Why Patricia McKay chose Harbor Springs

This property was purchased shortly after Pat cycled the DALMAC, and was introduced to the beauty of M 119 and Emmet County. It has brought many years of enjoyment to her friends and family.

A fabulous two weeks!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful two weeks in this lovely cottage. It could not have been nicer. The setting alone is so beautiful, the yard, flowers, trees - and the house was very comfortable and so well equipped. We were right at home, everything was lovely. It was great having all the supplies there, plus the linens and fully stocked kitchen. Our first week there was cool, but we enjoyed the fire pit. Loved Church beach - were there every day if not swimming at least on the beach looking for stones and beach glass. I loved riding my bike on M119, was not at all nervous about it. Loved the General Store - and the entire area which was all new to us after so many years of living in Michigan. We were there for the Fair which was great fun, wonderful vendors. Highly recommend Legg's for the food and setting, and Douglas Lake Bar and Grill for the food. Thanks for your hospitality, we will be back!

Owner's Response: Thank you Dan for your wonderful comments. We are glad you enjoyed our cottage, Good Hart, Lake Michigan, and the Tunnel of Trees as much as we do! So glad you were able to enjoy some of the local shops and food too! Pat

Relaxing spacious home and great views of Lake Michigan

  • 5 of 5

My siblings, mother and I were there to celebrate my brothers 60th birthday and walk the bridge. We all relaxed very nicely as soon as we got there. We arrived just in time to watch the sunset over the lake and that set the tone for the rest of the weekend!

Photos do not do this home justice. Great cross country ski trail after general store down road tow

  • 5 of 5

Great cross country ski trail Down road toward mission then right toward beach. However in heavy snow travel to nubs and Boyne can be difficult and at least 30 min. .

Magnificent Michigan Memories

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home on the lake. The owner was quick to communicate with us and the house was all we could have hoped for. The well-stocked kitchen was a great help, and the view of the lake must be seen in person to be believed. We went to the beach by the church and had some of the best swimming we've ever had on the lake. Highly recommend this for a little piece of lakeside paradise!

Overall a wonderful stay...

  • 4 of 5

The property was very nice, secluded with a good view of the lake. We spent our evenings, weather permitting, on the deck area grilling and watching the amazing sunsets. The house, particularly the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. This really had the feel of a home, not a rental.

My only complaint is that you cannot access the lake from the house. We never found the easement. We ended up at the Church Beach which is a lovely Lake Michigan beach and did not disappoint.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. To clarify our beach easement, we have added a video to our listing that shows how the easement is accessed.

Awesome setting!

  • 5 of 5

Our family loved everything about Sunset View Cottage! Every day we had deer walk through the yard and the views of the lake were wonderful. We had three great beach days at the Church beach. Everything we needed was provided and what we didn't have we were able to get at the Good Hart Store. This was a great place for grandparents to toddlers!
