Set apart from the village, you can relax in the peaceful surroundings of the 12-meter heated pool, the pétanque court, the terrace, or the dovecote—now converted into a library with a daybed. The fully enclosed 2-hectare grounds ensure peace and quiet. Nearby, you’ll find the Rochers du Saussois, a premier rock-climbing destination, charming villages with local shops, and the Canal du Nivernais.
The Château features a large outdoor pool, heated seasonally from May to September, with a safety curtain that meets anti-drowning standards for children.
The Château has 5 bedrooms, including 2 family suites with a separate children’s area:
- A suite with a king-size bed (180 cm), a bathroom with a bathtub and toilet
- A family suite on the ground floor with a king-size bed (180 cm) and a separate children’s room with a queen-size bed (140 cm), a bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet
- A family suite on the upper floor with a king-size bed (180 cm), and a separate children’s room with a twin bed (90 cm), a bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet
- A bedroom with a queen-size bed (160 cm) overlooking the Colombier, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet
- A bedroom with a 160 cm bed overlooking the pool, bathroom with shower and toilet
A large 60-square-meter vaulted room featuring a fully equipped kitchen (open-concept refrigerator, two dishwashers, washing machine, range with three ovens and five induction burners...) allows you to gather around the large table and its 12 chairs. A working fireplace is available for use in the winter.

The Château is conveniently located just 2 hours from Paris and 30 minutes south of Auxerre in the beautiful village of Mailly-le-Château. Direct trains run three times a day from Paris-Bercy to Mailly-la-Ville, just 2 km away. I offer a transfer service between Auxerre and/or Mailly to take you to the Château.
For hiking enthusiasts, this is the ideal starting point for numerous hiking trails along the cliffside.
