Located 5 miles west of beautiful and historic Christiansted, St. Croix, this Gentle Winds condominium features 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and has a distinct resort feel. Just steps from your front door, a spectacular pool borders a tiki-lined beach with one of the best swimming areas on the island Take a break from the sun and surf at the Sunny Beach Shack Bar and Grill! Relax with a tropical drink or enjoy lunch including fabulous salads, burgers, and other beach favorites! Want something more? The Great Room features traditional mahogany furniture, a library with board games, shuffleboard, corn hole, and a ping pong table or perhaps just take in the magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea from the patio. After a great day outdoors, relax in your Caribbean-themed condo which includes a fully equipped kitchen for eating at home. Enjoy morning coffee or night stargazing on 1 of 3 private balcony patios. The condo includes free WiFi/cable TV, a full-size washer/dryer, all linens/towels, and toilet paper. On the property, there are tennis courts, a basketball court, and an area for golfers to practice their game. Nearby activities include kayak tours, para-sailing, a rainforest zip-line, island Jeep tours and 2 golf courses. Before you leave, be sure to take in a half-day sail to Buck Island and snorkel through the Underwater National Park and Reef!

Loved it

We loved our stay in this beautiful condo. Did lots of research to pick a great place and found it here. It was a great quiet spot not a place to party but very private and beautiful. The privacy and beauty of the beach is as good as I’ve ever experienced.

Perfect paradise

This property was ideal for our family, it had everything you would need for a perfect vacation. It has a great location, close to many wonderful restaurants and beaches.

Great getaway

Beautiful location with picture perfect view. Condo had everything that we needed and more. Pool and beach area was amazing. Easy check in/check out process and great communication.

Best spot in Gentle Winds

Ocean breezes, rainbow views, a well appointed unit, we had everything we needed. We love coming to STX and Gentle Winds, and this is the best unit we've stayed in. Can't wait to come back!

Fantastic Family Vacation

Property as advertised and well-stocked with essentials for convenience. Host was very communicative and accommodating. Beautiful location -- pool and beach area particularly nice. Sunny Beach Shack great place to pick up lunch or dinner with the family.

We had a wonderful stay at beautiful Gentle Winds. I would give Jessica 5 stars for communication. The living room furniture also gets 5 stars because most condos that sleep 6 people don't actually have comfortable seating for 6-this living room furniture was adequate and comfortable. We also appreciated the dining table on the screened porch and ate all our meals there. Cleanliness: 3 stars. Overall the condo was clean but the details of kitchen cabinet handles and the handles on the door to the porch where we ate our meals was not as good as it should be. The bathrooms: 1 star. The showers and toilets are badly in need of updating. They are very old, and while they work, they are not of a quality they should be for a condo in this complex or for the price we paid. The shower and toilet in the upstairs bathroom did not work when we checked in. I contacted Jessica and she responded immediately. She was able to get a plumber in to do the repairs in spite of it being a weekend...hence the 5 star communication rating. I will add that we came back to the condo for lunch after a morning at Isaac's Bay and found the power was out. This was a planned shut down, and it would have been nice to be informed in advance in order to plan around having no electricity, water or toilets. Overall we had a nice stay - thank you to Jessica.

Visited Gentle Winds a few times and this is our favorite building. Condo is exactly as depicted in the listing. Very nice. Planning a return trip!

Everything you need

What a great 3BR condo on a great property. The condo was clean and had so many ‘extras’ for guests - beach towels, beach toys and gear, coolers, tons of board games etc. The little back patio with great ocean views was perfect for morning coffee everyday. Can’t wait to come back again next year.

Perfect spring break trip

Let me just say, I love Gentle Winds and I’m very familiar with the properties there and know what I’m getting. This condo was exactly as we expected and we were very happy with our stay. The beds were comfy and the kitchen met our needs with plenty of supplies. The view from the balcony made for a very nice work from home situation while the rest of the family had beach time. We had a couple of hiccups that weren’t under the control of the owner, but we had it all worked out in no time and had a great week. I really enjoy staying in a place that the owner also uses - it feels more like a home and not a sterile place. The owner and neighbors are all very friendly, and the Sunny Shack’s convenience cannot be beat. One piece of advice I have, as it’s a new lesson I learned this trip, avoid sitting on the beach at dusk or at night (at least without bug spray) since this is when the sand flies come out. They ate me up and I only found relief with ice packs. Surprisingly, the sea water helped a bit on the second day. For the flight home, the OTC muscle relief patches (menthol & NSAID) was the best thing ever. Just want to put that out there since the bugs are a constant everywhere. Bottom line, book this place - it’s great, but keep the secret about stx and gentle winds.

The Perfect Place!

This condo was perfect for us! It was so convenient to everything on the island. The view was amazing! We could see the ocean and hear the waves. We really appreciated the well stocked kitchen and all of the supplies for the beach, snorkeling gear, towels, bags, coolers, paddleball and so much more. It felt like our home away from home! Thank you for everything Jessica!

Location Location Location

The GW property was the perfect location for our work/vacation. The private grounds and aminites are beautiful. The property is conveniently located near all the things we needed while on island. Whether is was food or entertainment (ie. snorkeling, kayaking or scenic drives) we did not have to go far to find it. Our host Jess was the best. Her property was ready to go with all things beach related. We will be back to stay at GW again when work or pleasure brings us back to STX.
