A month in Conse Cours sur Loire
If you are looking for a quaint but not boring town where you can walk to the local restaurants, markets, and shops or drive 30 minutes to a landmark or winery, then Cosne Cours sur Loire is your place.
My twenty-something daughter and I were looking for a place where we would have enough space to not drive each other crazy while we spent a month in this quaint town to unwind and rejuvenate. Eric and Gilles made our stay magical. The apartment is in the middle of everything and decorated with style and comfort. The minute we got there, we thought one month wasn't enough. It felt like we escaped from the world.
We took the train from Paris, about a two-hour ride, and then walked nine minutes from the station to the apartment. We had a separate entrance, and the bedrooms and common area were decently sized. The furniture was classic French antiques; some pieces were directly from their grandmother. There was everything you need to cook and make yourself at home.
My daughter has started getting into baking and there were cooking materials even for that!
Most of all, Eric and Gilles were wonderful.
