Beautiful Ocean Views of the channel and island of Lanai, Kaanapali Beach and west Maui Mountains greet you each morning on your private 11th floor lanai. Relax in the tropical breezes and the sounds of the surf as you watch whales (Dec-April) and dolphins dance in the ocean. Inhale picturesque evening Sunsets with tropical drinks in-hand and soft Hawaiian music.

During the day slip into your flip flops, check out towels from the beach activities kiosk and step out to the pool and soft, sandy beach to enjoy your choice of water activities. Snorkeling at world famous Black Rock is a short walk down the beach. Sail on a whale-watching or sunset cruise. Scuba and sport fishing are readily available. Or settle down in a lounge chair with your favorite book.

Did we mention golf? The Royal Kaanapali course (36 holes) is across the street. The Bay and Plantation courses are a quick 15 minute drive. You'll enjoy the on-site tennis courts that have been recently resurfaced and tennis pro who will arrange matches or lessons with like ability players.

Located directly on world famous Kaanapali Beach, the Whaler has impressive amenities. They include a lovely lobby, concierge, newly remodeled pool and hot tub, nautilus equipped fitness center, tennis, gas barbecues, business center where you can print boarding passes, and salon/spa.

Whaler's Village, adjacent to the Whaler, is a high-end but low key (flip flops and cover-ups are de rigueur ) shopping, dining and entertainment mecca. Restaurants and shops dot the 2 mile promenade that runs along the beach, perfect for a morning walk and evening stroll. Lahaina, a small town and former way-station for 18th century whalers, is a short 2 miles away, easily reachable by car or a free trolley car from Whaler's Village.

Only one unit back from the ocean-side in Tower 2 at the Whaler, Unit #1157 is located on the sunny, south side of this impressive resort. The one bedroom unit with two full baths (1100+ sq ft including the 200+ sq ft lanai) has a king size bed complimented by a queen size Murphy bed in the living room easily accommodating up to 4 people. It is well furnished with two new LCD TV's, new blu-ray DVD player, telephone and complimentary hi speed Wi-Fi connection. You will enjoy a recently remodeled fully equipped kitchen including granite counters, new cabinetry, blender, microwave and coffee maker. Floor to ceiling windows, air conditioning and ceiling fans in both rooms will keep you comfortable. Linens are provided. Shared free washer/dryers are down the hall next to the three elevators. The unit and the Whaler Resort is entirely nonsmoking.

A $16/day Resort Fee will be collected by the Whaler upon departure. Amenities provided included high speed internet, Cable TV, gym equipment, and water and tea in the lobby, pool umbrellas, towels, lemonade and coffee at the pool, and other services are covered by the Resort Fee.

Perfect Condo with the best view ever

I've stayed at the Whaler since I was a teenager. My parents used to own a unit on the 7th floor and I thought that was the best view until I stayed here. It's incredible and looks just like the pictures even better. Sleeping to the calming sound of the ocean with our sliding doors open is so soothing. There are so many beautiful birds to hear in the morning, I'm so at peace. This unit is just high enough to hear the music from the Hula Grill where it's just right. To me this condo gets the very best views as its on the.sunny side of the Whaler to view the Pacific Ocean and Kaanapali Beach.

The owner Judy was very personable and answered my questions quickly. It all went very smoothly and we had a fantastic trip! Even though the construction was going on in the lobby and part of Whaler's Village, we still frequented our favorite stores and restaurants. I highly recommend the Ahi Tacos at the Hula Grill. When Whalers Village is complete (Soon) it will be top-notch!

We would love to stay here again and it being on the 11th floor helped me get my exercise in each day!

Perfect for our family!

1st time staying in this condo with our 2 teenagers. Had a great time although it could have been a bit longer stay. 5 nights just wasn't enough. It was perfect size especially having the 2 bathrooms. The view sitting on the balcony was awesome. Loved be able to cook on the immaculate barbeques on the ground level. Thank you so much for making this such a great vacation for us and lovely memories. Can't wait to come back!!

Another Excellent Stay at Unit 1157

This is our second time staying in this beautiful condo! I had in my memories how great it was but I didn't truly realize the beauty of this view until we came back. Once again I was drawn in by the sounds and sights of the ocean, the view of the catamarans coming and going from the front of the Whaler's Village and the comfort of this condo. I can't wait for stay number 3!!

I would give 6 stars if I could

This was our second time staying at The Whaler and would return every year if it wasn't so far away (East Coast). The owner was delightful to work with and always answered my e-mails promptly. The pictures of the condo don't reflect how truly beautiful it is and because of its location, the view, and convenience to everything our vacation was AMAZING! We enjoyed eating at Hula Grill, having coffee and acai bowls at Island Vintage Coffee and shopping at The Whaler Village which was only minutes within walking distance. We, also, enjoyed just relaxing and listening to live Hawaiian music daily while sitting on our own lanai. If you are looking for the perfect vacation, book this condo. You won't regret it!

Excellent accommodations, ideal location

Our stay at the Whaler was fantastic. The view is amazing, of course. The beach, Hula Grill, and Whalers Village are all a few minutes walking distance. The room is located in the tower above the parking garage, so it's logistically very easy to come and go with luggage or groceries. There are two full bathrooms in the room, and the condo is divided into two large rooms, each with beds (Murphy bed in one) and TVs, which was perfect for kids. Well stocked with kitchenware, towels, and beach toys. The owners were a pleasure to work with, always kind, reliable, and responsive to emails. Our first reaction upon walking in was, "Let's make this an annual event."

My family and I stayed at this condo for 11 nights. We loved everything about it. The unit was clean when we arrived. The kitchen was full of cooking utensils.The bathrooms where nice. The views where amazing from the lanai. The unit is in a perfect location. Also the owner of the condo was very easy to work with. If I had any questions I would get a quick response back. I would recommend this unit to anybody that is looking for a condo in Maui!!
